This is the best video on baseboard return cuts I have seen. I cut the the baseboard and chair rail returns I needed on the first try. I've struggled with these for years and tried to have my father in law teach me how to do them more than once but was never able to. Most of the videos skip a step in explaining how to do it. Thanks!

When you cut the return you flipped the baseboard so the thicker portion is against the fence, correct?

What if you cut the 45 like a picture frame and terminated it at the floor?
