The Bass Arrow never dies
Literally said the same shit in my head just before I saw ur comment. I salute👌
I still fire one off every time I listen to this track
I use to do that when we came up with some good stuff at rehearsal space :D
i miss this
And still, 6 years later. It's alive and well
Just checking out this band because the guy with the shirt on the Jared Dines vid
same dude, now im going to check out all their songs ^_^
Me too lol
Lol.
Yuppers
SAME! LOL
I'm really glad this specific version of this video is still up. Don't get me wrong. The quality is abominable. That's just it, though. This is exactly how I found this video twelve years ago when I was 15, stumbled upon this video, and this band changed music for me. It's a beautifully ugly time capsule. I wouldn't have it any other way.
That's honestly a beautiful way to look at this, holy shit
❤️
Preach my friend
This man speaks the truth. My first was Bloodmeat, and hell yeah my man, changed music for me forever. Got to meet the boys in person some years ago, and they were the friendliest bunch of blokes. Eating pizza and drinking beer before their show at a little bar called Sundowners close to Johannesburg in South Africa when i still lived there.
It's just shitty video quality, it's not that serious dude.
To this day, when I’m on stage. I still fire many bass arrows. Thank you arif ❤
14 years later and I still want a cut of this video where it’s only takes of Arif playing bass
Agreed. I came back to this video cause I'm trying to learn the song on bass 😭😭
i love the bassist and his hand gestures. one of my favorite bands ever!!
The arrow never gets old, arif one hell of a bassist though 🤘😍
My sister went to prom with him
This still slaps after 15 years!
Right there with ya
The Bass Arrow never dies #2023
their singer has such a massive range! Not a huge fan of the band, but I hugely respect them as amazing musicians
Everyone in this band oozes with talent and yes I have to agree the bassist is RIDICULOUSLY good
This desperately needs to be re-uploaded in better quality. Great song and video. But that quality though.
M
240p...ughhh
F
Agreed
every time i hear these guys, i can't help but thinking "these guys would've been huge in the '80s"
🤔
One of the most underrated unfortunately. Absolutely love everything of this band.
I can't single out anything which impresses me the most. Guitarists, bassist, drums, vocalist, they're all well above par in my opinion. They all hold themselves with such confidence, and I don't know many smoking vocalists with a range like Rodys'. Definitely one of my favourite bands.
Yeah that bassist is everything...period
The bassist is just loving life in this video, he's so cool!
Smooth. The arpeggios at the end are so beautiful.
Man, I remember stumbling across this song as I was looking for music to rip off of UA-cam in the early years.... The nostalgia of that bass I swear makes my heart so happy
Wow almost 12 years ago. I remember watching this when it was first released. I had the 'dirt off your shoulder' and the arrow parts down after the first hour.
Same
Thank you, obsessive fan

this guys voice an skill is phenomenal. this song stands like a brick, undeniably well written
The audio quality of a potato.
the audio quality of asking alexandria*
Richard Levick I lo e these guys. But asking alexandria is my favorite band. You sure as hell know nothing about them if you're using them as part of an insult. : p get out of your bubble and listen to bands who haven't gone on Hiatus
ricardomavs817 I hope you're joking.
The potato sounds waaaaay better
@@ricardomavs817 they are back
this band is awesome. And the singer is also incredible.
Why is it so hard for all these labels to upload videos from prior to 2010 in a respectable quality? It's not 1999, why is everything in like, 140p.
Its because youtubes file size limit was really small and videos had to be compressed to all hell for it to be uploaded.
the audio quality is also low
I actually get quite a nostalgic feeling from this. XD
The versatility of this band kicks in my ears. I love it.
watching for the bass arrow in 2015!
+Ivan Espinoza Even today! 2016. bass arrow
Ivan Espinoza Bass Arrow in 2017 :D
Strong reppin' in 2019 🙏🙏
Bass arrow june 27th 2019 😉😜
2020
i love how in the breakdown everyone ones rockin out and the bassist is sittin there all chilled :P
Arif firing the bow is the most legit thing I've ever seen.
The bow shot is legendary.
240p. Nice.
making progress from the bloodmeat vid
Just what I was thinking...
The Bloodmeat video sounds better tho
from potato to melon
I rather have good audio
I had the audio from this video on my MP3 player back in high school. It’s funny listening to it now and realizing how low quality it is, lol. Forever a great song though.
Gotta love the crisp 240p quality
why? hes an incredible vocalist, ridiculously good range...it would be difficult to find another vocalist with that much talent and versatility.
Man saw these guys live in Dallas back in '09, haven't listened to them in ages and still remember the lyrics!
these guys are my age and i couldnt dream of even beginning to comprehend to start writing music like this sooooo... huge props i love it
Sometimes it takes u to get older to realize others talents but this guy has a beautiful range in his voice
Love this song, and they look like they had so much fun making this video. I know I had fun watching it^^
And I love 1:13
The vocalist is what makes a lot of their stuff great. Anything else would blow.
coolest bassist ever !
wow. the vocalist has amazing rage and he sounds freaking good. if can do this live without screwing up. RESPECT!
Man, some of respect with the band, Vagrant Records. Please, re-upload this video in a decent quality.
Still epic...dudes got an amazing set of pipes
1:11 epic bow-and-arrow shot
search 'arif is lethal'
MIDImorphosis You sir just made my fucking year AWESOME!!! Thank you so very very much!!!
This band is the manifestation of having one part of a song but not having the other part finished and just doing whatever you want with it.
@keepitsecret-dl1pr no. This band isn't the same
PTH still kicks ass in 240px
2024. Still watching. Fucking dope.
This song never gets old... Even after almost 10 years.... Who watch this in 2017?
nelly daydreamer me everyday lol
June 2019 😁🤘
I noticed something about this band, I never like the way they start the songs off but once it begins to progress through I really start to enjoy them.
Going thru a bunch of music videos... found this, some Periphery, and other bands... about to jump back into this metal tho! Damn Protest was fuckin amazing at what they did. This was the song that got me started on them. And i have these albums. Gotta go listen again
This band...his voice...hell yes! I remember seeing them at Warped Tour back in 2008. Still love these guys.
I'm here after Jared dines interview jaja
I love it when Prince does the bass arrow.
I believe i was watching a Protest the hero video, not a The Killers Video.
Shortest track on the album. In my opinion, the best damn track. Just goes to show that good things come in small packages.
Aaron Paul knows how to sing
....bitch
That's exactly what I was thinking
those high notes doe O.o so epic
This album dropped two days after the second episode of the first season of Breaking Bad was aired (and, consequently, nine days after the first episode)
one of the coolest bands out there right now
damn, protect the hippo is cool
prolapse the .. ehe
predict the end is nearo are my fav band
Ох ну и крутые же ребятки. Было время до дыр их заслушивал. \m/
In Russia with love, guys 🤘🤘🤘
No one can walk straight in those hallways apparantly. Awesome vocals though.
Arif is crazy on bass. That shit is hard. And he screams while playing that complicated shit lol.
1:14 that harmonic
the way the music goes i think we will have to grow a second pair of hands to play it...they play so fu..ng unreall i cant believe i could play that live as they do...and i play guitar 20 years..
The intro reminds me of Jason Becker's "perpetual burn".
He wouldn't happen to be the other former Cacophony guitarist (along with Marty Friedman), would he...?
yes he is! awesomeness overload.
im soo pumped im gonna go see them
FUCCKKK CANT WAIT YEAAAAA!!!!!
Why jesse pickman so mad lol
Rody predates jesse
You predate my joke!
magnificent 240p HD ... somehow song still sounds awesome
the guy on jared’s vid got me all hyped... i’m so disappointed
Imi D is it because of the quality of the video? I could understand that but if you're talking about this bands musical talent then there's nothing to be disappointed about at all, they deliver.
I’m disappointed at your disappointment.
What Davy said
omg what are u talking about.. this man have a HUGE range of vocal tech.. is amazing!
Freddie Mercury???
Agree 100%
Sounds more like Dio to me
Spot on
yeah, and very very clean vocal
All tapping together how cool and done tastefully. wow just stumbled onto these guys
Looks like it was filmed with a tamale
greatest bassist ever!
Jesse Pinkman
Alessio Angelini protest the hero, bitch.
Rody Walker and Randy Blythe are the two best screamers in metal. period.
I love youuuuu protest the hero!!!!!!!!!!
Definitely an awesome few seconds.
ill never get over this band
one of the best bands around!!!
PTH fan for life
r u kidding????
this is amazingg!!!!!
Probably the best Progressive Metal band to come out of Canada
Don't forget into eternity
@@benjaminberkey2920 oh! i did forget about them. straight outta Saskatchewan.
@@deemorty6831 they were definitely one of the best prog metal bands in Canada. Too bad they broke up.
Amen brother, amen.
Any song pwns through the fire and flames..
sikth + faith no more = protest the hero =)
AWESOME =D
i just heqard them today and im already getting hooked, this is a hella good band, love their music now, great shit & agreeing with everyone else, the bass is hella sick
Arif Mirabdolbaghi is such an underrated bassist. What I mean is no one mentions him when asked who the best is. But imho, he's hands down one of the top 3 among metal bassists. He is just amazing.
Best Band EEEEEVER! God just listen to that insane shit!
I absolutely love that this video is the same one I saw 15 years ago. I remember downloading the tab for this song first and I thought to myself - "How the fuck are they even playing that?" then saw the video and was like "Ohhhhhh. I have a long way to go" lol
these are the best sweeps I've ever heard
godly
Protest the Hero, making Canada proud since 1999.
Amazing song/video. I cant stop watching!!!
The audio quality of this really puts in perspective; 2000-something us heard this as crispy when nowadays it sounds like melodic cicadas
the best there is the bassist hes great!!
six years and still awesome in my playlist..
Best song I've heard in a while.
Steinberger's are possibly the sickest guitars and basses out there
He's also one of the very best and I would love to be as good as he is.
so f***ing awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm diggin' the synapse bass
