A night on the Rhinogs area after summiting Rhinog Fach in my MLD Duomid tent. An 8.5 mile (13.6km) hike with 2000ft (609m) of ascent.
Many thanks for watching - Dave

Nice one Dave. I need to try that area too .....some really fantastic visuals again.
Cheers John. Glad you enjoyed it. ATB - Dave
👍😁 Great as always dave. The rhnogs is a lovely unspoilt wild part of Wales. Can be brutal at times but worth all the effort once up on the summits.. A good trip was that dave 👍🏴
Cheers Mike 😎👍
Great vid mate amazing remote area I visited last winter same as you I didn't see anyone mind you the road in to the parking area was a nigjtmare if you met anyone 🤣
Cheers Dave. Yeah, know what you mean about that road 🤦🏻♂️😁
Cracking video! I camped on the little grass section down at llyn hywel a couple months ago and you’re right about the remoteness, definitely feel like you’re the only one for miles in the Rhinogs. Enjoyed seeing higher up, hope to get up there when I return to the area next year
Nice one. Glad you enjoyed it 😎⛺️⛰👍
Lovely video again Dave, thank you. It is always a breath of fresh air to join you on your mountain ventures. How wonderfully ironic to see you the SOLO summiteer, wild camping ONE on ONE, and LONE explorer, bunched together as a bantering gang on the hills in Wales. What a gallant effort of you to describe your route with all those Welsh hilltop names around you. In the Lake District you can rattle off the whole panorama mentioning every peak that you can see, but it’s quite funny when you have to refer to ‘I’ll put the name of this hill on screen’. All the best to you, keep safe, and I look forward to your next trip.
I do struggle with the Welsh peaks and the pronunciation 🥴. Glad you enjoyed it John 👍
Fantastic Brew ;) loved it. Questions about your gear lol ... like them sunnies... where cud I get a pair of those:) BTW suggestion for solitude in Wales is a beautiful area and mountain albeit low is Cnicht .... a bit like Barf...you'll love it, worth a mooch :) I loved it tbh... Fantastic video as usual... Great to see you in Wales... getting closer to Eire ☘️ however you'd love the mournes !
Big thanks Merky. I got the specs in Ambleside. Tifosi 😎. Problem with Wales for me is the travelling. 7hr round trip this 🤦🏻♂️
@@TheSoloSummiteer there's not enough time I know :) if only I got sense and began hiking when I was 10 lol
You are just up the road Dave!! Enjoy!!
Another great video Dave. Despite having walked in Wales for 30 years, it was only last summer I ventured into 'The Badlands' - the most rugged and wild area of Snowdonia
Cheers Glyn 👍
Another great video, Dave.👍
Another great video Dave ! Just what I needed ! Thank you
Really enjoyed this Dave. This is a place I must visit now that I've seen your video. Tough ground is what everybody says about it.
Great video Dave just keep them coming 👍
You’ve captured some gargantuan views there Dave. Quality!!!😎👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
🙏🏻
Cracking video mate!
Looks a nice walk Dave & as always you do those mountains justice 👍👏 keep these videos coming they are so inspiring 👍

I remember doing them a few years ago one of the darkest clouds hung over them very atmospheric.Great Video 👍🏻
Nice one Dave. Glad you enjoyed it 😎👍
Just watched. Beautiful views!! Thank you for helping me to relax on this Sunday evening 😊 xx
Big thanks always BG 🙏🏻
Epic as always Dave, imagine the graft laying those stone walls
Cheers Michael. Aye. Proper men put them up 💪
Awesome scenery there Dave. 👍
Cheers pal 😎👍
That was a cracking shot of you on that ridge Dave. And the views looked amazing as the night was setting in, hope you remembered you mattress this time 🤣
Haha. I did John 😁
Enjoyed this one from Wales 👍👍👍👏
Thanks Dave 👍
I love snowdonia, we went up sinister Gully on to bristly ridge, an amazing scramble route up with some incredible exposure. I've not done much in that area but I have done tryfan, pen yr ole wen, glyder fach and glyder fawr. Incredible place the ogwen valley. Nice to see a different area to the lakes from time to time :)
Nice one Ross. Cheers ⛰😎👍
Looked lovely Dave - shame the cloud was down for sunrise but bet your glad it cleared and warmed up a bit 👍👍
Big thanks Murray 😎👍
Awesome video mate, as all of your videos!👌🏾I’ve watched lots of your videos and you really inspire me to do my first wild camping, hopefully next month. What advice you can give for a first time camper?
Thank you 👍🏽
Nice one Raul. Glad you’re enjoying my videos 😎👍. If it’s your first time I would say. Don’t put yourself under pressure. Go somewhere you’re familiar with. Watch the weather for the week before you go; it’s all about the weather. Check your kit before you go. Prepare for the worst. Hope for the best. Enjoy it. Good luck 💪⛰⛺️👍
Looks a cracking spot I'm hopefully down there next week if the weather holds doing Snowdon via Watkins and the night over there and then up to where you were for another night
Sounds fantastic Craig. Enjoy 😎⛰⛺️👍
👋🏻
Quality.
Brill as ever Dave need some stamina what IAM lacking 👍
Aye. I do enjoy the struggle tho 😁
Another good one D👌😍But...I still stand by what I've said before, -camping with these two is probably a gamble on a good day, and judging by the "hyena"-remark, not anything for the faint of heart😁Well done you, for handelling them with such poise👌😁 And the 'wind noise' on that clip?....probably a good idea👌😁🤣
@Scorpio Kitty It’s not going to get any better. Infact, probably much worse. 🤣
@@itsmescottp Oh.My.God.🤦🏼♀️😆🤣🤣
@@scorpiokitty9745 😆
They’re a cross between hyenas and crocodiles. Unfortunately for them, they’re dealing with a lion 🦁😁
😆
Great video Dave. Is the Duomid your go to at the minute?
Thanks. Yeah it really is. It definitely has its limitations but I do love the space to weight ratio ⛺️⛰👍
I'm definitely going to have to head to the rhinogs Dave. The seeing no people did it for me 🤣
Spectacular spot. Would hiking across to y llethr be do able after the ascent you made?
Stay safe and well mate,
Adge
Cheers Agde. Llethr would be no problem from there (for me anyway 😁)
Even though I know it was to windy for drone footage, as I always say, you still smashed them views buddy.
Great video, but it ended to soon, only a short one today haha. I did wanna ask and I've looked on your description but it wasn't there, what hiking poles do you recommend and use in this video? Great watch and I'll look forward to your next adventure 👍 enjoy the rest of your weekend 😀
Cheers Richard. My next video is a bit longer 😉. Trekking poles I used here are Leki. I also have a pair of Black Diamond Carbon Cork.
@@TheSoloSummiteer thanks Dave, I'll look forward to your next vid 😀 👍
Alright mate should of camped on Fawr better pitch area and views
Cheers Lee. Scott had arranged the trip and been up Fawr the week before
@@TheSoloSummiteer still a awesome video
Hi Dave,
Can u recommend a mat that insulates, is supportive of old aching bones and is light? Weight is an issue for me, and the padding too! Ta
My Thermarest Neo Air XLite has served me well, Ian 👍
