    Wideband setting for polynomial is the equation to determine every value along a straight line given the two voltage measures and corresponding AF measures.
    O2 voltages 0v & 5v are the two bookends.
    The sensor usually deviates towards the 18:1 AF ratio but between the typical operating range it's pretty linear.

    Very interesting! I use a dynapack dyno and the FC PRO software.
    The tuning part is the next part of my series!
    I never heard of copilot. Where can I download / buy it?

    Thank you so much for this. I just recently got my supercharged 2zz up and running, and I don't want to drive it out on a basemap to my tuner. This would be perfect for me

      Messed around with this last year on my 3S-GTE.
      Took a long time to figure out what to do. But once I got it, this is a great way to get that off boost base tune. Too scared to get on boost with this software right now.

    Hi there again, I have been messaging monkey wrench racing in order to try to figure out what is wrong with my tune but they haven’t been any help. I have a feeling it has to do with my o2 sensor settings.. when I start up the car without the wideband o2 sensor on it reads about 3 afr more rich than when the o2 sensor turns on. Is this normal?
    My issue is when I reach a certain amount of boost around 5 psi or so the engine cuts out like it stumbles and won’t rev higher forcing me to shift. This usually occurs at 4500 rpm when my turbo is really starting to spin. It also happens sooner if I give it more gas spooling the turbo sooner.
    I talked to quite a few tuner shops and the only advice I got was it sounded like my spark wasn’t working properly. I tried better ngk spark plugs and the car runs smoother as the old spark plugs with less than 1000 miles on them are all black and dark looking.
    Maybe my o2 sensor isn’t reading correctly since the two stock o2 sensors are right after the turbo and the wideband is the recommended 24 inches away which is maybe causing it to have a delayed reading idk but I really could use some help and it seems nobody else has any advice as they do not know how to tune on the power fc or just do not understand my symptoms.

      The first thing I’ll say is your 02 sensors, when plugged in, allow the pfc to control fueling via 02 feedback. This can also be toggled in the pfc in the settings menu of thd commander unit. 02 feedback controls fueling under light loads and keeps the AFR’s between 14.7-15.1. When you roll onto throttle and/or full throttle, the pfc uses the fueling maps.
      My first question is what size fuel injectors are you running and what is your injector duty saying around the time your car stumbles?
      My wideband is about two feet back from my standard 02 sensors, so that placement isn’t a problem.
      I would assume you have an issue with fueling from injectors. A coilpack, spark plug or boost leak are also possible, but without ruling out fueling issues, I can’t diagnose.

      @@PatrickLipp I’ve got 850 injectors, I did a lot of asking around and more research and I think my issue is the spark is being blown out under high load. I’ll be installing some new coil packs and hopefully that fixes the problem.
      Edit the problem was solved with new coils and smaller gapped spark plugs than the new ones I tried. Went with ruthenium.

    What is the cost of the fc-hako unit? The software links seem to be down too

    • @PatrickLipp
      @PatrickLipp  3 роки тому +1

      I’ll get the links back up for the software, but the fc-hako is around $300, but there’s a few other B options as well.

    I was doing a run in my mr2 spyder last night and when I pushed it a bit hard the engine cut out completely and I couldn't get it to start for over 20 min. Do you think copilot disabled the car for some reason?

    • @PatrickLipp
      @PatrickLipp  3 роки тому +1

      Was the car turning over/cranking, did it have power? Chances are, it was a ground or fuse that's loose if the engine cut out. The pfc is dumb when it comes to a stuff like that. The extent of what it'll do is flash the cel if knock reaches to high of a level. Otherwise, chances are, its an issue with the car and not the ecu. I've had my negative battery terminal come loose on me before and it caused lots of problems. I ended up adding a second ground on the chassis and replacing the negative terminal all together and it fixed the problem COMPLETLY.

      @@PatrickLipp yeah it was cranking and had lights etc. Just wouldn't start now it seems fine?

    • @PatrickLipp
      @PatrickLipp  3 роки тому +1

      @@radstar2185 check all of the fuses, making sure they're all seated. Otherwise, if it was cranking, it was probably not getting either spark or fuel which could have been anything. Check all of the connections, disconnecting and reconnecting if needed. Again, check fuses.

      unfortunatly I do not have any maps for the 3sge. FCEdit should have one built into the software though that you can pull and modify/install into the PFC though.

    Hello Patrick I have followed this guide before and AFR was logging fine in Co Pilot. rite now my AFR Gauge is reading 18 and the software reading 7.5 - 7.8 is this because the car hasnt reached operating temp ? - my raw data is showing low also Raw 001-003 & 0.06 volts.

    • @PatrickLipp
      @PatrickLipp  2 роки тому

      Did you configure the polynomial value in copilot for the afr voltage? That’ll be the biggest thing. You’ll need to tell copilot what voltage correlates with what afr. These are specific to each wb02.

    • @PatrickLipp
      @PatrickLipp  2 роки тому

      One other thing to note is if you can make sure the wb02 is grounded to the ecu, or direct to the battery. The variation of voltages can also cause issues brought on by grounding points.

    So question, do you need to be plugged into the car with it running in order to set everything up?

    • @PatrickLipp
      @PatrickLipp  2 роки тому +1

      For fcEdit, no. You can load one of the included maps into the software and work from that. With CoPilot, you’ll need to create a workspace by pulling the current tune from your car and then you can make changes.

    • @zokusharuuku1091
      @zokusharuuku1091 2 роки тому

      @@PatrickLipp thanks, just figured that out earlier today. I’ve got a base map backed up and did everything you said for copilot in order to tune it once I start it up. I just have to relearn the idle and reload the tune. Do you have to relearn the idle if you get larger injectors in the future or is there a way to adjust the tune? I really wouldn’t have been able to get to where I am without your videos, they’re a great help!
