So, I have a question: Which SW- Mototech engine guard did you select? They don't exactly make one for aHyper. I know you did an in-depth video of the installation. I'm thinking of seeing if Micah wants to take on the take, and since he has a Hyper; throwing one unit for his bike may just be the carrot!
That's not a small amount spent on crash protection and it's done its job. Not sure I would feel like I've got away with anything, you'll be in for a pretty penny to put it back tip top, not least reinvesting in much of the crash protection. Good luck with the relatively minor repairs, looking forward to seeing it back on the road.
The heat shield on your exhaust is missing a screw, I lost one about 1200km. It has two screws to hold it in place. I dropped mine at low speed recently, no crash protection, bars, risers, riser bolts, tank panel, radiator panel, front guard, and some sundries, about AUD$4500 for parts. Ordered crash protection while it was in for repairs....
@@hypermotardking I noticed mine doing the same "wiggle" when I was cleaning it, as soon as I saw yours I knew the other screw was missing. With 2 bolts in it won't swing about like that. Happy to have been of assistance 😎
Bit surprised by the extent of damage. Nothing serious hopefully, but quite many parts took hit. Bent bar is the most worrying, hope that there's nothing more broken in the front. Anyway, thanks to good protection and bit of luck, the rider and the bike came out ok 👍 Any idea if it's going to affect your riding? I guess crashes can haunt you. I've had only minor ones, mostly at slow speeds and with dirtbike. Good that you have that track day coming up!
I wouldn't stress the bent bar. Bikes with soft mounted bars tend to do that after a spill. It's probably the bushings not the bar itself. You just loosen the mounting hardware and bring the bars back in line. I've done it a handful of times on my DR650 after spills in the dirt.
Looks like the rear subframe is bent and check the front lock stops as your bars are quite bent also check the front wheel bearings to be on the safe side I’ve estimated loads of Ducatis over the years 😊
I awoke to news about your crash! The good news is that you are up and about! If you are interested; I have OEM tank body plastic, exhaust plastic which I can ship to you. My Hyper had 7 miles when I replied it all. Regarding the brackets under the rear part of the seat that hold plastic above pipes; those are easily malleable. Micah sent me the news this morning. Since I have zero recollection of the moments preceding my crash, nor the aftermath; riding buddies claim that it may have been the EvoTech frame slider on the right side that fractured my tibia. I've since opted for the more compact Aella unit. While I'll be a gimp for life, the upside is that it was the tag-along right leg and not the do-everything left! Let me know about the plastic; they're in a box in the garage scowling at me.
Ahh man appreciate that.. i still need to properly take the bike apart and like u said see what i can move about - at the moment i just want the rad/bars/footpeg sorted as I have a Euro Track event at Assen TT next month with the lads 🤟🏽
@@hypermotardking DucaBike will sell single sides of their bar ends, so no worries about that; you have to sort out the crookedness of that end. You do not want to show up at Assen looking like you pulled the bike out a rubbish bin!
Man, that carbon fiber rear hugger you had on there got damaged so badly, it stripped all the carbon fiber off it. Insurance needs to replace that immediately. ;)
I would take a closer look at your subframe and make sure that is not bent all the other stuff is simple maybe you can get some red handlebars or maybe blue or gold.😊
Hope to see that beast back into shape really soon.
Thanks 🤛🏼🤛🏼
@@hypermotardking just ordered the panigale rim, hopefully it will fit 🤞
crash protection really did its thing! time for a nice set of bling risers and bar! glad you're ok
Hopefully take the bars apart this weekend and check it out

I own Hyper 950 too and I feel so sad to see the damage on your bike but I guess you had a great fun of off-road or sliding turn before it crashed.
Well hopefully I’ll still be able to once everything is verified as straight
Hope you get it back up and running quickly.
I’ll try.. this isn’t my area of expertise 😭

Its the sw-motech from a Hyper 821.. should be easy work for Micah
@@hypermotardking Thanks, I'll discuss the possibility with him!
Hi where do you buy your fancy parts from as looking to upgrade parts on my 2018 sp. Sorry about the bike.

First priority is get it ready and running for Assen TT trackday next month
Would probably have been cheaper to not have the crash protection and let the bike get totaled out by insurance

That blue pipe is Sick
I might actually leave the rear fairings off 👍🏻
Let us know about next steps. Will have it assessed by Ducati?
Will get my local mechanic friend to check it over.. then decide the next steps if it can fixed myself or through insurance

Nah.. dont think it will - actually rode the bike back after this fine and the track day will kick me bsck into gear chasing the big V4’s
