National Champion Texas Longhorns is what I want to hear!
Listening during a rain break. Love the quick hitting updates from the OTF team. Also, comments are super! Keep up the awesome work OTF! At 51.4K keep building. Hook’Em Horns 🤘🏻🤘🏼🤘🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏽🇺🇸🏈
Thank you. Hook’Em!!!
Y’all are doing a great job guys. I’ll be glad when the season gets here. Been having football withdrawal since all the recruiting has started! lol Right now I’ve been looking at the games from last year to kinda pacify myself. Hook’em 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🏈
If you are hearing: speed more than we thought at the WR position, then without a doubt Quinn will need to work through his progressions and timing much quicker. This will put an additional challenge on Quinn.
We have speed. but there isn't more speed than Worthy and Mitchell had last season
@@hufftex3015agreed, JWhitt has wheels and I don't think any player at tight end is as fast as Sanders but could be wrong
@@hufftex3015 yeah, Worthy set the all-time record at the combine. You don’t get much faster than that.
I have been recently thinking a lot about the first team and second team Offensive Line for Texas. I think that position group will primarily determine how far Texas ultimately goes in their quest for a national championship. Kelvin Banks might be First Team All SEC and First Team All American this season. However, Jake Majors and Devon Campbell need to consistently play well enough where they are acknowledged as Second Team All SEC. If they do play well enough to garner that acclaim, Texas should have the nation's best Offensive Line, even above the great Offensive Lines that LSU, Georgia, and Alabama have.
I am really interested in seeing Texas play well enough in games this season that before the fourth quarter begins in at least half of their games, the second team Offensive Line is playing. My view of the first team and second team Offensive Lines are below.
First Team
LT Kelvin Banks
LG Neto Umeozulu
C Jake Majors
RG Devon Campbell
RT Cameron Williams
Second Team
LT Trevor Goosby
LG Hayden Conner
C Conner Robertson
RG Cole Hutson
RT Brandon Baker
Just like the Texas secondary has to play well as a group to maximize all of the talent in that position group, the same is the case for the first team and second team Offensive Line for Texas. I think there will be a lot of competition at LG and RG for Texas. I personally think all four players I listed at those positions can start for Texas. However, I hope Coach Flood determines starters relatively quickly, so the first team will quickly be in tact and can develop unity playing together, and so can the second team.

I think the OL may evolve in composition over the course of the season or at least situationally. For instance, Hayden early due to experience, continuity and pass blocking.... Then Neto as leads are built and running game importance to close out contests takes precedence. As the season progresses, the snap distribution could skew towards Neto more as he grows in pass pro prowess.
That is very possible. I am just a strong proponent of consistency, and I think the more the Offensive Line starters and Secondary starters play together as a group, the better they will play.

@@DavidKeithWilliams-hg5nm totally agree which is why I think Hayden gets the benefit of the doubt initially until someone else makes a case that is undeniable.
Great points Mr. Williams. OL will push us to the roads of glory🤘
The Championship Rings really should have read Best Big 14 Conference Champions.
K. J. Lacey connecting well with Ffrench at Elite 11. Texas should lock down Ffrench this week.
At least two USC recruiting targets look like Longhorn leans.
🤘🏻🤘🏼🤘🤘🏽🤘🏾🤘🏿
Come on down Ffrench!!!

I saw a group of large humans downtown ATX earlier in front of Fuego de Choi
One looked like Daniel Cruz and one looked a lot like X man
Fogo de Chão?
I was driving 😁
Who did we lose out of HS that might come back to the state after coaching changes?
I've heard Arthur Treacher is a maybe
Do we get Texas running the "hide the midget" play? Mukuba shows just how big a mistake Herman was.
Let's be honest. Defensively Texas has struggle to get top tier talent through recruiting. So those recruits are seeing something or not seeing something where they're not jumping on board. I think they're definitely needs to be some type of defensive change... New coordinator
I think it has to do more with less players wanting to play defense at the high school level. They all want to be wide receivers.
Yup..Steve is going to have to address his lack of elite recruiters on the defensive side of the ball...People don't really like to talk about it..but outside of the secondary Texas hasnt won a lot of elite defensive recruit battles under Pete's staff....Now even the elite secondary recruits Texas could always count on are not looking at Texas this cycle....Pete's staff has problems attracting elite defensive Talent..Remember Hill is at Texas due to Aggie's incompetence not cause Texas won that recruiting war...No one can remember an Sec champion without elite defensive players...That's not gonna change just cause Texas calls the Sec home now..
@@adryellehastings4675 You're right on point with Hill. And I even have asked the question to gerry is PK possibly on the hot seat if his defense under performs this year in the SEC and for his lack of recruiting. He didn't see anything wrong with what PK was doing and everybody in the comments bashed me for saying that lol. But if Texas would have been in the SEC last year they would have tore a hole through our defense. There's an issue obviously. And that's evident in the recruiting. Not so much on the field because we haven't been paying anybody and even though we haven't been playing anybody we had too many close games where PK could not stop the defense.
@jasonhernandez5008 Sark has been on point with addressing things that need to be.... If we see it I know he does too...They made moves through the Portal that I believe will help them be an upper half defense in the Sec this year..But after that With the way high school recruiting is going on the defensive side..Texas might be in trouble..
Quit trolling
