I wish we had snow and ice here. Too warm for January. Great video.

Well done as expected from your side.
When I saw the A.O. Smith fan motor I remember what that made my knees damaged.
Changed several hundreds on ULT chest freezers earlier years.
Those sleeve bearing fans can not cope with heat for sure and dust is an enemy too.
They just freeze up to quick.
Not a decent reservoir for oil in them so they just runs dry.
Opposite of the earlier cast iron sleeve GE fan motors that cope 20 years duty on sleeve.😬
Big oil chamber with oil soaked cork gave long life still with only a back end sleeve.
Wish you the best for 2023

Been bit by a switch not wired right many times. I was surprised that clunky motor ran. Always enjoy your videos. Happy new year and be safe brother.

Thanks c_young! That doesn't make you dumb. Actually, I would argue the other way. You saw something, learned something, then moved forever to improve not only yourself but your company and others around you. I'm constantly learning and trying to adapt what I do to make everyone better around me.

You know what’s funny, Reznor doesn’t send new rubber grommets with motor, it’s unbelievable.
I always order the grommets, and new wheel, in situations like this.
My opinion is, just let us by the whole damn inducer motor assembly, not 3 parts.

    • @EverythingHVACR
      @EverythingHVACR  Рік тому

Agreed, I honestly didn't see the grommets on the part list so assumed the new motor would come with them, luckily I was able to use the old ones

@@EverythingHVACR the first time I ever ordered the new motor, was because of a vibration, and the grommet was laying in the cabinet and the motor seized because the wheel was pinned to the housing,
New motor came to shop, no grommets, called suppliers, wasn’t nice one the phone to (Master Group) chewed them out, new grommets shipped the next day.
It’s hilarious that a new compressor comes with them, and they are robust.
I’ve been ordering OEM transformers for ICP furnaces, and they stopped putting spade connectors on them, what is this world coming to.
