I am impressed you were able to keep your kids on the job the whole time! I have 4 and would be lucky to keep them interested for 5 mins. Mad parenting skills!
You don’t love those kids too much at all, do you? As much fun as I had when our kids were growing up, I’m having a blast with the grandkids. That’s the kind of stuff that makes for a happy childhood and they will thank you for it forever.
Brilliant vid Ben, Love seeing the kids involved I used to help dad with his lawn/garden. Sadly I lost dad last July at 94, this helps bring a smile to my face watching the kids and reminds me of happier days in the garden, Thanks Mate.
hey mate another great vid, would you be able to make a episode showing us all the products you have and use and what they're used for, when to apply etc etc. i think alot of us struggle to keep up with the detailed side of things which products to have in hand to always use to maintain our healthy lawn. Im sure it would help us all out. thanks. looking forward for the next vid !
Good seeing the kids sitting in the back of the gator and not inside on ipads!! Good ol farm activities. I used to love riding in the back of my grandfathers truck/ute through the canefarms.
Just browsing through your videos, can we have an update on your brothers house where you did the kentucky bluegrass and hydro seeding? interested to see how thats going!
Love your channel. Made me and my co-worker compete in best grass in the yard :D. You probably already mentioned it, but what sand can you use for top dress?
What to do about front Kikuyu lawn that has large patches of couch. Been trying to get the kik to grow and take over so I can finally have a lawn that is consistent with just 1 grass type but the couch is holding its ground. I've dethatched, scalped, aerated, fertilised, topsoiled (80/20 sandyloam) and been mowing it regularly now that the grass has grown back through the topdress but the kik isn't spreading over the couch like I was expecting it to. No poisons or chemicals that will get rid of couch but let the kik take over? Considering digging out the couch and seeing if that promotes the kik to grow over the dirt patches that will be left.
Awesome your kids helping and learning. Do you mind telling me what type and name of sand your using? It’s not fine washed sand or is it course or river washed sand?
Wholesome content mate. Putting gloves on kids is super frustrating! Haha can you see the shape of the glove? Make your hand the shape of the glove? Not that hand, this hand..
Love the vids! Is it better to top dress with 80/20 into the lawn first or better to level out your lawn with sand first and top dress with 80/20 later on down the track. My lawn is pretty uneven.
G'day Ben, It's great you involving your kids it looks like they had a ball with Dad. Q. I'm about to top dress my patch of lawn what type of sand should I be asking for at the nursery. You need to have Patrion days at your ranch to help you out and get people involved in lawn care ect who normally wouldn't be able to for various reasons. Anyhoo as usual good video man. ✌🏻 Peace.
Hey pard the weather looks great down under how's the Temps? We are right in the middle of winter here in Oklahoma very cold. I've got my gardening soil ready it's about onion planting time.
Striperman, good early Wednesday morning mate , another glorious blue sky bird chirping day here . Late Saturday night we got 150 mm of rain in a heavy 3 hour downpour. Needed it after a week of high 30’s temps. How is it your way?
@@trevormuggeridge4560 Yo what up Trevor. Sunny and a high of 4 degrees Celsius today. Birds were chirping with sweaters on lol. Hope all is well mate this Thursday morning by you.
starting to see the same content over and over again now i skip through every video. when are you goin to start making tee boxes or mowing a fairway into the paddock or start digging the green or something different? i love watchin your videos but if i have to watch the same mowing videos or another sand video on that front lawn im going to start tuning out.
@@LawnTips on the contrary, the more vids on the progress reno repair and maintenance on that front kik lawn, the better I say! We Moved into a place with almost exactly the same state of a front kik lawn so I'm able to use all your vids on your own as a guide for my own haha. Keep up the good work, . Just bought the ryobi scarifier, lot of dead layer in the kik but weve had rain for the last week and upcoming week too so kinda putting a damper on being able to get started.
Love seeing the kids getting involved. Reminds me of my brothers and me helping my dad out. So many funny memories from that
❤️

You hafe nice Kids 😁
Great vid mate. Super cute kids. Happy for you with all you’re doing and all that’s coming together! Cheers!

You probably already mentioned it, but what sand can you use for top dress?
Does sand have to be a particular type or can I just get washed sand from the landscape supply yard?
Great video!
The kids are great helpers. Does mum do any gardening too?
I may have pulled a few weeds out once or twice 😉
Welcome to another Lawn Tip vid.
Love your work mate. Just wondering your thoughts on a bush ranger reel mower. Just bought a 16” one.

Great vid mate, we’re going to be doing some mid season top dressing soon too
man kids are growing fast
100%!
Mate as always, a great vid!

Should I be topdressing my TifTuf with soil or sand?

Legend! cant wait to do this with my kids

You can level and topdress with both if you can!
Loving the early uploads 😎🤙🏻

Fine brown sand, washed is best if possible.
Any chance got getting a cricket pitch up in your yard ?
Hey pard the weather looks great down under how's the Temps? We are right in the middle of winter here in Oklahoma very cold. I've got my gardening soil ready it's about onion planting time.
Do you have weed killers to remove a large area of paspalum or blanket grass?
That’s why I’m a big girl😂love ya work😘
😘
She says this many times a day (or something similar) 😂 cheeky girl
My good man, please take care of that ragwort asap! Cheers for the content
I can see a rye over seed coming up in a few months
nothing like a man with his kids n dog doing some lawn work
Careful around the dog when using the gator. My grandma backed the car over her dog a long time ago.
You need a free sponsored garden mulcher bro!
Haha 😂
Will topdressing at this point of the season create a new place for weeds to grow? Should pre-emergent be applied to the freshly leveled spots?
Depends on the topdress you use.
The sand I have doesn’t have any weed seeds in it. If yours did, might be worth putting some pre-em down
@@LawnTips Makes sense. What about weed seeds that land in the sand after it is applied?
Ben, you didn't put the site link in the description MATE hahaahah do you ship to USA? xD
Haha thanks for the pickup!
I will be shipping overseas with merch soon but that’s it for now sorry mate!
Is that a starlink in the background??
Is the dog now called ‘The Glove Thief’ or ‘The Tripping Hazard?
Still waiting for a video where you find a snake or spider somewhere on your new land. Do you ever come across anything interesting?
I’ve come across a brown snake one. Lots of spiders!
All I want to know how much free stuff Ben gets…like has he forked out 000s for all the John Deer and Toro Gear or has he been gifted it.
I’ve been given the JD stuff as a loan to use on the property which is super nice of Hutcheon and Pearce.
Toro stuff was gifted as well
@@LawnTips wow, nice.

How many snake bites did the kids get when weeding the garden?
0 and let’s keep it that way 😉
How annoying is kikuyu near garden beds. Drives me nuts.

man four kids, stay off of the missus mate lmao
Sand brings nothing to your lawn. Better to top dress with compost.
