Planning to drive the car home 900 miles to Tennessee, Derek, Tony Angelo, and the Stay Tuned crew continue the thrash to get this thing back in the streets and back on track! I remember that car! I delivered for Stauffers Auto Parts in the 80s and Wayne Carl Garage was on my route. That Fairlane was sitting in the back corner. Teddy was always trying to sell me that car for $2000. It had a 427 and 4 speed with second gear blown. Wayne and Teddy were great guys. I knew he was giving me a good deal but that was a lot of money back then making $4.25 an hour. Always wondered what happened to it. Great to see it out and driving. Great job fellas!
We need more of these collaborations. I'd love to see you, Derek and Finnigan do a build then race it. Maybe have a build off with another team as well

Zach you will be missed. For your silly grin, and your awesome welding skills. Great thrash. As someone who likes restoration. Seeing a car that was not working for that many decades working again is simply awesome. The Universe is happier because that machine is working.

Great chemistry. And this really took me back. I was a regular at Maple Grove 1977-81, back when Mike Lewis and Lex Dudas were running the track. Maybe Derek's Fairlane was running there then.

Felt like you guys Monday neighbor pratically gave me a algea covered 1976 F100 custom. Hubs locked up had to drag it up on my trailer, hubs welded to new pads after 15yrs of sitting, after washing it realized what a perfectly straight beautiful truck i had pass by a million times on my way home.

Watching your show affirms the decision I made 40 years ago to move to California. I grew up in NYC, and I remember living in the weather you suffer through well. I sure don't miss it at all.

I worked at a steel plant, that among other things, made cabinets and transformer tanks for GE and Siemens.
We had like 40 people welding at any given time.
I have definitely looked into the light more times than I would have liked to.
It's not something that I would recommend.

@@DirtyDiezel winsor 351 is actually the canadian version of the American cleveland 351.cleveland engines are the under dog though every one including me favor the winsor over it though

@MotoMeat they did make a 302 cleveland in Australia and called them a 4.9
