Oh! I forgot to mention that I love your down to earth style. In this video you make a couple of mistakes. Instead of editing that out, you keep it real and show us that you too are human! Bless you for that. It made me chuckle and really appreciate you more! Rick Beato is the same. And it’s why I will always come back here! Thank you for being YOU! Take care Rob!
He does NOT rush the steps! Nice ! Well ✅ done! Well explained! When someone NAMES EACH keynote or chords by LETTERS 🔤🔠🔠🔠 when playing this is helpful!! Keynotes light up! Good! Counting is important too! 🍏
It’s been a dream to be able to play this on piano I think with your video might be possible to do just that. I’m more of a guitarist but got into keyboard during the pandemic and I just got a upright piano and it’s my goal to learn this Thank you for your time
'Bout time i found a tutorial that emphasises the actual instrumentation with the intro/verse differences in bass line. Aside from the video its nice that you get it right when doing tutorials for originality keep up the good work bud. Fyi i dont read music i play by ear maybe do some reading music videos in the near future id watch 'em
Thanks Anthony! I am an ear guy too. So much easier for me to hear and play than to stumble through trying to read music. I probably need to get better at that.
Hi Rob! I just finished watching your Toto tutorials, and wouldn’t ya know it! You are teaching a song from another band favourite of mine! We may have similar styles I think. Lol. I left a comment after the bass key tutorial for “Africa” and forgot to request a song, or two…😬 Because I seem to learn so well from your amazing breakdowns with the song sections, I’d love for you to do a couple of Toto’s ballads, “Hold You Back”, as well as, “I’ll Be Over You”. Heck, if you’re up for it, I’d love for you to teach the entire set list from Toto’s 35th Anniversary concert in Poland. I watch this concert every week, if not twice a week or more. I’ve seen a lot of concerts in my day, but none as good as this one. The music and vocals were tight. They hired 2 of the best backup singers (I gotta backup singer crush on Amy Keys, lol). And the set list was, in my opinion, perfect! And I love that the camera angles were showing some of what David Paich and Steve Porcaro were playing. So I’ve been trying to learn that way. I’m a “play by ear” musician. Always have been. I’ve got a great ear. Just need some help with Toto on the ivories (or should I say, composite plastic? Lol. I’m preparing in case Dave ever calls and needs a sub-in for an upcoming Toto gig! Bahahaha! Hey. A man can dream right? 😂 Take care Rob! And thanks again for your selfless contribution to our passion! You’re a gift to us all!
Hi Gord. Just released an "I won't hold you back" tutorial for ya! I wanted you to be the first to know! Thanks for the suggestion! ua-cam.com/video/oH-VqnQgWmM/v-deo.html
Hahaha! I’m guessing Rob has a brother named, Roland? 😂😂. I have a Roland FP-30. I just love the sound of their pianos. It’s Sounds warmer to me than Yamaha, etc. I normally don’t get envious, but I had to go get a bucket to catch all my drool from listening to and seeing your beautiful Roland keyboard. I’m also learning GarageBand and recording tracks and synth effects, but it appears your Roland has a lot of that built-in. Ok. New addition to my bucket list! Lol Take care Roland! Darn. I mean, Rob! 🥴

Great video - what's the name of the electric piano sound? I have an RD88
I used SA E.Piano3 on RD-2000
Can you do a tutorial on Hello It’s Me by Todd Rungren?
Love your style! Especially talking about the voicing/ patches.
I'll check it out!
Exactly what I did
Are the verses the same as the intro just not arpeggiated? It sounds like Jonathan Cain is using an organ/strings setting for that.
Nice keyboard... 👍🏻 Why does
it have your brother name on it 😜😂🤷🏼♂️
Haha!
