You can buy every sheet metal part for these cars and assemble a car from all new stuff. I like the way you approach your builds Dan, too many people never get their cars on the road because they are too obsessed with getting everything perfect. Make it drive, have some fun.
I pretty much wrote the same thing. People with piles of money can get a whole brand new tri five built the only original part on the car in the front door support where the body tag goes. I seen a show where they built a convertible with Every thing new. In San Francisco there is a shop that reproduce 1931-34 Ford's from brand new body parts they look original but modern brakes and power steering for everyday driving. A lot of celebrities bought one from George Lukus, B.B. King, Clint Eastwood and many other's. They have a long line wait list because they only build 6 car's a year. I've been in most of the mechanics/body shops in Northen California. I had to get signature from all the shops to try and keep the welding program's open in the community collages. They end up shutting them all down in California community colleges three year's later.
The problem in Ireland, the inspections for anything newer than 1984 is SUPER strict! If the car isn't in perfect shape, it will fail. BUT there's no inspections for 1950s beauty.. downside to that, Ireland was so poor up into the early 90s, there weren't too many cars even on the road! it's genuinely surprising to see cars older than 2005 driving about. let alone anything that's big old American muscle from the 50s to 1990s. AND if you see one, they're huge money and that's IF they are for sale.
That was me. I’ve owned my g body Malibu since 06 and barely used it. My 5 year old busted my chops to get it on the road. Put a few 1000 miles on it in the past year now, and the project is finally getting going.
I've always had more time than money. I like to repurpose things, that would be considered useless, I hate waste! What you do looks fine and also gives you a chance to be creative. Good job, Dan!

What kills me about old cars is the fact that in most cases it will cost more to restore them then they will be worth. I personally am a purest. I prefer cars factory, but some cars will never be anything unless they are street rodded, resto mod or if someone just plain loves it. So I say, do what you want. Make it your own. Save it. I do appreciate the work it takes to do any of it. Great video.
I am a purist as well. If I see one in parking lot and it presents as original, great! Disc brakes no problem. If the interior also appears original, and the owner comes and has time to talk about it, terrific! I know some do extreme stuff to classic cars, that is their interest, not mine. It IS their money!
You guys are just nice people. There is a serious shortage of those in this world. I’m glad I subscribed to your channel. Cheers from Western Canada! Now, aside from the signs you mentioned, wouldn’t the VIN cause problems on registration? Or, is mid fifties too old for them to know? I’m curious as the owner of a ‘57 Plymouth project...
I know I have asked you this question before about the titles in Canada. Where I live the the title states 2 door or 4 door. So unless they somehow change the title this may be another way to see if it was a 4 door in it's previous life.
Are there many fake 2-doors? I had a 71 Malibu 4-door. I enjoyed the heck out of it, and because it was a Chevelle it kept its value. There was a dude that produced fiberglass tri5 chevs, it was featured on the PowerBlock.
It's value, next to what? A 4 door chevelle is no more desirable on the classic car market than a 4 door torino is. An original 4 door will never command the price of any 2 door muscle, be it original, restomod, touring etc.

I couldn’t get past the BIG surprise at the beginning. I never did see the rest of the video😂😂😂. Cheers Stuart 🇦🇺
Damn Danny. To start the video with a shot of what you grew yourself was funny.
Nice job DD
great way to start the video XD. great info mate
Dan is my spirit animal 😅
Wow!!!!! What an intro. 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤣🤣
woo hoo! 9th! hahaha! Good video, Brother. Great explanation of the work you've done and what it takes to do this type of job.
Just found your channel I really like the content
Absolutely love your videos so cool! Ever thought about doing something different like a 57 to 59 Plymouth or Dodge the big fin cars that would be so cool, cheers from Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
I really enjoy the show .gives me the in site to do my own car having a hard time finding a 57 at a good price . Would like to see more details on ripping out and installing floor do you have a step by step video disc You can sell me?
You're an Artist!
Luck would have it, UT recommends, while drunk no less, and I'm amazed!
First thought it bullshit, cars looked 2dr to me, and I'm a car guy, even owned one, before the DUI's, long story. I digress
Good job, love those old cars, personalized, don't get any better than that!
Cheers!
