This is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted live mode enabled so the mirror wouldn't shake everything around when it flips up, but at the same time get the long exposure. THANK YOU!
np Vivi
Straight to the point, perfect.
This tutorial is so simple and really helpful. Been trying to do this for the longest. Great video!
The Rail Shooter same hahaha
I've been trying to figure this out for a while but this just summed it up so simply. Thank!

Thank you. I have a d7500 and I couldn’t figure this out. Thank you so much.❤️

Great tutorial, should really help my nighttime photography
So helpful! Thanks!
I loved how it was Nikon specific. Was at malibu beach last night. Could not get it. My friend has canon and had awesome photos. I will try again hopefully at the desert. The beach had too much wind and blew my tripod around.
Easy. Thanks!
Thank you this helped me so much
Thank you!very useful!

What about if you want to apply this to daytime, what ISO should we use then? I ask because it look like my D3200 don't give a damn what ISO i set it to.... it will always give me a more or less white picture :(
thank you
i'm super late to the party, but thank you!!!
thanks for the tip bro I've been wanting to create a long exposure shot on my new Nikon D3500 camera.
Have fun
It will look like crap compared to just using Night Landscape.
Great tutorial! Simple easy and detailed. Thank you lad 🤙🏽

Can you alse teach how to get good pics while shooting in dim light like a photoshoot. Because when i shoot its gets grainy and blurry.
Is this possible with the Nikon B500?
Cheers for that mate, I got a D5600 and this is a big part of how I'd like to capture. Just wondering for night time, which f-stop should I select for traffic. f8 - f11?
No idea since it only tells you how to adjust the shutter speed and not turn off auto ISO or adjust EV or your f-stop.
Why don't you try a shot on each f points.
Hey man! im looking into a D5300, does this apply do that too? if thats the case why do the camera specifications say "max shutter 1/4000" ? i think im probably confusing something and missing out somewhere, please do help!

Works in manual mode on the D7100, FWIW.
Do you have a tutorial for long exposure for MORE than 30 seconds on the Nikon D5600? In other words, bulb mode?
ua-cam.com/video/RnLi7AghS9M/v-deo.html
Simple!
What about the bulb and time mode?
I have a D5000 and cannot do Bulb mode via USB. Max is 30 seconds unless I do a manual shutter (which I have to physically hold for the desired time). Using Backyard Nikon, anyone know which D5XXX or D7XXX models can do long bulb over USB?
You can use a camera shutter switch like this one.
Nikon 25395 MC-DC2 Remote Release Cord
It even has a button slider lock to keep it pressed down until you unslide it.
I bought new camera Nikon D3500. It has full day battery power when photo shoot. Images are perfect sharp and clear.

I'm new to these cameras. How do u know if ur focused in the dark if can't see
ua-cam.com/video/wLK96YiXXoc/v-deo.html
Does this work for video? so i get those "drunk" stlye image?
no - you're better off recording in 1/50 and doing some SFX in post
👍
Don't forget bulb and time modes.
Is this applicable to D3500?
Yes
Hi, I need help, I have Nikon D3400 and I want to make light painting and the camera says that the object is too dark and I can’t take the picture!what can I do?
Feel free to take a look at my more in-depth resource here bit.ly/33eW17x
You're probably in automatic mode
@@lamelomane1656 NOPE! That BS happens in shutter priority mode. I fought it for hours yesterday after watching this!
toriless how did u fix it ?
@@BluekillerGaming I think I just need a better lens. It has been cloudy so I will have to wait to do more testing.
My camera says that it is to dark and what let me soot

how about nikon d3100?
Same
Same as 3200, 3300 3400 3500
My pictures always lack enough contrast outdoors using this idiotic mode due the the damn auto ISO going too high, Night Landscape mode makes all other modes look like crap in comparison.
Soo i dont know what i did but my lens wont focus now.. i wanted to try to photograph the sky this weekend and now i have no clue what ive done to my camera D:
Edit: I am insanely dumb.. i fixed it..

yes
Yep, 5000 and 7000 series too.
My whole life is a lie I thought the s was for sports mode 🤦🏾😂
maybe if Nikon made cars 😂
@@BVCCo7 no no like I thought it meant sports mode for like action shots 😂
@@BVCCo7 also how do you get the correct focus for star night shots when you can’t visually see the correct focus
A lot of repetition
