Now that must be quite the de-icing bill! 🙂 While sitting in an A230 waiting to leave YYZ, an A380 was at the gate about to leave. Looks even more massive next to the terminal.
It’s a huge bird. And yeah the bill was big. They spent about 20-25 min in the bay altogether getting both the anti-ice and the de-ice fluid. There’s been sometimes where I’ve seen them spray and then they had to go back and spray again since by the time they got to the runway the snow became so heavy that they couldn’t depart safely.
Well done Ernest. Hard to believe that Air India 319 is headed for scrap. It looked like it could fly another 20 years but the wear and tear in the guts and the availability of parts tells a different tale eh?...
Thanks Ken! Yeah, I worked that flight in the morning believe it or not, looks pretty bad on the inside so the airline already made the call to scrap these ones.
Ernest great video of aircraft taking off and landing at Pearson. Your amazing even in the snow recording footage for your subscribers. That was some deicing on the A380 on the leading wing edges. Been seeing smaller planes from Air India coming to Pearson recently for some reason, any idea what is going on? Ernest have a great week and catch you on the next flight.
Correct. Type I deice fluid cleans the airplane, and in wx conditions like this Type IV is applied which has the consistency of jelly and slides off the control surfaces at speed.
Correct. The Boeing 737 was a ferry flight to Victorville for maintenance (it later flew back to India through the same way it came) and the Airbus A319 was one of two that ferried through on their way to Marana to be scrapped.
There are direct flights from India, Pakistan, always 777 -xxx. I guess we will very soon see the new A350-1000 of Air India in YYZ as they get deliveries! EDIT: This answer is for original poster. Thanks Ernest for clarifying 737 and A319
I have a request, a plane named "Biman Bangladesh Airlines" flight: BG305. Is going to Toronto from Istanbul. Please take a video of this plane. My cousin is going to Toronto by this plane.

Thanks! It’s coated with Type IV de-icing fluid before departure in the heavy snowstorm.

What are the indian planes doing in canada?
They literally flew there from India!?
Correct. The Boeing 737 was a ferry flight to Victorville for maintenance (it later flew back to India through the same way it came) and the Airbus A319 was one of two that ferried through on their way to Marana to be scrapped.

Air India express to canada? How come?
Was on a tech stop to Victorville for maintenance.
19:38 Air India never wash their airplanes? Looks dirty. I wonder if it is also dirty inside the cabin.
Where is that takeoff location ? Is it Danville Park ? Nice video
Time stamp the video on what location you’re talking about and I’ll do my best to help :)

@@ErnestGutschikAviation What spots do you recommend in general for plane spotting at YYZ? The only spot I know is on airport road for 23.
What the air India express LCC is doing in Toronto. Is it delivery flight??
Tech stop on the way to Victorville for maintenance.
Why the wings of the A380 green
De-icing, there is a dye in it so they can make sure it's where its needed
Actually it is anti icing fluid 😂! Anti icing, Type IV is green and deicing, Type I is orange.
Yup, in this scene they got both Type 1 and IV, which are the only two that are offered at Toronto Pearson.
Where is this place exactly, I've been many times at YYZ airport please Do mention the road thank you
