TORONTO PEARSON PLANE SPOTTING! Heavy Traffic at YYZ [4K]
Вставка
- Опубліковано 29 лип 2024
- Back in February, myself and some good friends paid a visit to Toronto for a couple days of plane spotting.
It was a bit chilly but the sky was clear and we had some fantastic traffic. Here's 30 minutes of spotting on one day, with some of the best airliner and cargo traffic that Toronto has to offer!

The 777 is huge, the 380 is enormous, but the Queen is the Queen, hands down!
The queen is the best plane and will always be
I liked seeing the AC 777-200LR !
PIA was very smooth.
Excellent 👍👍
So glad you captured PIA! That is my home country's airline!
Just the kind of plane spotting videos I love! Thank you and looking for more just like this!
Alex - thanks for all the effort you put into these videos. I know I'm not alone in liking everything you post.
Its been a minute since we've seen Pearson this busy before you can tell we are slowly going back to normal which is great and nice catches Alex!
The Glencore/Raglan jet: Raglan a well-known high grade nickel mine in Northern Quebec. Glencore is Swiss, Raglan was developed by Falconbridge, a more familiar name, until it was taken over by Glencore (like Inco was taken over by Vale/Brazil).
Looking down the barrels of those engines at full throttle with the sun behind them - great captures!
Great video this is just what i was looking for :)
Great work, location & lighting with runways being used aligned nicely. The fumes seeped out of that footage. A very long day for you. Thank you.
Fantastic variety. Well done!
Great videos Alex!
Great video, do you ever do Airport walk through videos? I’ll be visiting YYZ and YUL for the first time soon. I’d love to see what all facilities there are in the international l terminals
Beautiful video😍😍 THE BEST😊
Great video Alex, loved it.
Great video watching from Toronto Canada.
What a takeoff to end the video. Very nice.
Incredible footage!
YES
How did you get to that infield location? Is it open to the public? As a life long Toronto resident I used to love to plane spot around Pearson but never knew there was an infield plane spotter location .
My favorite spots were the Wendy's on Airport Road just off of 23R . I once saw Air Force One landing from that location (with Obama). I was literally directly underneath AF1 as it was about 100 feet above my head about to land on what was then 24R (now 23R).
I also loved to plane spot in the Aviation World parking lot on Carlingview just off of what is now 24R but back then was 24L (funny how that works). I hope you got to visit Aviation World when you were in Toronto because it is probably the greatest Aviation enthusiast store in Canada if not the world (huge selection of high quality die-cast models).
As a kid growing up in the '70's my family would love to plane spot at the McDonnell-Douglas Canada parking lot (they made wings for the DC-9, DC8, and DC-10) on Airport road. It was snug right next to the taxiway to what was then 24R (now 23R) and the wings of the aircraft would almost be over your head as they positioned for takeoff. You could feel the jet blast in your face and that sweet fragrant smell of Kerosene. I still can remember seeing British Airways VC-10's, Cubana IL-62 and Freddy Lakers DC-10's taking off from that vantage point. The thunderous noise those jets made on takeoff is sadly something you will never hear again. Sadly the McDonnell-Douglas plant and parking lot are long gone.
Another great location (maybe the greatest) that is long gone was the roof of the original terminal one. You could drive your car up there! From that vantage point you had a great view of all the ramp-action! The air up there on the roof was filled with the fragrant smell of Kerosene.
By far the greatest aircraft that I got to see take off from Toronto was the SR-71 in the '70's when it was up here for the air show. It was like a space launch. The pilots were dressed in pressure suits just like astronauts wear! I remember the sound of the loud diesel powered air-start system that powered up the jet engines. Once powered up the SR-71 taxied for take-off position where ground crew put chocks under the wheels after which the pilots added thrust to the engines to ensure everything was OK. The wheel chocks were then removed and the SR-71 started it's THUNDEROUS take-off run with FULL AFTER BURNER! What was weird is once it got initially airborne the SR-71 pilots pushed the nose down and it leveled off for about ten seconds to gain speed before pulling the nose up and disappearing into the horizon (and a rendezvous with a KC-135 tanker) ! Talk about SPECTACULAR!
There's a roadway at the 06L/R runway where the departures were shot from. No doubt he was on a ladder though. For the early morning arrivals at 05...very likely near the infield terminal past the gates.
I too remember all those days it was great!!Also a restaurant on derry road right over the runway! Peppis we as a family would get some food sit at the picnic tables and watch the planes! The Good old days!!
Great video!!!
Awesome catches Alex 👍
You now I love planes and I love your videos
Hey buddy, i love your clips, subbed 😍
Cool video Alex 🤠
Those FedEx planes are beautiful
Nice video! Keep up! Besides, I live in Toronto too!
excellent video , can i ask what equipment you use for filming ?
Cool!
Very nice.
Mind if i ask where the first portion of the video was shot and which runway the spot is for. Looks like a great spot
lets goooo
Great footage
Nicely done mate 👍
All landings aside but Pia’s landing was a masterpiece
How did u get the radio / atc sound
Great video!
Have you been to Pearson in the last month or so? I just flew in and out and my goodness is it a mess. 3 hours in security, bags all over the baggage claim area in big piles, 2 hours in customs and delayed over an hour both ways. The amount of flights delayed is insane aswell.
Really? I hope things have improved. i am flying domestic next week, may that is better ?
@@nordicwolf8808 Domestic is probably a bit better but still lots of delays.
What would you say are the best days of the week and times to catch a lot of arrivals?
Can you please make a yul plane spotting because a lot of big aircraft are flying in now
Does anyone know what they're constructing in the background at the 02:37 - 02:40 mark?
It’s nice to see Toronto busy again but I know Pearson has been overwhelmed for the past few months with the surge of passenger loads sky rocketing. With Pearson having new airlines coming this year, not sure where they will put these newbies since there never a gate available lol
Nice
Couple of questions
Can you name the place you were at
2 is there an hour in the evening where the are more heavys?
nice video matee
Hi, nice video and an amazing captured shot. Now, with your permission and approval, can I download this video so I can make a reaction on video on it if you don't mind
Om swastiastu suksma.
Which runway?
What spot are you sitting at sir?
hello Alex thank you for your videos. I would like to start as a plane spotter could you tell me what equipment you have and how much it could cost approximately. if you have already made a video on the question just tell me the reference please thank you in advance and have a nice day.
What spotting location is this?
How did you get on airside? You work there?
I like how pia came right after air India
May I ask where you shot the video?
Amazing! You should do one at YWG. Winnipeg
Who would want to voluntarily have to go to Winnipeg?
@@mittelfruh he’s been there before
I have family there and it’s a cool place
@@sfgfortnite5085 Being from Ottawa, I was only partly kidding. Friends of mine who live here now, were glad to get outta the Peg ;-)
Fed x the best take-off
💙
Beautiful video, what was your location
PIA ❤️❤️
Sweet video, where are you spotting from?
raglan is so loud i always know it's them landing or taking off in YUL, if not it's air inuit
Drive down the 427 from the 409. Look right when you see the jets. There is a Russian Antovov cargo plane that isn't allowed to depart.
An124 will be landing in Toronto in 40 min !!
AIR INDIA & PIA comes Together, Both Airlines Boeing 777 landed one after one...
All are excellent shots, hard to choose one. Great camera work overall, my fav departures are Atlas Air 747 was amazing followed by PIA 777, China Easter 777. Would love to see Emirates A380 in better light.
Was passing by Pearson and saw a few plane spotters, was wondering if you are there.
Thank you for your hard work. 👍🙂.
the emirates plane was EK241, which departs at 4:30 am. I was on that flight recently so I know
Nice air india
It will be so sad when the MD-11s disappear from our skies, just in terms of the diversity of plane types and the visual impact of trijets
B737-200 cool
ua-cam.com/video/TdaH7MXFj4U/v-deo.html That plane luckily avoided a bird strike!
Whoops! Something didn't work with that link. The near bird strike occurs at 7:19.
I'm happy you finally caught PIA 🇵🇰🇵🇰🇵🇰
do a a380 video
What, no UNITED ?
A couple months old. We haven't had snow in Toronto since mid march
I gonna use the footage to make a small edit on tik tok if that is fine. I dont plan on making profit
🥰🥰🥰🥰😘😘😘 pia
at 24:35 in the video i can see my car parked at the fence
That is an extremely rare car dude...very few people bought the Acura RLX!
United A beats em all
