Dan Povenmire chose the colour teal for Perry just because “it looked cool”. However, it was later discovered in a 2020 study that platypuses glow green under ultraviolet light, sort of like Perry himself.

Australia: where everything chooses violence
Aussie here. Jokes aside, I live in a spot notorious for spiders and snakes, and they really dont though. We’ve had the deadliest species of spider in Australia in my backyard for over a decade and not a single close call has happened. And the only snake I’ve seen outside of the zoo was a totally harmless python that was just trying to cross the road.
@@regulargoat7259 And that is why I am moving to australia when I get enough money and stuff, new zealand has no dangerous animals. except for the white tail spider, and the kea if you're in the wrong place at the wrong time. Those buggars will steal your car door handles.

Actually, they don’t necessarily see underwater, they use their beak to do something similar to echolocation.
As an Aussie, I would sometimes see platypus in the creek, but the MOST AMAZING thing I saw one of them do, which I NEVER knew about was transporting a little bundle of sticks and twigs using its TAIL 🙂. It’s tail was curled under to hold the bundle of twigs that it was transporting from the creek, up the bank to its burrow. ❤
