I did our similar pool deck with lattice and looked great. Had a door on each side large enough for large bins to store pool toys, pool chemicals, and equipment. Also folding chairs and other items. Sprayed for insects about every 2-3 weeks during warm months and about every 6 weeks during cooler-cold months. Any covering will be nice just remember your storage possibilities, we had locks on our doors to keep people honest. 😎
Great info Tobin. I like the idea you were talking about. It's different. Most people do the lattice, so if it's not alot more I'd do the wood. Hope y'all have a great weekend.
Looks to me like you did a good job. Underpinning the deck is a good choice I think. I'm sure you will figure out a way to do it that will look good. Take care and stay safe out there. GOD BLESS Y'ALL.
I'd get an L-shape couch (made for outside) for that corner, and a couple matching chairs for other side. They usually have cushions that you can put away in winter. Looks really good.
I have a full pool deck around our above ground pool. Huge and Privacy, 3 levels of step…..all designed by us. We have had 3 pools with NO deck. 2003 built a deck in our last purchased home. Our Dream Deck With bar table. Our summer vacation destination. Named it KO KO MO. Could be in a better home and garden magazine. Staining it every year and takes forever.
Looking at doing a 12 x 12 deck this spring. Just had a pool installed. I def agree with another place for adults when the wildlings are swimming. I think I’ll do a 12 or 14 square patio under the stringers to the pool deck so that I can have the treager and solo stove to sit on. I like the cat walk connecting the back deck. Good stuff and maybe look at 1x8 treated underneath. That’s a nice look or! Be open minded if your ballin on a budget look into pallet wood walls. I bet that would be awesome looking and it would be weather proof.
Great video Tobin. Our pool is being installed this Monday I plan on building the deck this fall after swimming is over do you think that’s a good idea
Great Video! I was thinking lattice would look nice to keep the chickens out from under the deck with doors and locks. the holes in the lattice would give nice airflow. With what you were talking about would it be like the railings of the small deck except horizontal? That would look nice also. Thank you for sharing. God's blessings to you and your family. 🙏🏼🕊✝💖🏊🏼♀👙🥽🥩
No, we can barely hear it. For some reason when we film it sounds 3 times louder than it is. For the most part, unless you are right beside it you can't hear it.
Hello …so I just bought one of these Coleman Steel pools same size you got ! So do I need slabs of concrete under the poles ? I’m a nervous wreck about it not getting set up correctly 😬 I’ve been watching your videos about the pool ! I know making sure it’s level is most important so wish me luck !
We do not have the blocks under the legs. Once we filled the pool, we added the rock border. It helps absorb the water, and keep the dirt from eroding around the legs causing them to shift. If you do decide to add the blocks, make sure they don't rub against the liner.
Very nice alot of fun being together with the kids, like the walkway too thanks for the video
Glad you enjoyed it

Lattice work so you can see under. And put screen behind it. Are even fence boards. We doing fence boards for my new skirting from the storm.
Lattice with metal screen staple to it works great. No critters at all get under there. God bless ❤ 5M
The Pool 🏊♀️ looks Beautiful ❤❤🏊♂️🏊♂️
Thank you. ❤❤
Great job Tobin

My mom used Lattice it's simple to use and can be stained or painted

That is what I would do. Maybe by then lumber prices will have gone down even more.

You forgot an ice cooler for the drinks…👍
Yes!! We need to add one.
Would you move your pump to the other side? Is it loud when you’re on your deck trying to talk/lay out?
No, we can barely hear it. For some reason when we film it sounds 3 times louder than it is. For the most part, unless you are right beside it you can't hear it.
I found it! Are the posts cemented in?
Yes they are
Did you cement the posts in just concrete footing with dirt backfill ?
They are approximately 2.5 ft deep with 100% concrete.

@@OurTopPinLife hey thank you for the quick reply ! How many bags of rock did you use by chance if know ? So I really don’t need the slabs than ?
Fence pickets to close off the underside.
Paneling for under deck
He has that purse😂😂😂
