JP Morgan congratulations on the purchase. I also think it would be awesome with ac pulse too hopefully it is just software, it should be as the unit has a pulser module for dc already. Even without at this moment in time how it is with 400hz and the fact that you can vary amps on the +/- and being able to set the balance independently of that means you can get the pool as tight/deep or shallow/wide as you wish with various levels of cleaning and heat input. even with just the 400hz on it’s own it has bags of control. This thing is so versatile on ac I feel spoilt. I remember back in the day just being happy with 60hz and balance no pulse! We used to get the ramp in and out setup nice put the machine on 2T and press the button on the torch on, off, on, off, on, off to manually pulse it!
Is there a way of getting ac to come up? As i have a rebel emp 205ic ac/dc which looks the same as yours. But on my home menu it just has lift tig feature?

I don't know how solidly they are committed to it, but it was not second hand information it was a one on one conversation between the two of us.
Eric Winhold about 6mins15 in! You can turn the high frequency start on and off on dc so you can scratch start or hf start. For ac you have to use hf start or your contaminate the material
Can you stick weld with high frequency activated? I'd like to see how well it stick welds 6010. Can you adjust frequency during A/C stick welding, like the AlphaTIG 200X?
Why would you want high freq for stick? It would accomplish nothing. Why the Alpha TIG offers it is bewildering. It handles 6010 very well. It’s a main point of these Rebel machines. Everything else is easy.
Yep it's still running like a champ, the fans are a bit noisy on it but other than that it's been a great welder, mine was the first one delivered to a customer in the USA and it's never missed a beat. I did have an issue trying to run it on 110v but it turned out it was a bad outlet causing the problem, it was a bad connection and the mains voltage was dropping too low, the machine gave an error then would reboot. Plugged it into a different outlet and it was fine. On 220-240v supply it's a beast even maxed out I havnt hit it's duty cycle, those fans are doing their job lol

is it a European machine or a us model? the European model uses a eurospec mig torch connector and the us model uses a tweco mig torch connector the included model is the Tweco Fusion 180 but i believe the velocity range also fit the us machines.

Weld Chip did it get the ac update ?
I’m having issues with MIG on my Esab Rebel 205. Clean nozzle . Has on. Cfh 25. Wire feeds when trigger is pressed. Lots of porosity…

what about 7010 other electrodes, can seem to get an answer from esab quickly and my dist vendor just reads what off the sale brochure

No such thing as flux core MiG, there is dual shield. Is that what you mean? But it’s not under flux core, it’s just MiG.
