Hey Tim, I came across your videos on UA-cam. Don't know if you read the comments on these videos, but it's great to see how far you have taken this art over the years. This is Chuck Callaway. You probably don't remember me, but you taught me some Pekiti Tirsia Kali for a short time way back in the early 1990's in Las Vegas. We would train in the park off of Hargrove street. You would usually bring your wife and child with you and they would play in the park while we trained. It was me and a paramedic for a while. I forgot his name but eventually he left. You also came over to my house once and we trained in the garage a short time before you moved out of town. Anyway, just wanted to say high. I'm an old guy now, ready to retire. don't train much anymore, but still remember the basic stuff you taught me. Good times. Stay safe my friend.
My husband say Miyomoto Musashi taught every weapon have different way. Sword, knife, dagger, spear, empty hands all must train y employ differently according to each properties. Musashi teach do not use same tactics for different weapons. But Filipinos teach different from Musashi. So I like FMA but husband say Musashi survive many battles y duels with blades y sticks always kill never was killed. So husband trust Musashi teachings. I still like listen to y watch Tim Waid but don't believe hand can be same as blade. Blade severes y stabs. Hands grasp or impact weapon.
