ok but did any one else realize that when the night court gang came back from Hybern Amren was screaming WHERE IS SHE WHERE IS SHE and Rhys said he knew she wasn't talking about Mor like Amren so cares about Ferye and this really touched me and I loved this part also same scene when Mor said "so my High Lady is in enemy grounds" or something. like that I loved that too cuz it's shows that Mor accepts Ferye as her High Lady!!! I just loved how Ferye bonded with everyone in the court

Am I the only one who hates the way Nesta acts towards Feyre? Like I love Nesta as a female charecter, but I hate the fact that shes so nice and protective over Elaine, and so cold towards Feyre, even though Feyre is the one whose been protecting them and feeding them and providing for them since she was like 14(?). And like Elaine pissed me off so much in the first book, but i liked her better in this book.

I liked them together but I hate when authors do that thing of 'these are the only two single people left in the book let's make them a couple'. I would really find it cliche and unrealistic if they end up being mates. Unfortunately for me, I do think they will fall in love. That's just my opinion.

I was so sure that Lucien and Elain were going to end up together because when Fayre put the night on her drawer, she put flowers of Elain's. Like the spring court.
OKAY WAIT. Do you think mates in ToG work like how they work in ACOMAF? Like Rowan said you can't hurt your mate and I don't think that Rysnad and Feyre ever physically hurt each other. What if Dorian had that click where he knew that he and Aelin were mates? Or whoever she's going to end up with? What if she feeds him food casually and it's like a nod to the people who read ACOMAF? Now I'm really intrigued.
+edenthepotato well, I think rhysand did hurt feyre in ACOTAR after feyre defeated that giant worm thingy. Rhysand went to her cell to make her accept the bargain and twisted a fractured bone that was sticking out of her arm.

+edenthepotato you're right. Ultimately his goal was to help feyre. But I think he twisted the bone before she agreed to the bargain, so that the pain will worsen and force her to accept it? I was ok with the first book, like I felt it was a little childish and annoying? I don't really like Feyre as a narrator (no hate!). ACOMAF *blew* my mind. Like it was such an upgrade in terms of writing!
This book painted abusive relationships so very well that as a psych student I can totally appreciate it. Tamlin was a controlling, easily angered crazy guy who was in a constant state of denial- you can see him as a staunch patriarch. Once Tam's behaviour was clear in book 2 I realised that while Rhys offered to teach Feyre to write, Tam offered to write *for* her- he didn't want her independent at all. He's the kind who gets what he wants not out of confidence, like perhaps Rhys, but force.
I fell in love with Rhys even more. He related to Feyre more than Tam ever did. I was so surprised when Tam turned out to be a traitor. Anyway, while Feyre was helpless in the beginning of book 2 I LOVED the ending- Feyre is now a strong, manipulative person and she's going to bring Tam's court and the best part was Lucien knew exactly what happened and ge can't do anything because Feyre is holding her sister over him. That smile she gave him was so evil AHHH. I'm now imagining the Night Court perhaps successful bringing down Spring Court with all that info Feyre is telling them and then Feyre reveals her true loyalty and I'm *laughing* over Tams' expression at that time. SO EXCITED.
Yeah I thought it was interesting how Tamlin offered to write for her while Rhysand taught her to read and write so she can do it herself.

I AGREE SO MUCH. Like in acotar it took me like three weeks to finish it...longest record yet. But when acomaf happened... IT BLEW MY MIND! Like yea it took me weeks because I just cannot easily register that just happened and might break down... its the holidays so no room to breakout... IT JUST LEFT ME BREATHLESS

when i read acomaf in may, i never really understood why feyre got mad at rhysand for not telling her about the mating bond, but now, i know why
its because in her perspective, he made the decision for her, just like tamlin
tamlin decided what she would wear, what she would say, what she would do, and though rhysand had good intentions, intentions and reasons to keep it a secret that i agree with, he decided what would be best for her, kept something from her thats a tremendously affects her to himself because he thought that was best for her. i do agree with that since she had been through so much and that would have been a lot, maybe even too much for her to take, but it was also still her right to know

SAME. I'm going to re-read this in a month or two. I need to just breathe after reading it and convince my entire friends group to read the series so i can scream with them. But, I moved to Wrath and the Dawn, then Six of Crows and hopefully Throne of Glass to cure my post-ACOMAF depression.
I'm trying my very hardest to convince everyone around me to read both books lol but all of those novels you're moving onto are absolutely amazing promise you won't be disappointed (until the third ACOTAR book comes out and we all die)

I thought the same thing, that she was pregnant, but 2 months passed (5 months since Under the Mountain) which would have mean she was showing, but she kept getting skinnier... it was all her PTSD
Feyre has no accent in my mind, but Tamlin definitely has that Chris Hemsworth australian/american accent. Rhysand has an american accent, but like with a lilt...like his accent may be mixed with british for some words.
I feel like Tamlin should be with that psycho dut Ianthe. Feyre said they were a better match in the beginning and I swear...lol. They're both interested in the same things.

Just a little theory, what if in the last book Elain and lucien become the high lord and lady for the spring court. Cause you know Tamlins probably gonna die and Tamlin doesn't have an heir. Also Elain loves gardening and what a better place then the spring court!
I think one of my favorite parts is when Feyre first goes to the night court, and she hits Rhys with her shoe 😂😂
I honestly don't understand how people still ship Feyre with Tamlin. I mean he doesn't listen to her, doesn't care what she wants or needs, ignores her decisions, acts like she's only good for breeding and planning parties and in the throne room even calls to her as if she were a dog. (Side note: remember how magic has to be released or else you go insane? Yeah, well with Feyre being locked up, if Mor didn't come to save her, she would've gone insane).
Where as Rhysand literally spend 5 months not telling Feyre that he's her mate because he didn't want to force himself on her and wanted her to come to him out of free will, after she's ready and healed.
The book spend so much time building their relationship, not only Feyre and Rhysand's but also the rest of the family (Mor, Amren, Cassian and Azriel). It also emphasized how deep a mating bond really runs and how respected and rare it is. Thus with Feyre being not only his mate, but also High Lady, I don't believe any relationship build in this book will be shattered or harmed. Even with her being in the Spring Court. I rather believe that since she was so broken during over half this book, I think the third one will show her kick some major ass.
Nil Bal cuz in the first book tam wasnot such a horrible evil man! he loved her and cared for her and didnot prison her or acted like a dick towards her! thats why! cuz second book does not make any sense! at least to me it doensot! she ruined tams character to make us hate him so that fey enda up with rhys?? like why bother with the first book in the begining where they are soo i love and would sacrefice thier lifea for each other only to ruin that in second by making tam a dickhead so could run to rhys! non of it makea sense to me! if she wanted rhys why not just make it rhys from the beginning!!!! i really loved tam and fey together in first book! really disappointed!
saya haruno She touched on it in the second book. He changed because he was scared to losing Feyre so he tried to keep her locked up. Their relationship was ruined by his behaviour towards her. He became controlling and she wasnt someone who wanted to sit around all day so they kept arguing. It became a very toxic reletionship. But yeah Tam going against his own principles and taking down the wall doesn't make sense. He did help kill Rhys's family though.

I mean it’s not like Tamlin was all that great in the first book anyways, he was such a spineless coward under the mountain. While Rhys was constantly trying to help Feyre stay together, Tamlin did NOTHING. A great example of this is when he had the chance to get her out, but instead just kissed her because he was pissed off at Rhys

i can't stop thinking about how rhysand and warner from the shatter me series are the EXACT SAME character. they both start off evil and crazy and horrible, but then they start to develop feelings for the girl and reveal the really good reasons for doing the terrible things they did. then we find out that they're really great people with a dark past and first guy starts being annoying and mean and keeps trying to convince the girl that the other guy is bad news. i think about this so much

um...except Rhysand has been protecting Feyre quite obviously since book 1 and Tamlin has been abusive quite obviously since book 1...whereas Warner was abusive from book 1 and Adam was good until his paradigm shift happened. So not really. Also Warner *and* Rhysand have had feeling for the main girl since *before* the girl even knows they exist.

I died when I read this book it was just absolutely beautifully written my favorite part was when Rysand tells the story and in the end she gives food to him it was just all the feels in my heart.

And Feyre slowly acknowledging that Rhys is her friend. Then lover. And finally mate. It’s a full relationship that’s taken in such a beautiful way. Because they are the only ones who understand one another. They both don’t think they are enough for each other, when in reality they are the perfect match. It’s just beautiful

I have a theory that Manons mom is actually Amren. I know that in either Queen Of Shadows or Empire Of Storms it says that Manons grandmother killed her but maybe she dumped her in the mountains like she did to Astrin so there is a possibility that she survived. After that I think she made her way to the crochan waste land to find Manons dad somewhere in the they opened a portal to another world and she goes through. She gets transformed into a fae but maintains her thirst for blood. Boom

I was actually imagining Rhys as Matthew Daddario the whole book cause omlllll.Also, I was shipping Feyre w/ Tam so hardcore up until the scene when he locked her up in that house, like right when he did that the ship just died. SPOILERS I stopped shipping Tamlin and Feyre right in the first chapter when she was vomiting in the toilet and he wouldn't even get up to help her. It was just like: WELL, BYE, BYE, TAMLIN. And I was hating him more and more and more and more and more, the further I was reading.
I don't hate Tamlin yet, but he completely changed in this book and I really disliked how he just left Feyre to drown and didn't even lift a finger to help her. But I didn't change my mind about Rhysand till a good half way through the book, and then I began to love the Night Court, Velaris especially. I hope we get to visit the Day, Dawn and Autumn Courts in the next book.

How is nobody talking about the Tithe. I mean that one moment when Feyre asks Amren about it and Amren is just like :" oh no there is no tithe here but the high lord of spring holds one" and you're like wowowowowow what. I mean Tamlin made it sound like every court does it and it's normal in their world but then you find out it actually isn't ?
And i swear if tamlin makes feyre u know, do stuff, I'm gonna punch a wall. Also AZRIEL and MOR......I SHIP IT. And in thought it was amren not armen

Okay so cliffnotes version:
While reading ACOMAF, I noticed a quote in particular that just seemed really familiar and caught my eye.
Pertaining to Rhys and Feyre during the part there they're doing the deed for the first time, on page 535 it says, “…I was his and he was mine, and we were the beginning and middle and end.” Among other things.
Now, in Queen of Shadows - my personal favorite Doraelin quote - at the end when they're facing his father and he brings down the castle, on page 575 it says, “They were the beginning and ending; they were eternity."
All of that, and there was also a part in Crown of Midnight, where Celaena said something about having nowhere to go, and Dorian said that she will always have a place with him, Feyre and Rhys had an extremely similar conversation in ACOMAF, about her thinking she no longer had a home to return to, and him saying that she could stay with him.
It might mean absolutely nothing, but as that one guy that's clung onto Doraelin since book one, and has never let go, it gives me hope! :)
