I was a Chaoleana shipper but I hated Sorscha with a passion. 😂 She just seemed like a fangirl or a person who idolized Dorian. The whole time when she was thinking of him, I was thinking: Dorian is too good for you *snaps fingers sassily.* She just sounded so much a like a fangirl and it also seemed really fishy at first that she knew pretty much everything from the past two books. Lesson learned: We all hate Sorscha no matter if we ship Celorian or Chaolaena. (P.S. Hate Chaol after Queen of Shadows, that jerk.)
the minute Rowan entered heir of fire I started shipping him with Aelin more than any ship I've ever shipped, I was so confused because no one else seemed to ship them and I was just drying with the ship and all the bffs bullshit AND NOW MY OTP HAS RISEN AND I AM THE HAPPIEST HUMAN BEING ALIVE I'm so blessED. they're perfect together LIKE I ALWAYS KNEW THEY WOULD BE. I seriously screamed when Rowan came in Queen of shadows I was so happy. and tbh I've loved the witches from the very beginning, i loved Manon from the beginning and loved the chapters with her as much as the ones with Aelin just everything I wanted to happen happened in this book
I was a hardcore Celaena/Chaol shipper for the first two books. But once Rowan started opening up in Heir of Fire, I think I realized Chaol wasn't endgame. And at the end when she took off the ring, I knew she had moved on. And I don't necessarily think it was about not being about to forgive him because of Nehemia. I feel like she could have forgiven him in time. But I think it's because she had allowed herself to be Aelin for the first time since her childhood. Chaol and Celaena were together, but not Chaol and Aelin. I feel happy that they've parted ways and have found love in other people. Especially because HOLY HELL ROWAN. Hot damn, I am waiting for a sex scene between those two because every scene they were teasing each other was hot as hell. I love Rowan and I'm so glad he decided to let himself be with Aelin, even if something were to happen to one of them and it destroys the other. He needed to find love again and Aelin needed someone to ground her. I ship Rowan/Aelin hard.
OMG, I LOST IT at the part of the dinner scene where Rowan went up to Arobynn like "thanks for the oil, my skin was a little dry." I was laughing hysterically. And then when his knee jerked up and hit the table as they were mind-talking about 17 year old Celaena... basically all of the Rowaelin banter scenes made me laugh. Also, retweet: "How can one have a boyfriend, when one has a Rowan?" SO TRUE. I loved the part at the end where Aelin made Lysandra a Lady of Terrasen and gave her the land. I saw Aelin/Rowan coming from Heir of Fire. I knew it would happen and I am so #TEAMRowan. I absolutely hate Chaol...like I never liked him...didn't care for his 15mins Aelin either. Of course Dorian had to be saved! I like Manon and I can totally see her and Dorian forging a new Ardalan together.

Maas if we would ever see Yrene Towers again (based on the same reasoning you had), and her answer was: "I can't tell you that, but given where one of the characters has to go at the end of QoS..." *trails off meaningfully* AHHH AHHH SPREAD THE WORD KIDS YRENE TOWERS IS BACK IN TOWN and on the note of Assassin's Blade... in Heir of Fire Manon briefly mentioned a High Queen of the Wastes with wine-red hair (sound familiar? Assassin and the Red Desert?) and then in QoS they mentioned riders going out to tell everyone that Aelin was alive, and one of them told the High Queen of the Wastes... and it says that Aelin will call in every debt ever owed to Celaena Sardothien, and Ansel owed her for sparing her life and giving her back her father's sword... As someone who shipped Rowan and Aelin but was like, "Nah, there is some hinting, but they're probably just going to remain friends though," I am so happy this book has been such a gift. But literally everything was so perfect I can't even.

I'm still 100% holding on to Doraelin/Celorian!!!

Also omg I totally missed that thing about Arobynn and being a ghost and if he's alive I'm going to scream I THOUGHT WE WERE DONE HERE and I was really confused about the witches, too, like they were using the term witch and witchling interchangeably and I was so confused as to how they reproduced without diluting their bloodlines??
I've also been confused all along about Aelin's heritage because Aedion is half fae but they are cousins, but they refer to Aelin as a full fae and haven't made any remarks to suggest otherwise so WHAT IS THE TRUTH
+TheMattGrimes Aelin is a descendent of fae from her mother's side. She has to use magic to go into her fae form, pointed ears, enhanced senses, fire magic and all. Aedion is half fae and has pointed ears and enhanced senses all the time.

This book talk was everything I wanted and more! The reanactment of Chaol's nonsense was my favourite part! 😅 My favourite part was when Rowan put on the almond oil.

One of my favourite bits of the book was when chaol woke up after the glass castle was destroyed and it was like 'The Afterworld looked an awful lot like a bedroom in the stone castle.' I literally read that over and over and laughed my head off every time 😂
I love the switch from celaena to Aelin, this book showed how much a shell she was living in when she was Celaena, the persona she grew up in and Aelin really symbolizes her development and letting go of all the sorrow and pain and anger in her life.
The famous healer Chaol is going to find is definitely the healer that Aelin/Celaena helped in the past and alludes to when talking about the pull of threads of fate when fighting and saving Manon!
This is probably the best book talk from you I've ever watched! Raw emotions are the best, and it's amazing how coherent and organized with your thoughts you still are despite being obviously consumed with feels haha!
This book made me SO FREAKING CONFUSED on who to ship. Right now, I only seriously ship Celaena/Aelin with Dorian, but I don't MIND Aelin and Rowan or Dorian and Manon. I like Nesryn and Chaol together, and I like Lysandra and Aedion, but I don't really ship them, yet. But I feel like Celaena/Dorian should be endgame if she's still mortal, but I don't think it's gonna happen 😭😭 But how freaking cool was the ending though?? When Aelin and Dorian joined together and fought the darkness from the king, and I felt so bad when the king returned to the person he had used to be, I mean I just felt bad for everyone possessed by the Valg in this book because most of them were once nice, kind people and now they were just forced to do terrible things. Also, Dorian coming back to himself YESS. I like Manon, I really enjoyed seeing her develop feelings, and start to feel sympathy and care for other people. I can't wait to see her give her Grandmother what she deserves. That witch needs to die, ASAP. Also that scene when magic returned?? OMG and Lysandra shifting into that ghost leopard?? It was so frickin amazing I can't even. And Kaltain sacrificing herself to kill everyone in that dungeon, and to bring down Morath....YESSS I've loved reading these books, binging them over the past few days. Sarah J. Maas is an amazing author. She's definitely made my favourites list along with Cassandra Clare and JK Rowling. I don't know how, but I'm enjoying every single book in this series even more than the last and I can't freaking WAIT till Empire of Storms, it's gonna be amazing.

They kept attacking each other for things that weren't their fault. Last time they saw each other before she left Chaol said he loved her. So conclusion: that fight was just to sink any shios of chaol and aelin to the depths and make room for rowaelin.

I felt so many emotions when Rereading this book as it’s been so long and I’m preparing for CC3 lol 😂 but it was so good to rehear your points again and absolutely agree!! And especially loved that Lysandra got to kill Aarobynn because of her past with him and it was so cool to see her character development throughout as well to become apart of Aelin’s court!

just everything I wanted to happen happened in this book
I was a hardcore Celaena/Chaol shipper for the first two books. But once Rowan started opening up in Heir of Fire, I think I realized Chaol wasn't endgame. And at the end when she took off the ring, I knew she had moved on. And I don't necessarily think it was about not being about to forgive him because of Nehemia. I feel like she could have forgiven him in time. But I think it's because she had allowed herself to be Aelin for the first time since her childhood. Chaol and Celaena were together, but not Chaol and Aelin. I feel happy that they've parted ways and have found love in other people. Especially because HOLY HELL ROWAN. Hot damn, I am waiting for a sex scene between those two because every scene they were teasing each other was hot as hell. I love Rowan and I'm so glad he decided to let himself be with Aelin, even if something were to happen to one of them and it destroys the other. He needed to find love again and Aelin needed someone to ground her. I ship Rowan/Aelin hard.
OMG, I LOST IT at the part of the dinner scene where Rowan went up to Arobynn like "thanks for the oil, my skin was a little dry." I was laughing hysterically. I love the switch from celaena to Aelin, this book showed how much a shell she was living in when she was Celaena, the persona she grew up in and Aelin really symbolizes her development and letting go of all the sorrow and pain and anger in her life.
The famous healer Chaol is going to find is definitely the healer that Aelin/Celaena helped in the past and alludes to when talking about the pull of threads of fate when fighting and saving Manon!
This is probably the best book talk from you I've ever watched! Raw emotions are the best, and it's amazing how coherent and organized with your thoughts you still are despite being obviously consumed with feels haha!
This book made me SO FREAKING CONFUSED on who to ship. Right now, I only seriously ship Celaena/Aelin with Dorian, but I don't MIND Aelin and Rowan or Dorian and Manon. I like Nesryn and Chaol together, and I like Lysandra and Aedion, but I don't really ship them, yet.
But I feel like Celaena/Dorian should be endgame if she's still mortal, but I don't think it's gonna happen 😭😭
But how freaking cool was the ending though?? When Aelin and Dorian joined together and fought the darkness from the king, and I felt so bad when the king returned to the person he had used to be, I mean I just felt bad for everyone possessed by the Valg in this book because most of them were once nice, kind people and now they were just forced to do terrible things.

I like Manon, I really enjoyed seeing her develop feelings, and start to feel sympathy and care for other people. I can't wait to see her give her Grandmother what she deserves. That witch needs to die, ASAP.

I've loved reading these books, binging them over the past few days. Sarah J. Maas is an amazing author. She's definitely made my favourites list along with Cassandra Clare and JK Rowling.

They kept attacking each other for things that weren't their fault. Last time they saw each other before she left Chaol said he loved her. My favorite scenes are the manon/abraxos scenes! Like how cute lil baby abraxos flops pretending he's dead to fly and sniffing wild flowers like the big fluffy baby he is it's ADORABLE!!! I don't get how people can find her boring, oh and manon and elide??? I completely ship them now, like she asked her to sleep in her room with a fire!! SHE CARES AND THEY NEED TO CANON. i'm so against manon/dorian even tho a bit cute.
CHAOL, LET ME TALK ABOUT CHAOL, the poor thing he felt so out of place the whole book, i'm happy he found a kinda someone, and i don't get how people say sjm killed his character, your thoughts? ALSO the scene, in the end where he cries with dorian!! Yessss sjm confirmed there will be mm relationship in tog5 what is it was them??? Would u ship it?

+Aurea Gymnast I've read it as Aline but idk if I'm wrong but what kills me is hearing her say Chaol like kail or kall when I read it as Chaowl like cha for charming and then owl but smooth which is like a 1000 x nicer name!
+JulZ 97 I've been to one of her Q&A's/book signing, and Sarah said Chaol was pronounced Kay-Ole. She originally intended Chaol's name to be Chaos, so she just replaced a letter.
+Leah Meng Yeah I just watched a q&a with her and she pronounced all the names like Alin and Kail. I think Chaos sounds nice even if itd be a bit of a wierd name but kaol pronunciation hurts my ears its so bad. I like my pronunciation better.
