Just reminded me of when I was a child Greg , my parents used to take us there when it was the three shires , I used to think it was posh , I can remember having the mash potato and gravy that was around 1970 . It always smelled delicious in there . Great vid Greg .
Thanks John Was good to bring some of your memories back of your youth. I did the same for me I remember meeting mates for our Friday nights out before clubbing.👍👍
Used to go to the three shires pub back in late 60s , I played Amateur football and we used to meet there after the game before a night on the town , Stockport has changed so much , I live in Australia now hoping to come have a look round one day 👍
Looked delish. Massive portion. Sad you were on your own today. I'd have taken a freezer bag with me and sneak what I didn't eat in that. Done it before lol great review sweet xx
@@Stockybloke lol love cauliflower cheese. Thank you sweety. If I was well health wise and not down south it would be a privilege and honor to join you. If anything changes I'll definitely send you a message. Thank you lovely xx 🙏🏼❤️
It looked delicious I cud of eaten that nearly send you a review of my tuna sandwich I’d made 😂😂😂 but yours topped mine 😂cuz you said chicken a bit dry a good score an 8 I agree till the next one 😊
What in gods name have they done to the interior! It's a listed building and they've stipped the interior features. Oh yeah huffys is a hipster chain, a similar thing has happened with Winters round on underbank (with the clock and thress statues that used to chime the bell on the hour) what an absolute shame. Food maybe good but I can't put money back into the hands of corporates who dont give a flying fudge about the area & buildings history. Thats my 10p n i wont be patronising this place. Try The blossoms or try the swan with 2 necks on princes street, real pubs.
@Stockybloke sorry to hear that. You need not review them, they are just nice nostalgic pubs with beautiful original interior. Also the Queens Head on underbank is pretty much them same, that's one of the oldest pubs in Stockport and is 'haunted'. Fun fact about underbank that it's the oldest part of Stockport and still has alot of history and features if you keep observant. On the cobbled Street, Parallel with where you did your chippy review the other week behind the stage door there's a road, still has all it's original red brick archways, afew old oil to electricity converted victorian style lamps. There's a round blocked off from the public also at the back of the Palace theatre with the same features, that was blocked off in the 2000s after becoming the uks first underground cannabis cafes.
@@HolyFreakinDragonSlayerdid you know that the steps at the side of turners vaults that lead up to the market , was where Charlie Chaplin used to practise his stunt of falling down from top to bottom .👍
When it arrived the main plate looked nice , but when I saw you cut into chicken I assumed it was too dry . Veg plate apart from cauliflower looked way overdone .
Thanks for that Dave I’ve never really noticed that till you said it. 👍 I know a lot of the other reviewers plan and speak to the shops before and charge them. I don’t charge them a penny I just ask that they subscribe to my UA-cam channel that’s it, and I don’t go and meet them before my videos either. Thanks again Dave 👍
@@Stockybloke no problem my friend, when people do not saying you do pie an they pull it apart an count how many pieces of meat an it's got a air gap when I eat a pie I just bite into it lol😜
