- Me and the Manc Man decided after looking through the list of places to review we’d the The Wycliffe in Edgeley. Both of us didn’t know that they did food at this hotel, it was recommended by a subscriber in November.
So off we went and both Manc Man and myself wasn’t disappointed. The food was 1st class. The cost of the full meal was £74.00

Absolutely top draw that place from start to finish in every category, food, service, attention to detail, personal touches, price, surroundings, ambience, never a doubt for a 10/10. Only fault was the dessert menu, it was spelled DESERT! 😊 Thanks for the shout out Greg, great to see Glen's adopted his new moniker! This channel deserves many more subscribers, people don't know what they're missing. 👍

This was a 10 plus all day stocky. That meal looked great. Quality for a hotel meal. I liked your 4 score, made me laugh for sure...😅.

I've been going there for years. We went today but shocked to find out they don't serve alcohol. You can BYOB though
Yeah we found that out when we went, I believe some Indian family owns it that’s why they don’t do alcohol. 👍🍺

Hi Greg , we lived on st lesmo for 25 years and used to go In the whycliffe couple times a year , it got took over in august and we ain’t been since but so good to see it is doing well under new ownership, food was always good , it all looked readable priced , you forgot to mention that you can take your own beer and wine in and they don’t charge for corkage , I believe their pizzas are good as well

I am pleased you are picking up your Passport and venturing out of Stockport for a change lol. Perhaps in Blackpool you could try for lunch Mr Basrais world buffet Talbot Rd or better still for dinner The Gurkha buffet Waterloo Rd and The Sea fish and Chips next to the Winter Gardens.
While you have the travel bug, why not try Manchester. For lunch there is Topps world buffet. Sangam Indian buffet The Brittania hotel English buffet all three on Portland St. The Chinese buffet (thats what its called) in China town George St area and This and That Rice and Three Soap St in a back alley opposite Shudehill bus station. It is like a works canteen inside but the food is good.

You mention Tops in Manchester I’ve been here several times before my COVID-19 adventure. It is an amazing place better in the evening tho as not as much choice at lunch time.
as a family, we've been going here for 40 years for special occasions.But now its been taken over, we were disappointed last time we went, as we couldn't have pork or alcohol due to their religion! we like to eat what we like when paying for it, plus we like a glass of wine, or a few pints with our meal so wont be going again unfortunately.( i believe you can take your own alcohol in though, but still not allowed pork)

Just to say its bring your own wine/beers now, which helps, given the cost of living crisis we're going through at the moment, every little helps 😊 no corkage charged either 😊

Looked gorgeous. Prawn salad not for me, the Pate and bread looked great. And free biscuits at the end. Bargain. Well worth 11 out of 10.

Great little video Stocky. I think "Mancman" is a lot better name for Glen, I always call him Andy Burnham and never really liked "Frankie" but to be fair to Glen he takes everything in the right spirit and doesn't appear to give a sh1te what anybody calls him. £76.00 mate expensive but worth every penny, like I said in the blog it’s not somewhere your going to go every week. It’s definitely a special occasion place. 👍👍😋
