Wow, she really doesn't show us anything on how to apply the conditioner. I could just read the directions on the bottle rather than waste my time watching this video.
Got my Ariat Heritage distressed leather boots coming over from you very soon, was real worried about how to clean them until I saw your video. Any tips on stretching the boots without destroying the distressed look? Looking forward to my present arriving....thank you kindly Sheplers, great products, great prices!
IF you want to take care of your boots.. BEES WAX. Keeps em from scuffing as much and does great for waterproofing. My family has been using bees wax on leather for decades with 0 issues. If you really need to get your boots in shape, use Obenaufs heavy duty LP. Bees wax with animal fats and other things in it to keep leather in good shape and tough. Not chemicals and other crap.
I use myself Bickmore heavy duty LP on my abilene distressed boots. I apply it once a week after cleaning them, but I was wondering if applied too often it might be not good ?
Hi. how do I have to take care of my boots in suede, very light color? The have over than 8 years but still very good. thanks for answering.
is mink oil bad for distressed leather? i'm really sad because my tan boots are now a super dark brown...
So I have a pair of cowboy boots I believe to be distressed. I recently used the water and stain protector on it but now I feel like putting on the conditioner. What should I do if the water protector has already been applied?
How do you know if the boots you have are "distressed leather?" I've got a dark chocolate pair and a lighter tan pair, but I don't know if either are the distressed leather.
I bought myself a pair and I noticed they scratched easily so I took kiwi boot protector spray to it and it still gets scratches??
These are my first pair of non-work boots so maybe I'm now too conscious of the condition they are. Any tips to prevent scratching? Thank you
@SheplersWestern Thanks. Is there a need to remove the water protector spray with some kind of soap before applying the conditioner? Or can the conditioner be applied on top of the water protector?
Can you use the Bick 4, on a distressed Boot?
I've read on the Bick 4 not to. That's why this one interested me.
Bick actually makes a conditioner for distressed leather
I just bought a pair of similar boots and used a silicone based water protector spray (which darkened them quite a bit) and then a boot conditioner for distressed leather. My boots are now very much darker and I was wondering if there's a way to lighten them up a bit...
"Trinity the boot buyer" needs to stop shopping at Goodwill for her dresses (or whatever that thing is) and her shirts.
Great video! I bought preloved distressed boots. Should I use a cleaner before conditioner?
Thank you!
Can you use a mink oil or saddle soap on them ??
saddle soap yes. mink oil, maybe, im not sure
