@@SonofCurlyLox Launch some fighters. Maybe there are laser cannons in a smaller calliber, like anti - fighter guns. Those should be enough to destroy the torpedos, as this is all you need to do.

Plot armor carries the Republic forces (its a propaganda show). Trench could have easily decimated them when they were leading the lock-on missiles back to Trench's command ship. Had he started firing the turbo lasers on the now uncloaked ship he would either have struck a decisive hit or forced them to pull off from their attack. The Confederacy shall rise again!

well I think in this case the reason is the number of seperatist warships
Droid-crewed frigates didn't require life support systems over the length of the ship. This freed up more power for turbolaser batteries.

Small fast-moving target most likely. Sure, there was *a chance* to hit Anakin's ship but I feel like Trench's overconfidence got the better of him.
No lasers around the bridge directly . Anakin knew his flight Path and could maneuver around them again
