I love how competent the Separatists were in this one, especially love the commando droids. Not to mention plenty of crab droids, super battle droids, and all the traps. Really went to raise the stakes of the arc. The only reason the group managed to escape was plot armor honestly, and even then only a handful of them did.

I just now noticed that only the main characters survived this mission. Also at 7:45, Fives is tossing one of his blasters to the Navel officer who catches it and starts blasting right away
I love how, at the shootout at the shuttle, 2 unnamed clones are actually still alive. I always thought everyone exept the naval troops and the main characters died in the building
I think the citadel arc is as close to perfection as they could get. The Sepratists are shown to be competend, the Plan gets derailt through points A, B, C, and f-it we're improvising, there's moral questions in Tarkins standpoint on Jedi-generals, drama in Echos loss, asokha sneeking into the misson, her validation in the mission via piels death... There is SO mutch going on in these three episodes, and yet it feels natural... The only critigue I have is the consistency of the scenes. There are multible shots in witch the group is shown completly, yet It's size varieing without any fight inbetween shots. Sometimes they have 2 navel officers, sometimes one, then they have two unnamed soldiers, then none, then one gets shot... And sometimes named charakters are forgotten (mostly cody and fives) Besides that, this arc is perfection
The two clones in undergarments who were rescued at the start alongside Tarkin both had specific haircuts, bald and buzz I think, and they were never seen to be animated again. Instead there were multiple unarmored clones with standard haircuts that existed and died more than they were supposed to. If one looks carefully at the left side of the gunship during the rescue scene (it’s blurry), one unarmored clone survived, alongside the naval officer with the headset.
Looking back, I’m fairly certain someone in the writing team had a fetish for killing unnamed clones in the worst ways possible. Grievous’ Lair was another example. The only difference here is that a couple managed to survive.
-Sir, with all due respect, maybe you'll finally use the Force. And not just swinging a lightsaber in a pretentious way? Maybe you will throw droids off a cliff by force, break their joints or wring the neck of the warden? -Of course not, soldier. What nonsense did you just say? We are Jedi, we can only brandish a lightsaber pretentiously, and only occasionally bend droids to the ground by Force.
Could someone kindly tell me what the fuck Saesse Tinn thinks he's talking about? My dude, there were hundreds of battles like this yesterday. You're fighting a galactic scale war, how could there not be? I think someone's been spending too much time in the temple.
If Clone Force 99 is available they would be the best option to go the citadel with Anakin and Obi Wan. But I think they still in training during this time period, as the Bad Batch only go into active service during the late months of the war.
Indeed, which makes it all the more messed up that the Jedi are involving her in space warfare. She should be training, not dodging blaster fire and trying not to get blown up.
@@EmptyMan000 But she isn't the youngest or the only padawan on the battlefield also I always found it kinda weird why they decided to give her an extremely short skirt when I watched it for the first time at the age of 13
The clone who gave his life for tarkin to save him...and he still hates clones pisses me off what a jerk
That son of a bitch was probably like
Tarkin: “As it should be…”
Tarkin is very egocentric. He doesn't care about anything

This episode is probably one of my favorite in the clone wars, it has so much great action and really shows how badass the clones are.
Cody shoulder charging a commando droid is a top 10 clone moment ever, that’s just insane confidence
This episode was crazy.
It was a good one for sure
