I haven’t been keeping up with bungie’s blogs, thanks for the info. I was on the same boat with not understanding how anyone would use other subclasses.
@@haveproblemz545 Before we knew what we know now, it was possible that certain exotics wouldn't synergise or that the cooldowns would be increased like for Stasis.
@@haveproblemz545 only one super, aspect, grenade, melee from each subclass which i think is fairly balanced there is no well or things like bonk hammers there are defiantly a way to make it much better but over all basic subclasses will still be used just as much or at least close to it in end game content.

@@saviorofprimus you have a starter selection when you start the campaign, but there's a limited amount of abilities/supers you can unlock for Prismatic. For example, you can't unlock Well/Bubble/Blade Barrage for Prismatic.

You can run a bunch of solar stuff on Prismatic, but you won't have Ember of Empyrean or Solace, so mono element builds will stay very good at what they do.

Basically prismatic would be a main subclass but if you want more control over elemental pickups then you’d still use the core class. But honestly I’m fine with not being able to create a bunch of that

To answer the questions about Prismatic: there will be limitations, for example warlocks won't have access to Well of Radiance
The positive thing about this is that, although they're going to try and balance, it seems like for once they're focusing on "what is fun" rather than "is this balanced" because metashitting the bed is fucking boring as hell.
True its not as good as it look its still fun but like 30% fun and 70% balanced
You can't choose all solar/void etc abilities you get one from each subclass in prismatic.
I think they should've made a 3rd darkness subclass and made prismatic an entirely separate system. Make dark & light even, then introduce a way to mix them.
I like how Charlie doesn't play destiny that much because of the grind and stuff, but he always keeps an eye on what happens there.
Warlocks were doomed since Well got introduced, and since Prismatic doesnt have Well… you guys know what that means
song of flame buffs allies ability regen too i think (correct me of im wrong), so now people are gonna force warlocks to run that as well
It buffs all allied solar weapons to have scorching rounds and radiant. The user gets unlimited melee and grenade during the super, double melee projectiles and their grenade is replaced with an enemy tracking firebird.

If bungie is worried about file sizes making Destiny unplayable i think it might be a good Idea to have the DLCs be separate downloadable storylines that can be installed and uninstalled at the players free will so that players can experience what it is like to go through these stories without it being a game size issue.

Something no one is catching is that they are limiting the combinations possible with prismatic hunters will only be able to combine fire and ice, etc etc what’s the point then?
thats only for the transcendence mode. The neutral game you're still able to mix all classes. The only caveat is that only select abilities, aspects, and fragments are coming.

PvP in d2 will be unplayable
Prismatic is pretty restrictive, especially on Titan. Bungie said they were taking underused abilities of other subclasses for this, but Titans really got the short end of the stick in this reguard. Hunters and Warlocks get some of theis best aspects and abilities while Titans got most of their absolute worst. No combination of Prismatic Titan will overtake Strand Banner of War Titan or Mini Hammer Titan.

@@TriopsTrilobite no, but Bungie showed everything that's available for it and you can see the Titan's has less desirable aspects and abilities than Hunter/Warlock. It'll still be fun of course, just not as strong as the other 2 which is always the case with a new subclass, one is always less desirable than the others. Maybe Bungie has buffed some of them that we don't know about yet, but as they currently exist they're objectively weaker than what the Hunter and Warlock got.

People complaining about vaulting in D2. BUT THE ORIGINAL COMPLAINT WAS HOW BIG THE GAME WAS AND EVERYONE DIDN'T WANT TO DETICATE 25%-33% OF THEIR HARDDRIVE TO ONE GAME. Like that was also why they even made a 2nd Destiny. They realized that the 1st one would have been 300+ Gb so they made a new game. Then people hated that there was a new game, and proceeded to complain that the game was too big, so in year 4 they start vaulting (instead of making a new game) WHICH PEOPLE HATED ANYWAYS. It just boils down to, everyone will hate what bungie does regardless bc people are ungrateful. I think vaulted OLD content is fine. Sure you paid for it, but if you didn't spend time where you money was, and didn't get your money's worth 4-5 YEARS after its release... It's 100% on you.

Moist no selling the first all new enemy race in the entire 10 year history of Destiny. That alone is absolutely huge news for hardcore players as we've been shooting the same enemys for a decade. Taken were reskins, Siva as well and Scorn are altered Fallen, this is a completely new race built from the ground up(sans the Psion like ones).

As cool as it looks, it makes no sense from a lore standpoint. Strand is stated to be something that only guardians knew, and yet there are enemies throughout even Lightfall's campaign that had strand shields, and now darkness enemies have strand? Sense when? Strand was undiscovered before the guardians started to wield it, so how do these enemies we never encountered have strand powers? That's my only gripe with this so far.

the strand shields were shields VULNERABLE to strand, also it's been a year I think the witness can figure it out in that time lol
Pve doesnt need balance, and pvp is like 5% of the game
Whether we hated destiny or not majority of destiny player will comeback for final shape, cuz there are no sci-fi co-op game like destiny
they revealed that prismatic has only one thing per slot per subclass. So basically like 5 aspects each from 1 of the 5 subclasses. Same for grenades, melees and supers so thats the reason to still run old subclasses. But like personally at this point I wouldve rather they made new stuff for the other 6 subclasses not getting new stuff instead of them basically reusing abilities. The only new stuff is an aspect and a super (And I guess the grenades but like I dont really care about the grenades). Also the Ui in game is a fucking eyesore they gotta make it all one color or im never touching the subclass.

I think they said you unlock more as you play through the final shape. You only start with a limited amount.

Bungie low key found a way to recycle content to make a new subclass lol prismatic does look really fun though I wonder if the next evolution of build crafting will be just mix and matching subclasses and no one subclass we’ll see though

Im of the opposite opinion I think we need wayyyyy more nerfs than buffs these days BUT im glad that I was right and it was only some stuff from the other subclasses not everything.
yea i think it is actually fairly balanced because the best setups cant really be recreated like there are almost no healing option with this and most of the best supers are gate kept out of it like well or blade barrage
Cant wait for Titans to get shafted again because we have been nerfed into the ground cause Bungie doesn't understand buffing other things to make them competitive with other perks instead of nerfing everything so the garbage is still garbage, but the good stuff is now garbage too. If they really put those kinds of limitations, like if the class item only works in Prismatic Class, or when your transcendant? Pass. If wearing the class item means I cant wear other items because im only getting half power from things? Pass. Ill take the full power Cuirass thanks. Nice opinion. I've played both and I like both.
Having played both extensively, warframe is arguably a better game(certainly better business practices) but destiny had so much more polish, feels so much better to play, and has a far better loot pool imo.
