- UPDATED!!!! This has to be one of my favorite twist outs of all time. I achieved this look by making a total of 20 flat twists. I just love how fluffy and bouncy it turned out!

I tried this last Saturday night on dry stretched hair (but I used flexi-rods because I don't have perm rods). Needless to say I loved how my hair turned out :)

Beautiful hair. Thanks for sharing. We have the same texture, but your porosity looks wonderfully normal and thats been the biggest factor in my replicating great styles on YT, like yours. love it! I have relaxed hair, shorter than yours. but I will try it. your make-up is gorgeous too! blessings and thanks so much for the vid. I don't have flex rods, but I do have perm rods, so I will go with what I have though I have seen several vids that use flex rods.
I had the same problem with using that as a leave in. I stopped using it for awhile but have started back using it cause my hair seems so much more moisturized. I was told that it works well only with other Shea Moisture products. So that's what I've been doing & haven't had that problem since. I so wish I knew how to flat twist so I could try this style. Love the vid. Your hair looks beautiful.

I just started flat twisting and I love the results
great job! I used my shea moisture curl and style milk last night with beautiful textures curling define custard that looks like a jelly. The custard gave great hold and definition, however, mix with the shea moisture it flaked a little. I have an interview today at 4pm today and didn't have time to wash. I salvaged the style by styling it into a bun. Thanks

First of all Your hair is GORGEOUS!!!!! I attempted this style but it did not produce the same results :( I think my hair is too thin for this style. But you rocked this style flawlessly.

I've done this before and it was one of my favorite go to styles. Since it yields a very curly look, it seems like it needs a different name, like twist and curl out.

When I do my flat twist-outs, I usually twist the ends up into bantu knots and get the same effect. I'll have to get some of those rods to try this method out. Flat twists are awesome in general.

Just depends, I like experimenting with different products. I actually haven't done a twist out in a while, I have marley twists not and I was doing a lot of wash n gos this summer and box braids.
Love this video. You can make the Shea butter work better for you in the future by whipping it with a hand blender and oils of your choice. It works wonders. You should try it.
