In this tutorial, I will show how I obtain a very defined and neat flat twist out on my medium length natural hair. This technique can be used on any length of hair and any hair type.
Products used:
Extra virgin olive oil
Taliah Waajid's Curly Curl Creme
Creme of Nature's Argan Oil
Tools used:
Wide tooth comb
Fine tooth comb
Denman brush
Afro pick
Bobby pins
Perm rods
Spray bottle with water in it
Hair clips

I do medium sized loose twists and tie my hair with a scarf. I also pull my hair back into a ponytail and tie with a scarf sometimes. You can also put product on the ends of your twists and add a perm rod. I do that sometimes too.

I'm completely sold! I WILL be doing FLAT twists from now on. They are faster to do and will probably be better for my hair than regular twists. My hair is not that thick and I just don't think my twist outs look right. Thanks for making this video!!
mine came out so good I only used coconut oil and water !! but its worth the time because it looks great

Beautiful!!! I am going to be doing this as soon as I take my braids down. This is the style I wore for my micro braidlocs. Don't know why I didn't think to try and replicate once I took my love down. I mean you really did a good job. Best twist out I've seen!!;
The twist out has been my go to style for so long, but it NEVER occurred to me to do it your way (I was doing each twist individually, which took forever.) I'm trying this this week for sure....Thanks a lot for this vid! Your hair looks fabulous by the way!

Yes this works on relaxed hair. Won't have as much volume but it should create a pretty wave.

wonderful tutorial. i'm hoping that once all of my permed hair has been cut out that twist outs will look as wonderful as yours. I cut about another inch off today. I have about 5 inches of natural and about 4 inches of permed hair left.

Love the look. I never have this much success with my twist out and I think it's because my technique is wrong. I will have to watch this is slow motion to make sure I do it right.
It doesn't have to be natural, but its a little more curly and kinky when its natural, but you can do it on relaxed hair. I did when I use to be relaxed.

I must admit that i tried this method last night. I'm quite pleased this morning with my results. Thank you, was getting really frustrated with stringy and thick hair. What a combo.

this video was very helpful. I tried it I had to do the flat twist dry my hair is so thin that it would just get tangled wet, but everything was practically like your video. Lastly I spayed a mixture of setting lotion and Shea milk with water put on a satin cap and went to sleep i got lots of compliments
