In this video, I'll detail what I thought were the 30 hardest CTGP staff ghosts during my 250 gold star grind (I have never time trialed a track before lol). In the bottom right corner you will see the track name and the amount of time it took me to beat said ghost in hours. Keep in mind this video is simply my opinion, and if I said anything negative about a track, I was probably just mad cuz bad.

As an avid ct glitch and tech track player 250 gold stars would take a hell of a lot of time for me. I feel motivated after watching this video now (working on banished keep gold star rn)

I don't know what bugged my eyes out more, the sudden leap to 3 Weeks on the last track, or the trick you learned after that made it take 5 minutes. Holy shit I'm impressed

I recently got inspired to go for 250 gold stars as well and just beat the Rbc gold star not too long ago, this was a good watch and I’m happy you achieved the 250 dream :))

Congrats on 250! Great video even tho some placements definitely feel wrong from my perspective. But still, congrats, and I definitely won't follow your advice on doing them in alphabetical order! (I've already started doing so, currently have to beat honeybee)
ty very much 😃 Actually, If you are already on honeybee you could keep going alphabetically If you wanted. I mainly said that due to having to play tracks like castle of darkness, and DS wario stadium/shroom ridge early on.

U are underrating hell pyramid if anything, it’s easily in top 10 for me. Abandoned boardwalk at 4 is crazy but it’s completely understandable since it was ur first. I similarly found tracks like rr, rbc, and jungle cliff horrible bc I did them early on. Good list overall and congrats on the 250. I also couldn’t learn teracy!!! So that was terrible for me😂
I find it interesting that you say that about hell pyramid, as many were telling me I was actually overrating it. I still think it's a very fast ghost with a difficult track as well tho.
Also I don't remember too much about jungle cliff, but I do remember the ghost being quite solid on that track. The coolest part about ranking gold stars is hearing others opinions, so ty for sharing
If I wasn't a lazy ass, I probably would've made a video like this as well. Also I find it so hard to believe that you put Abandoned Boardwalk as number 4 (or in top 30). Nonetheless good job on getting 250!!!
I definitely put a lot of personal bias into that one. Even now I still struggle on that track tho💀

I think people should take the difficulty of the track itself into consideration when ranking the gold stars on how hard they are to get. I personally found Shroom Ridge surprisingly easy to get, simply because of the track being simple which made runs more consistent and allowed me to focus completely on the driving. Tracks that require odd shortcuts and strats like DBG and Desert Fort feel way harder to me because of it.
This is also why I don't understand why people consider rBC to be one of the hardest ones when there's no tricky strat that's required for it.
Still, thanks for the video. I will use this as a guide for my 250 gold stars attempt.
Thanks for sharing, I can definitely see where you are coming from. For me at least, on shroom ridge and rbc I made so many l3 mistakes like hitting a car or failing the rail, which contributed the the amount of time It took me to beat those gold stars (so basically im inconsistent af).

Nice video! I also got 250 gold stars recently. I can definitely vouch for not beating these ghosts in alphabetical order, as it can become very demotivating very quickly. Nevertheless, nj on getting 250

I just recently got back into mario kart wii after 2 years and in still just as bad as i used to be lol (i probably didnt gain much skill because i would use funky kong on the flame runner as a beginner) It was really fun to play worldwide for the first time in while though,and i want to try to get a few easy gold stars to improve my driving.
I was amazed when i saw strobenz desert illusion for the first time.

I had 250 gold stars exactly 5 years ago from today, haven’t really been playing much anymore but was debating on getting them stars back

Ayeee gl with the grind. The biggest tip i can give is watching other peoples gold star runs. search up something like "track name ctgp gold star" and you'll usually find some vids. These are helpful for finding any alternative lines/shroomstrats that the ghost doesn't do. hmu on discord if you need anything else

Edit 2: Agree with top 3 but flip #2 and #1 CoD gold run took me less than an hour without teracy lol Obstagoons Palace took me about 15hr (longer than any other)

I believe I saw someone take 40+ hours on obstagoon so dw. It's such a difficult ghost tho, and could've definitely been at the #1 spot on my list.

I’m... not a member of HK but I also did them all alphabetically when I started in 2021. Seemed like a good idea. 😅 The only ghost I ever skipped was magmatic sanctuary and when I came back to it at the end, i would barely consider it top 10 but when I skipped it it was the old version that was really dark and I couldn’t see where I was going, which probably added to my perceived difficulty of the ghost when I initially attempted to beat it.
Interesting track to skip, but congrats nonetheless. Yeah i heard that old version was brutal with pacelocks and the l3 fire cut.

lol thats probably not worth a whole video, but off the top of my head some of the easiest ones are concord town, infernal pipeyard, gothic castle, aura metropolis, jungle jamble, most ct retros, and every rt except for rainbow road and n64 bowser's casle.
