When I was 12, my aunt lived next to Marc-Andre Fleury’s parents, and when we had a family reunion at my aunts house, I got to meet his parents. They gave me a hat that Fleury used to wear when he played for the penguins (it was a penguins hat) and I still have it now, and since i myself am a goalie, it is a good luck charm for me nowadays.
Being born just outside of Pittsburgh but have been living in Vegas since 77 the VGK signing Le Flower made it easier to like another NHL team after 40 years of being nothing but a Pens fan.
My aunt lives beside Fleury’s parents in Canada 🇨🇦 and when I visited my Aunt, he was there. I was able to meet him and he showed me some techniques as I was a goalie myself and he gave me a Pittsburgh Penguins hat that he used before which was pretty cool :D
