@@ironfrost2380 no it won't. I think roman will cheat and win regardless and if he does that's terrible booking because then he won't have any credible challengers but WWE will have their three year champ. Smh
Some people still don’t know Batista’s Face Turn wasn’t done overnight, it was a months long build up that was executed to perfection. If you go back and watch the 2005 Royal Rumble match you can immediately tell Batista was Over with the crowd, he was the favorite to win the Rumble and main event WrestleMania. Batista was already get Massive Babyface reactions from the crowd even before leaving Evolution.
@truealpha7513 No, Sami's turn was great but Batista's turn was phenomenal and will for surely be great and timeless. Unlike DB's moment in WM30, Batista's was great to see every now and then, so, I think 5 or more years to come, Batista's turn will still top Sami Zayn's turn. If only SZ vs Reigns wrestlemania happened but Cody interferes but no complaints here. Just stating what ifs
I disagree Heenan was annoying for me I get it's his job ext but as an announcer thanks to his giant biased toward Ric flair in the 92 rumble it actually sets the rumble back for me
A babyface turn that doesn't get a lot of credit to me is Roddy Piper's face turn in 1986. It began at Wrestlemania 2 after his boxing match with Mr. T. You could clearly hear people chanting his name when the match ended. He then left for several months and came back a made babyface.
Here's another face turn that I think deserves more credit: Michael Cole's face turn in 2012. From 2010-2012, Michael Cole was in a mega-long run as a heel commentator on WWE broadcasting. But on the September 10, 2012 episode of WWE RAW, Jerry "The King" Lawler suffered a legitimate on-air heart attack after competing in a match. Michael was universally praised for his handling of the emergency while providing updates on the King's condition throughout the remainder of the episode. Michael Cole's face turn that night may have been the greatest face turn I've ever seen.
Originally, Randy Macho Man Savage turned face in 1987 due to The Honky Tonk Man running his mouth about him regarding the Intercontinental Championship. Also, Brock Lesnar also turned face in 2002 after when Paul Heyman picked The Big Show over him at Survivor Series 16. Finally, let's not forget about other WWF/WWE face turns: Jimmy Superfly Snuka in 1982. Paul Mr. Wonderful Orndoff in 1985, Rowdy Roddy Piper in 1986, Brutus The Barber Beefcake at Wrestlemania 3 in 1987, Demolition at Survivor Series 2 in 1988, Triple H and the rest of Degeneration X in 1998, The Rock in 1999, Edge in 2001, Torrie Wilson in 2001, etc.
The Bloodline to this day refuse to even try to be Ucey, whereas Sami and his old buddy Kevin try often; this is why Sami and Kevin re-united. Still waiting for them sing Peaches and Herb's "Reunited (and it feels so good)" sometime.
Is this meant to be only a WWE list? It doesn't say so in the title. If not, there are lots of great non- WWE face turns that you missed. Nikita Koloff turning face in Crockett's promotion, to help Dusty Rhodes against the 4 Horsemen, after Magnum TA had his horrible, real- life car accident. Roddy Piper turning face in Mid-South, to save Gordon Solie from Don Murroco, which led to his pull-apart brawl with Ole Anderson. The crowd filling the ring to celebrate in Portland (Pacific Northwest Wrestling), when Playboy Buddy Rose turned face. The Midnight Express vs. Original Midnight Express angle in Crockett, when Jim Cornette and his boys turned face, and Cornette gave his great "Its about time I did something for myself!" promo. Jerry Lawler coming back from a real broken leg and turning face to fight Jimmy Hart's 'First Family'. That's just a few non- WWE turns, as an example.
I’m surprised no one’s mentioned Cody Rhodes’ crazy return pop at WrestleMania 38. Boy was that loud! And it technically marked the first time he’d been a babyface in WWE in 6 years. The feud he had with Seth “Freakin’” Rollins was absolutely awesome. Each match they put on together got better and better until the climactic moment of their intense rivalry at Hell in a Cell 2022, which many still consider the “Match of the Year”. Overall, even with the Roman Reigns fiasco at WrestleMania 39, it’s easily one of the best-booked returns and subsequent face runs in modern WWE history.
I remember when I watching The Undertaker back in ‘94, and my mother said (in Korean): “What kind of demonic show are you watching?! It’s time for church!!” NOW, she just laughs it off. 😂😂😂
Here are some more worth mentioning: 1. Big Boss Man on an episode of Superstars of Wrestling in 1990. 2. Mr. Perfect on Prime Time Wrestling in 1992. 3. Wardlow at AEW Revolution in 2022. 4. Nikita Koloff in 1986. 5. Sgt. Slaughter in 1984 and 1991.
Another memorable wrestler, Rey Misterio Jr. (yes, Rey Mysterio was a heel) turning face around the time that WCW was bought by the WWF remains one of the best booking decisions made in his entire wrestling career. Had he stayed a heel he wouldn’t have become the legend he is portrayed as today because fan interest probably would have decreased. Plus, Rey as a heel makes absolutely no sense. He’s a natural babyface and arguably the greatest luchador alive. In WWE, Rey Mysterio defied the limits of being small and became a two-time World Heavyweight Champion, among accomplishing several other milestones, in the process.
When did Hogan put over Randy Orton? They had the one match during Orton's "Legend Killer" days, and Hogan used his "that doesn't work for me, brother" card and got the win over Orton. A win over Hogan would have been huge for Orton at that point in his career, but as usual Hogan wouldn't do what was best for business. Regarding Andre the Giant, I think he realized he didn't have much time left after his face turn at Wrestlemania 5. Granted, he may not have realized how little time he did have left.
That WM 13 Double Turn will always be the best contender for a face/heel turn ever. The only heel turn that can be topped is that Hogan is siding with The Outsiders, as Heenan suspected. The Summer of Punk in 2011 is the distant second for a face turn.
Yup. He didn't know for sure she was on front but he knew it was a possibility. He said he didn't know or care which one came through the curtain first. Whichever one it was would be getting the chair shot.

I know you've gotten a lot of requests to do him but please for your next video on a single superstar please do one titled Ring General the Gunther Story. That triple threat match he had at Wrestlemania alongside Sheamus and Drew McIntyre was a war! A symphony of destruction! A Banger of a match and he retained.
I quit watching wrestling before Brock went baby face. I wish I'd been watching when he went baby face because I always wanted to cheer for him because he was such an unstoppable force. I hated him for so long but wanted to cheer for him. But since he was technically a bad guy, I never did. I wish I was still watching when he turned baby face. 😆
Randy Savage was never neither trully heel nor face. When he was a heel, he was so incredibly popular with fans that he seemed totally miscast. When he was face, his mannerisms and unique voice made him look and sound like heel. He was always somewhere in between.

I am not entirely sure that Brock Lesnar was every realistically a heel at all. He was pushed as man who does whatever he wants to whomever he wants since day 1. Until 2022, he was never neither fully heel nor fully face. He was always somewhere in between.
I disagree with The Undertaker’s face turn. While the business reasons for it make sense, it was just bad storytelling. There was absolutely zero build up to the switch. A better way to have The Undertaker turn face would have been to have him and Jake “The Snake” Roberts sign up for some tag team matches against The Macho Man and whatever babyface tag team partner he was assigned. The Undertaker and Jake The Snake botch a double team move which knocks Jake out cold. Undertaker gets knocked out of the ring by the other team and Jake gets pinned. After the match Jake and Paul Bearer argue over whose fault it was that they lost, and when Jake tries to intimidate Paul, Undertaker steps in between them. This way, later, when Jake was waiting for Macho Man and Elizabeth to come through the curtain so he could hit them with the steel chair, The Undertaker interfering actually makes sense, because the problems between him and Jake have been established, as well as his willingness to protect those who are unable to protect themselves. The best heel turns are always the ones with build up. When you’re wondering whether or not it’s going to happen. Mr. Wonderful turning on Hulk Hogan during a tag team match with Studd and Bundy. Andre turning on Hogan on Piper’s Pit. Shawn Michaels turning on Marty Janetty on The Barber Shop. These were all great heel turns because weeks earlier you never would have guessed that they would happen. But there were hints that they would happen along the way. Some hints more obvious than others. The face turns need to be more well thought out. More well planned. The Batista face turn was brilliant. Triple H and Ric Flair spent weeks trying to manipulate Batista into challenging JBL for the WWF Championship, not realizing that Batista had caught on to their schemes and chose to challenge Triple H for The World Championship out of spite. That was brilliant story telling. Undertaker’s face turn, on the other hand, was not.
I love "Cowboy Brock".....he's allowed to let his lighthearted personality show more while still keeping elements of the "Beast Incarnate".....I hope he can defeat Omos at Mania Night 2
Look, I quit watching wrestling from 2001-2011. During that time I heard about John Cena and Batista. That's all. People who don't watch wrestling have no idea who Randy Orton is. Or most others for that matter. Stone Cold, Taker, Rock, Lesnar and Cena are pretty much the only guys that are true household names. After Hogan's era, that's it. Everyone else is just the guys that they fight as far as non-fans go. They don't even know who Roman is. Some know Jericho or Goldberg but that's not a given at all.
@@matchavez8530 I wonder if people know Miz from reality TV - not just The Real World and Tough Enough, but Fear Factor as well. Or, they knew who was WWE Champ when The Rock returned to the WWE.
@@Joe_Parmesan there are a few others, people know The Miz just because he's such a media whore. Most people have at least heard the name CM Punk or Mick Foley even if they don't really know who they are. People know the real super superstars. Not like Edge or Orton or even Kane or Daniel Bryan though. They just aren't on the radar enough. Plus wrestling is weird. It's either embraced or shunned. There's usually no in between with people so if you don't know, you really don't know.

I miss Face Brock man....
Sami vs Roman at summerslam
I love "Cowboy Brock".....he's allowed to let his lighthearted personality show more while still keeping elements of the "Beast Incarnate".....I hope he can defeat Omos at Mania Night 2
'I hope he can defeat Omos' dude is approaching 50, it's time to make new wrestlers seem like monsters and not just the old part-timer
Oh I forgot the Miz. For some reason, everyone knows who the fuckin Miz is.
Batista, Sami Zayn, are Hulk Hogan are some of my favorite face turns ever.
OMG
There should be a whole video on the rare double turn
Hulk Hogan turned face in 2002 because WWE fans were too used to the former hero, unlike WCW fans.
What's your favourite face turn ever?
Stone Cold 🍻
Austin was a face in 2001. He became a bigger face joining team WCW. Vince was the heel in the invasion.
The Rock.
Virgil didn't win the Million Dollar Championship at WrestleMania 7... It was a count out... He won the title at SummerSlam...
Niche? WWE is literally bigger than ever…..
