The problem with Nash was the fact that he spent all of his late 1990s WCW career in desperate need of intensive knee surgery.. and he really never should have gotten that much money. As for "Broken/Woken" Matt Hardy... he single handed resurrected IMPACT.. and the fact that one man was able to do that screams volumes about the fact that both the sale of WWE *_and Vince "retiring" finally!!!_* came a decade later than it should have!
I was already in awe at the goth look and then at 13yrs old and seeing Taker for the 1st time blew my mind and I loved that look.. The only thing Taker was missing was a nice set of New Rock boots.
@@bendastreetballa unless Vince has his hand in the outcome, APA 7/10 wins because of the brute force, but Too Cool, being very entertaining, they deserve at least 3/10 wins.
LA Knight previously performed in WWE during early NXT days as Slate Randall, before going to TNA and becoming Eli Drake. Therefore, he had two successful gimmick changes.
How huge and significant Festus to Luke Gallows change was shows the fact that virtually nobody realised it is the same guy when Gallows debuted. He lost alot of weight and shaved his head and grew a beard. All of this totally changed his look.
You forgot to mention that Steve Austin won the King of the Ring because Triple H had it taken from him due to the Curtain Call. So had the Kliq not done that, Austin may never have become what he did.
In the case of Hulk Hogan, to be fair, him turning heel was the best thing to happen for wrestling and it's also our fault as fans why he turned too 😅. 30 years of Undertaker.....nuff said
People of the past would think that upgrades and downgrades for wrestlers are all 50-50 occurrences, whereas people of today would believe that downgrades for wrestlers are more common than upgrades.
But it didn't. Bradshaw became JBL *_ON HIS OWN VOLITION!_* NO FAAROOQ to feud with. The APA have since broken up by the time Acolyte Bradshaw became a wrestling god.
If you think about it, every successful wrestler has gone through a transformation in order to reach their peak. Rey Mysterio might be the only one who has been consistent his whole career.
Rey had 2 gimmick changes, he was just never a heel wrestler. First, he was Rey Mysterio Jr. When he lost his mask in a match, (his first change) he began acting as a cholo, a Mexican gangster, in the original LWO. When he joined WWE, he was the high flying luchador/giant killer.
Ummm, the rock was destined to be a star because it's in his genes!!! His whole damn family WAS AND STILL IS dominating the wrestling scene. Do you not know that?......
Steve Austin was not trying to turn into Kuklinski. why do ppl keep repeating that nonsense. He was watching doc about Kuklinski and that give him the idea for a name change, that was it.
THAT IS NOT WHY AUSTIN SHAVED HIS HEAD! HE WAS GOING BALD!! WAIT YOU GUYS ACTUALLY BELIEVE HE WAS TRYING TO MORE RESEMBLE KIKLINSK?!!! WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU GUYS?!
didn't even watch the video because of the thumbnail. I'm probably in the minority here but the whole broken/woken thing is NOT an upgrade. It's a cheesy cartoon villain portrayed in live action. It's the kind of idea you come up with after dropping some really bad acid.....wait....is that what happened? Did Jeff come up with it??? No even when he's letting his fans down by relapsing again, he's still much more creative than this.

Awesome video as usual. What about a video on the evolution of finishers?
Please do Chris Benoit!!!
please do a career documentary for Rhea Ripley or Asuka
There’s a correction needed here. Undertaker is only a one-time Hall Of Famer…. Not a two-time
Please have a series on Japanese Wrestling. New Japan, All Japan, Noah.
Also AAA and CMLL
If you do a second part, you really need to include Glenn Jacobs. Dude went from a freaking dentist to an absolute legend
Can't argue with that. Kane is a legend. A Hall of Famer. An icon. Although not as good as the Undertaker, he was still badass in his own right.
Dr. Yankem? No way, THAT'S GOTTA BE KANE
Agree
Don't count because he was a completely different character, Steve Austin stayed Steve Austin , rocky became rock
@@wrestlemaniMACC it's literally a man playing a new gimmick: the title of the video
Bradshaw then going onto JBL and main event status was truly legendary

Mick Foley adding Mankind to his roster was amazing.
Except Triple H and Hunter are one and the same gimmick. His biggest change was actually from Jean-Paul in WCW to Hunter/Trips in WWF/E.
DELETE DELETE DELETE. Broken Matt Hardy was Wonderful.
I think they needed to remove him asap cuz he was going to delete & assimilate every superstar on the roster eventually.
Lol so fun! Great stuff!
We even got him in 2k19 and 20.
I know it was woken but get got him
In a game.
Still no idea why he would change away from that when he was totally over big time with it
How tho ? I never understood it

3:17 The Rock was injured in April 1997
Yup. Didn't debut in WWF until Survivor Series '96 in November.
I was already in awe at the goth look and then at 13yrs old and seeing Taker for the 1st time blew my mind and I loved that look..
The only thing Taker was missing was a nice set of New Rock boots.
So much so that Fingers is due to the fact that I wear full length finger rings and Titan is down to that Taker rode Titan bikes to the ring..
Can't lie, 2 of my favorite acts of the late 90's and early 00's (98-02 specifically) were 2 Cool and the APA.
Who you supporting though in a too cool vs APA match

Crazy how parallel Rocks and Roman character shifts were

Just putting the many faces of Foley up there as awesome transitions of gimmick upgrades worth mentioning
I was hoping he was number 1,, he got 3 gimicks and himself over, Foley is God
Man growing up I thought King Booker was so stupid and silly and now days as a adult I wish I saw more characters rise to the top
Another great upgrade Isaac Yankem to Kane
Dom Mysterio gimmick change was good too.
I eneded up eith a smile and laughing at the end with Too Cool 😎
"When they had a dance break right in the middlenof it" 😊
That ish was cool
I was waiting for Kane. That is one of the most successful gimmick upgrade.
The face flip for Taker was amazing bc, how do you DO that? And clearly it worked!
Me and my friends Rock nWo gear to this day
I feel like Luke Gallows would’ve been great in The 80s
Team Extreme showed Matt was always a star. He was brought back to WWE as team extreme bec that's how fans knew him, and WWE owned. Matt shone
I remember when broken matt hardy began it became the most over thing in wrestling people who didn't even know impact where deleting
Broken Matt Hardy is such a brilliant character that it’d be very hard that someone will get so over with such a character
You forgot to mention that Steve Austin won the King of the Ring because Triple H had it taken from him due to the Curtain Call. So had the Kliq not done that, Austin may never have become what he did.
Dwayne Johnson has lately lost some star status due to arguing with Vin Diesel and the failure of Shazam 2 due to Black Adam.
LOL the failure of Shazam 2? The blame goes to Gunn, WB and that terrible actor Zachary 😂😂
In the case of Hulk Hogan, to be fair, him turning heel was the best thing to happen for wrestling and it's also our fault as fans why he turned too 😅.

La knight has Mr kennedy written all over him
This is outta left field but I wanna see a documentary about Shawn "Supermex" Hernandez
I never realize how far back The Rock's hairline was from the very beginning.. steroids got all wrestlers bald except for mick foley
“Stone cold” tea is not how I remember Austin telling the story. 🧐
The APA segment would’ve been a perfect time to go to Bradshaw’s transformation to JBL
But it didn't. Bradshaw became JBL *_ON HIS OWN VOLITION!_* NO FAAROOQ to feud with. The APA have since broken up by the time Acolyte Bradshaw became a wrestling god.
the parallels between the rock and roman reigns are freaky.

When did Undertaker become a 2 time Hall of Famer?
Can you do a tier list for Pro-Wrestling Anti-Heroes?

Young Austin looked a lot like Corey Taylor
You said the rock got hurt in April of of 96 but he didn't debut till November of 96 I think you ment to say 97
Surfer Sandmanto Sandman, Babyface Tommy to The Innovator of Violence, a rollerskating Shane Douglas to the Franchise.
I thought the rock came in late 96. I might be wrong.
If I ever met The Undertaker I would say "Oh hi Mark!"
Austin 3:16 was born during the king of the ring
Forgot Kane aka unabomb
I missed the biker version of undertaker!
Haha
Just realized wwe did it first with king bookah, before king ezekiel.
Both if which were fakes but only one got a belt.
2 seconds in

He looked somewhat familiar to me

lol Festus was way better than Gallows.
Please do a career documentary on Rhea Ripley or Asuka

Admit it, you released this video because of the new cinematic deletion match that was just announced
Never even heard of the 3rd guy Max Dupri lol or the 4th guy lol Festus. And note, humans are so fu#king weird!
LA Knight is just a pound shop Austin
Matt hardy has one purpose to carry Jeff’s bags
LA Knight may be the only white boy to keep a fresh fade
I liked when CM Punk made The I Broke Big Show’s Hand shirt
Your videos are very well produced.
sad upgrade considering la knight has done nothing but being a jobber since the return

Great list. One thing though, Hardy’s son is named Maxel, not Maxwell.
I still can't believe Festus was Luke Gallows.
Can honestly say I’ve never used this ugly/cute Pokémon but have a little soft spot for it now! Be interesting to see Granbull! Another class video!

How do you not mention Stone Cold Steve Austin was Originally Stunning Steve Austin with stunning hair??
Kane
How about the almost 7 footer Glenn Jacobs? From a Freaking oversized dentist with Piranha teeth to the Big Red Machine
I'm one of the few that loved The Ringmaster
I miss the attitude era
I like festus
Correction: The Rock was injured in '97, not '96. Easy mistake. Great vid!
