A quote I try to remember when I’m feeling intimidated and feeling like everyone else is doing well and I’m failing is this : don’t compare your beginning to someone else’s middle. You got this girl!
You know, if you aren’t feeling tue goals. Switch! Get new goals! It’s not a problem!
I also desperately wanted a check-in! 🙋🏻♀️ Would love to continue to see updates! These are my favorite videos.
It’s nice to see people and their real progress. It’s relatable and encouraging to see that even an athletic person puts training off sometimes. great work!
Thank you both for sharing your goals, and helping inspire others. It's easy to get down on ourselves when we don't reach a goal, but the success is striving for it. I set little goals right now to try and walk on breaks at work. My job, I sit all day typing. Moving makes me feel better to get up. Every success, follow through, is a success for me.😊
You two are awesome... good for you! Thanks for trying our jerky and we are so glad it is going to work for you as your training fuel for the next few weeks. Your gonna need some more for your Ultra-Marathon. We've got so many more flavors. Keep up the great work and good luck in all your endeavors.
I need a budget mountain bike recommendation. I've followed FFM for a long time and you two have me convinced I need to start biking. I'm also 4'11 and that makes it a little harder to figure it out. Please do a video on budget bikes! Preferably asap lol 😂
Make it 4200 kilometers!
RAGBRI!!! I would love if you guys did Ragbri in Iowa!!! It’s the 50th anniversary and it’s going to be awesome!!! Not a race just a fun 500 mile week ride! I signed up and it’s my first time doing it. It’s July 23-30
I'm envious of your abilities. Currently I can't walk 10 feet without pain and my knee doesn't bend enough for biking anymore. First knee replacement is in May. I hope I can increase my activity level.
The only way not to make progress is not to try. (Not sure who said that) Keep going!
Door County Fall 50! We have a goal this year to get a team together for this 50 mile team relay race down beautiful Door County, Wisconsin in fall. I can't wait!
I love how supportive you are of each other!!
I feel so lost physically now. I used to be at this level. Now I have a 2 year old and can't remember the last time I even could walk a mile! I'm cheering you both on from Kentucky!
So I had no goals for the year as I knew I was going to relocate sometime to another country. So my only physical exercise was packing stuff and moving stuff. Not sure how the rest of the year was gonna look like and it might not be the best thing but I'm thinking about purchasing an exercise bike and doing at least some exercises on it bcs at least I don't need to go out for that.
You two are amazing! You both mentioned that your goals aren’t what they should be, but you have made such fantabulous progress. When I watched your 2023 goalsetting video, I was inspired to set some of my own goals. I wanted to focus on fitness, reading (fiction and my Bible), and doing projects around my house. I have been meeting my goals at least 5 days a week since January. (It goes up to 7, when I don’t get a migraine.) The reason I have been so successful is because you gave me the idea of setting goals for the year so I’m extremely grateful for both of you! Thank you!
🙌🏻
great video!!!
So fun! I am running a similar race the same day at the Eiger in Switzerland! Beat of luck! I know i Dream about my race every day. Can’t wait. Hope you are having the same fun witg the training
I’m excited to hear about your 75 Hard experience
I have a rare lung disease so cardio is a double edge sword for me. It does help me feel better when I am careful, but it is easy for me to over do it. Currently I am enjoying step aerobics classes on UA-cam about 5 days a week to help me get ready for a trip to the Smokey Mountains in April/May. I can't hike the higher elevations due to O2 issues but hike a lot in the foothills. My personal best for a week was 22 miles so I would like to hit or exceed that this year. I was only able to do 15 the last two years but hopeful this year.
These are my favorite videos. How do you not get injured with all the running mileage? My knees kill me after 6-10 miles. 😢 Thankful for both you and your channels.
Good warmups, stretching, and recovery really help. Weight training has helped my knees feel better on these longer workouts. Also lowering the intensity during longer workouts helps as well.
Thanks for all the info! Jerky looked good!
Currently training for my 3rd half in May. I then have my first full in November. Ekk! Thanks for showing that training can be difficult and some weeks are harder than others. Good luck! You got this!
Great video
That jerky looks delicious, but their website is a little hard to navigate
Good luck with your races.
Dave! Are you and Christine still doing the Big Sky Biggie this weekend? I am looking forward to a video about it soon~
We are. Videos coming soon.
@@FrugalFitDad awesome! I have been watching you guys for years from Korea. Loved your video from the ultramarathon. Good luck this weekend! You're going to smash it!
Love your mountain access to awesome races and goals! Seems so much more motivating than flat hot Texas. Though I’ll take my 80 degree day over 3 feet of snow! Any suggestions for training with little kids (read 3 under 6)?? Lots of tag teaming feels like the only way but hard to balance with quality family time.
I'm suprised you don't do cross country skiing races.
Are yiu guys ever going to do iron man in cdl Idaho again! You also should come to do bloomsday in spokane wa. It is only a ten k but it is good.
Great idea! I'm turning 45 this year, do I dare? Thanks guys! 😊
Maybe 4500 KM instead of miles. Someone else suggested it, but that might be a little more realistic (for me at least. :)
One year, you guys gotta come do the Flying Pig!
My 2023 is going great! I welcome baby #4 a few weeks ago and I’m focused on healing right now but plan on getting back into working out once I get the ok.
Random question: who’s house are you in? Is this your rental? Do you still have your rental? 😅
Not our house. Not a rental. Just some friends.
Race the rails in Ely, NV
That looks like a fun one. And I’ve got some personal connections to Ely. I’m going to consider this one.
Have you done the Spudman?? You missed it for this year, but theres always next year.
We’ve done it two or three times. It’s a blast.
@@FrugalFitDad it goes right past our house. The kids love cheering everyone on!
@@macnlace I’m a huge fan of the down river swim. The rolling hills on the last part of the bike course are also fun.
Are you also counting general miles, daily steps (for example walking to the store, walking around the house, ect.)?
No. Only intentional miles. Walks, hikes, rides, etc.
Are you guys on Strava that we can follow?
Maybe you could do 4200 km instead of miles
I like the way you think. 😃
Great video
