  • I finally got my relaxer done at a salon and I give a few tips on how to get good results. I also show and explain why I got a virgin relaxer application.I know alot of people prefer to do their relaxer at home, but there are some pros to going to a salon as well, which you will see in the video. Here are the basic steps (or recipe as I'd like to call it) to a great salon relaxer result:
    #1. Base With Vaseline..everywhere
    #2 Give a Rundown of your hair to your stylist
    #3 Apply off the scalp at first and get closer each round
    #4 Rinse With Lukewarm/coolish water
    #4 NEUTRALIZE twice to get the relaxer out and Rinse
    #5 Deep Condition for about 15 minutes
    #6 Detangle with cocktail products on damp hait
    #7 Easy Blowdry
    #8 Trim if needed
    #9 Flatiron

    This was so awesome to watch. I just set my appointment up yesterday for a relaxer for the first time EVER!! First time getting it done by someone besides myself. I really want to be able to trust someone to do it. I’m so scared to trust someone! I love doing it myself but I just want to be pampered you know? I’m praying that I have an amazing experience as well! Thank you for this! 🥰🙏🏾❤️

      @@twolala1 GIRLS!!!! Oh my gosh! I got my hair done on the 9th and did what you told me to. I communicated well with my stylist and she did an AMAZING job. My hair looks better than I pictured it could look! I just can’t believe that it’s all mine! I’ve been working really hard on it all this time and was so nervous! The Lord has helped me through it all!! She was gentle with my hair and not once did I feel like she wasn’t treating it with love and care. She also used the Olaplex 1 and 2 on me. I was so excited cuz I use the rest at home. You guys have been such an inspiration for me since the beginning of my journey and I just want to say thank you sooooo much!! My stylist posted my hair on her TikTok and IG. Her name is @hairroxstarr. I’m the one getting a relaxer touch up on Thursday the 9th with the white shirt on. I hope you can check it out!! ❤️❤️❤️🙏🏾🙏🏾

    I do my hair myself standing up as the sink usually tear out many hair in drain. Standing up I don’t ruffle hair while it’s straight down. Prevent braking. Hair is weakest when wet. I have a length of at the longest side of about 22”.

    What steps do you take to keep the hair looking relaxed after the relaxer is done? When I used to get a relaxer after a few weeks my hair doesn't look relaxed anymore. I not just talking about the new growth but my whole head. My stylist use to say it's because I don't wrap my whole head up. She even would leave the relaxer on my roots longer then she was suppose to. When my mother did relaxer at home we would always relax my who head.

    • @twolala1
      @twolala1  2 роки тому +2

      We wash our hair once a month, so after this relaxer, my next wash would be a month later. In between that time, we don't use heat, so we keep our hair wrapped in a satin scarf while sleeping. It preserves your hair and keeps the straight look longer, keeps it feeling silky and soft longer..I can go on and on, but yes wrapping is a big part of that.

    • @twolala1
      @twolala1  2 роки тому +1

      Nice! We use Olaplex's at home line which 3-8 but we've never used 1 and 2. We don't necessarily see the need to use it unless our hair really really needed it. However, I heard it's awesome for those who have used 1 and 2.

      No,her timing is right considering a couple factors.!)how long I stretch and 2) the amount of hair I have. I always say make sure you take your time but in a timely manner, and she's doing just that.
