All these people saying she could’ve gotten a blowout are annoying. She WANTED a relaxer. Stop policing other people’s hair. You knew what this video was about. Dang it’s just a relaxer calm down.
Lol! I’ve been natural for 2 years and I can’t manage my hair (I can’t afford to get it done often) so I’ve decided to go back to a relaxer. My hair reverts when it rains, sunny, humid, or if I sweat so in the summer it looks a mess! Its just too much for me to handle-I tried!
👏👏👏👏Yasss! Tired of these anti- relaxer commenters. Like why watch the video that clearly states that's relaxing virgin hair? Then comnent just to be negative, don't understand yal, it's the client's decision deal with it.
Oh yes, u really did an excellent job on her hair.👍 Like the way u educated us on how to properly apply a relaxer. Love ur video, u have a new subbie! 😃
People need to stop with the judgements about hair. I was natural for 8 years and wanted a change. The good thing about ethnic hair is that we can be natural, relaxed, shaved or whatever. I'm loving my relaxed hair for now and who knows what I may do next. Because I can, cuz it's my business. Just like the queen in the video!!!!
Ain't no shame I relaxed this year after a year .can't do my own hair & I always had thick hair even when I was realxed but im a tender head chile ..... natural wasn't my exodus 🤣
Wear yall hair however yall desire Ladies😍😍😍 I know there is alot of natural hair bullies lol I'm natural and I believe in doing what's best for yourself❤👌🏾
I agee, no natural hair style made me feel like a grown women or attractive. I relaxed my hair last week after 7 years natural. Best decision I ever made. No more detangling, twisting, fairy knots & overpriced natural products. My hair is shiny now & being natural taught me how to care for relaxed hair ✨👍🏽
Night Cat I like that you said that. Being natural taught you how to care for relaxed hair. I’m natural, 7 years too. Haven’t decided to relax but I’ve been watching these videos lately because I’ve entertained the thought of going back. I do believe 7 years ago I had no clue how to care for hair let alone relaxed. I think if I give relaxers a second chance my hair will flourish because I know how to take care of natural hair now.
Exactly. I look like a child, with my natural hair. I’m a grown woman and want grown woman looks. Plus, being natural truly has taught me how to care for my hair and how to properly take care of relaxed hair.
I feel like if anyone decides to go back to relaxed it should be done like this ! I’ve seen so many women on yt just slap the perm in they head any kind of way now their hair looks fried with absolutely no body at all. You did a great job 👏🏾👏🏾❤️
This is the best relaxer application that I've ever seen in my life. Her hair looks like a Healthy natural blow out. If I never saw this video and you were to tell me that she was relaxed I probably wouldn't believe you that's how good Healthy and lively it looks!
As a woman with natural hair, previously relaxed, I can say relaxed hair is simply easier to manage. It's just a fact. If she gets a silk press she still will have to comb it on wash day in its natural state. If she doesn't know what she's doing she's gonna be impatiently pulling her hair out with the comb or crying on the shower floor (been there done that lol). It took me years to figure out how to take care of my hair and mine isn't as kinky as hers. I've gone to a relaxer several times out of frustration and I know I'm not the only one so y'all need to stop being hypocritical and judgmental.
Im a natural girl, been natural for the past 5 years and always will be but i still like to watch relaxed hair transformations. her hair is beautiful both ways! 😍😍
You did an amazing job on her hair. I love the care and detail you used as far as the application itself and the conditioning as well as the styling. I can see why she’d drive 2 hours to come to you to get her hair done. You are definitely worth it. Nothing beats a beautician that is knowledgeable about hair care and actually practice’s what preaches.
Cami Smith awwwwe... thank you!! And that’s funny because I don’t like when ppl ramble in their videos lol! I always say baby get to the point lol!! Thank you again 💗💗💝💝💖💖
So much knowledge in this video. I'm natural now but I realize what I was doing wrong all those years ago when I was getting a relaxer. My hair was bone straight and then she'd flat iron it and yes at that point it was dead and dry and I thought I was doing something wrong...
My name is Dana and I'm addicted to the creamy crack! For the past 40+ years, every 6-8 weeks, I've relax my 3A/B hair (at home) and I can tell you that my hair is healthier than some of my friends who went au naturel. I use Affirm Sensitive (roots only) and from start to finish....wash it out within 4-5 minutes of the initial application. And like clock work....I get it trimmed every time I relax it. I have no desire to go natural....it's just to much work (for me).
GIRL, YOU TOOK ME BACK TO MY ROOTS!!!! I gave up doing hair after 25 years to pursue another passion BUT I can't help myself when I come across these videos. You did a beautiful job detailing how the relaxer process is suppose to be done. Her hair is beautiful! Hey, "Natural Nation", listen to Ms. Shaunda. You can have healthy hair with a chemical or without. 😉 Love this video ❤❤💋❤
I been natural 5 years and have been watch youtube videos for WEEKS trying to decide. And THIS did it. Great work. And great, detailed instructions. THANKS!
I’m so torn right now. I’ve been relaxer-free for about 7 years now. But I just don’t have the energy I feel my hair deserves. I’m watching these videos trying to decide what I’m going to do lol.
I’ve been natural for a while as far as no relaxers over 10yrs. As far as fully natural with no dye/ constantly using heat about 4 1/2 years and I’m OVER IT!! I am relaxing my hair TUHDAY
J C I relaxed a month ago. Styling is so much easier and I can still wear a wash n go. It’s just loose curls. I admit, I miss my natural texture at times. But, I’m going to enjoy this season.
i was relaxed for 15 years since i was 14--i went back to my natural hair at 31 and you gave me some tips and info i didn't know being relaxed for nearly half my life great informative video. going back to relaxed by the way

What a beautiful job you did! The first video in dozens I found that the hair has body and looks luxurious. You can tell your client is loving it & you😍💯
This was very pretty. When I was relaxed, my preference was to keep some wave and it was really hard to find ppl who understood that. Relaxers aren't in my future again, but this was well done.
You were dropping some gems💎💎. I've been contemplating relaxing my hair for a while now and watching videos from well-informed ladies like yourself has been super helpful. I didn't realize how many mistakes I made when I was relaxed before, but I definitely feel better equipped this time around.
YOU DID A GREAT JOB! SO SICK OF MY NATURAL HAIR, so funny, I feel like my hair is soooooooo damaged now, but when I was relaxed years ago, my hair was so long, thick, and healthy. I am so ready for a relaxer!!! I wish you were in Georgia!!!! I would be at your salon EVERY TWO WEEKS!!! :) So for touch-ups, maybe 3 times a year?
I wished I lived in that area to have my hair done. She drove 2hrs for nicely done professional work! Her hair barely looks relaxed and that's what i really love. Her hair has so much texture its beautiful. You did an awesome job👏💇♀️
Ive had several relaxers and didn’t know your not supposed to wash your hair before a relaxer or apply relaxer to previously relax hair I was yesterday’s old when I learned this a lot of black women are just now learning how to care for their hair and I love it❤️
Just gorgeous! I appreciate stylist like you who know not to relax already "relaxed hair" & the fact that you use a non bristle applicator is brilliant. You're right about skin irritation when applying with bristles. Why can't all stylist be like you?
Melva Jones no it’ is not a bristle applicator that is cut off.... I would never do that lol... it is a flat rubber applicator. You can buy one if you have never used one.. link in bio . ☺️
I’m planing to get my hair relaxed coming week and what I’ve noticed is that natural hair enthusiasts search and click on relaxer videos not because they want to transition but so they can bash the stylist and /or client. Sis, get a life🤷🏾♀️🗣 🧐 love the hair outcome absolutely beautiful ✨✨😍🙌🏾
Hey it was Great! I'm 1 week post relaxer and I have no problems. My hair sheds less when I was compared to when I was natural. It takes less time as well to wash and dry👌🏾
Her natural hair was so thick and healthy. I totally get how frustrating natural hair can be at times because I've been natural over 10 years. Sometimes you have those relationship rough patches with your hair. I have threatened to shave my head at least 5 times(LOL). Natural hair does require patience, research and creativity but when you find your groove, it's the best. I hope your client will attempt going natural again. The finished style was beautiful just the same!
I would trust this woman with my life I can just tell in her tone and the way she talks that she truly cares about healthy hair and doing what's best for the client I wish I lived close to her because me and both of my girls would have a brand-new permanent stylist
You’re the relaxer whisperer! So many people are relaxing hair all wrong. Had I known you existed when I was relaxed I’d definitely have traveled to Milwaukee for my relaxers. You rock!
I just did my creamy crack this weekend, I had an inch of new growth that is thick and coarse lol. Omg your client looks like a teenager, her hair looks so nice. You did your thang❤
Choco Reacts I cute my hair because my 16 yr old always told me I look like I was 17/18 .. some styles still make me look younger than what I am🤷🏽♀️😆😆😆
I am amazed! Hair is my passion and I let family influence me out of making this my career. This simple video just showed I really missed out in this industry. You are a great instructor!
Her hair is gorgeous! She looks so happy. As a lifelong natural, I'm glad she found something that works for HER! I used to be a natural supremacist lol but that was because there were so many women relaxing because they thought their natural curls and kinks were inferior. I've realized that I need to just drink my water and mind my damn business. 🙃 Some of y'all seem thirsty....
Danggg, i wish i can get to your salon. I have been natural 3 years and all i wear is sew ins. Im ready for a relaxer BUT folks think just because im in Atlanta, the beauticians are plenty. NOT!. As far as virgin to relaxer and maintenance, its hard to find a reputable stylist. Awesome video💙
Wow! I would drive 2 hours for you to do my hair. Your clients hair is Beautiful and you have a Beautiful spirit as well. Thanks for sharing. I been natural 6ys now and I just can't deal with fight hair anymore. Lol!! Great job!!!
Her hair is bomb hunty!!! I went back to a relaxer after two years of debating! It’s just more manageable for me and my hair seems healthier because I’m not pulling and tugging at it as much.
Yaas hunty you slayed i mean you kilt that hair😍. Now this is how you do a relaxer. This video reminds me of how my late hair stylist use to do my hair.RIP💔🙏🏿
Girl I HEAR YA! Just won’t be going back to relaxer simply put; my hair IS healthier than it’s ever been so I’m just go’n have to STAY IN DA “fight!” I hear ya doh Sis!?!?!🤦🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️
Fresh out of cosmetology school and I’m here because a friend of mine shared this with me. I take my practical tomorrow. Awwww!!! I get the science behind what you are doing...it makes soooo much sense!! I subscribed too by the way...Thank You for sharing! 💜
I loved her natural curls before but I love the end results as well. You did a beautiful job. You took your time and educated us all through the process.
I was natural for 5 years and my hair did not grow nearly as fast and long as it does relaxed. My hair grows to the middle of my back relaxed and natural it didn’t even reach my shoulders so back to relaxed for me.
I’m going to relax my hair next year August. My hair was so healthy and easy to manage. I’m a full time college student working 1-2 jobs. I don’t got time! I just wanna brush and GO!
i had a stylist convince me to go natural which was great because i was going to her every 3 weeks to get my hair done but i’ve moved and have been natural now for 3 years and i’m so over it!!! sending this to my mom so she can help relax my hair because i just need it done asap
OMG gorgeous beautiful hair on a pretty lady!!! I'm thinking about going back to creamy crack too my natural hair is giving me carpal tunnel and I'm tired of looking like a child by the head too!
It was a big mistake me watching this video. My natural hair is about her length. I’ve been natural for over two years after being relaxed for over 40 years and I understand how she feels. I had to discontinue the relaxers due to health issues. I’m still trying to learn what products and styles are best for my hair. My hair is beginning to settle into a stable pattern but I never feel my best. As beautiful as her hair is and as tempting as it is to get a relaxer I just going to tough it out and continue the struggle. Beautiful hair and beautiful job!
The truth thank you for speaking it. I miss having my hair manageable. I wash, deep condition, style it as best I can and all I end up with is a curly mess. Always tangled and a mess. I know how to braid very well and do protective styles. From extension braids to twists to cornrows and it is all so time consuming and never last more than 1 week or a couple days. I end up with some big doodoo braids under my scarf all the time and it is not cute.
@@ItsMeKrys Agreed, hours of styling just for tangles & humidity to ruin it is *FRUSTRATING* . Also I'm active at the gym so wash day ever few days is a nightmare. Being natural has given me the knowledge I need for my future relaxed hair 🧖🏽♀️
@@tonyablaine1137 I agree with you, alot of black women will now know how to care for their relaxed hair because of the accumulated knowledge of the natural hair movement 💇🏽♀️
@@tonyablaine1137 I've been natural for 3 years too lol 😩 I reeeeaally want to get a relaxer again I'm tired of washing, detangling, conditioning detangling, parting, oiling, detangling and twisting every week for 3 to 4 hours it's too muchhh 😳😳 seems like when everyone hits that 3 year mark they go back to the creamy crack and I'm one of em! 👋

Cierra man!!! Foreal foreal! Like why watch the video if you hate relaxers. Idiots.
😂😂😂right, they act like they goin help her keep up her hair!!!
I'm natural fo LIFE but you're right it's her hair 😊
@T. Nasha Girlyes ! My hair reverts while I’m flat ironing it and I sweat at night so yes , I will be relaxing my hair today ! Lol !

Stiff where! Body is all over the place! She is so pretty. Love it. I wish you could do my hair.
I am amazed! Hair is my passion and I let family influence me out of making this my career. This simple video just showed I really missed out in this industry. You are a great instructor!
Tiffany Wiley never too late
Her hair looks beautiful!!! You did a fabulous hair slay!!! 👌👏👍👑😃💖🤗
Ericka J Stevens thank you miss ericka!!!
So pretty I almost cried. Omg. I need this to happen in my life. My ends are a wreck and it’s just time for something else. Yes you are a master.
I’m still liking this but today I woke up and loved my curls lol. It’s a “hairy” situation 🤣
Wow. You did an amazing job. I’ve been contemplating on going back to the creamy crack. My natural hair is just not growing like it should.
Same here sis. I’m natural and may go back to relaxer too but will forever be a natural hair supremacists to ppl who think natural hair is inferior.
Oooo making me want a relaxer after 4 yrs😩😫 she has pretty hair tho even before perm and after❤️
Yaas hunty you slayed i mean you kilt that hair😍. Now this is how you do a relaxer. This video reminds me of how my late hair stylist use to do my hair.RIP💔🙏🏿
Thank youuuu ! 🙌🏽🙌🏽💖💗💗 🙏🏽 to your stylist ❤️
OMG. The shine and bounce. Her hair looks gorgeous.
Giiiiiirrrrrlllll you make me wanna take a road trip just to get my hair done by you 😆
My natural hair is bra strap length and I want a relaxer. I wish she could do mine. This is THE BEST virgin relaxer I’ve seen on UA-cam
xoxoxo thank you
Girl I HEAR YA! Just won’t be going back to relaxer simply put; my hair IS healthier than it’s ever been so I’m just go’n have to STAY IN DA “fight!”
I hear ya doh Sis!?!?!🤦🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️
OMGGGGG!!!!! I'm in Texas and I SERIOUSLY feel like I'm about to go to Vegas JUST to have you do my hair!!! BEAUTIFUL WORK!!!!!😍😍😍😍😍
Savedbythestylist is in Houston and there are more here on YT
Glad to see stylists doing relaxers
Have been natural 3 year my hair is sooooo thick I enjoy watching these videos probably won’t go back but I want to!!!!
Stay strong sis!
Fresh out of cosmetology school and I’m here because a friend of mine shared this with me. I take my practical tomorrow.
Awwww!!! I get the science behind what you are doing...it makes soooo much sense!! I subscribed too by the way...Thank You for sharing! 💜
You have healthy hair period. I think thats the difference whether relaxed or natural. Gorgeous
I'm GLAD I permed my natural hair....my hair growth is so RAPID beat decision I ever made 😍
Yes same here my hair only grows best relaxed
She’s so pretty. Such bright, beautiful eyes.
This is why stopped doing my own relaxers because I had no idea if I was overlapping the relaxer 🤦🏽♀️
I loved her natural curls before but I love the end results as well. You did a beautiful job. You took your time and educated us all through the process.
You give more hair tips than my beautician. Thanks for teaching how to have permed or natural healthy hair!
I was natural for 5 years and my hair did not grow nearly as fast and long as it does relaxed. My hair grows to the middle of my back relaxed and natural it didn’t even reach my shoulders so back to relaxed for me.
I can definitely relate!
This is the first relaxed hair that I’ve seen with so much body
Gosh woman you make me jealous, I've been natural for 15 years you make me wanna relax my thick long natural hair. Subscribed.
I’m going to relax my hair next year August. My hair was so healthy and easy to manage. I’m a full time college student working 1-2 jobs. I don’t got time! I just wanna brush and GO!
The client has a beautiful face. And her end result turned out Amazing
her hair looks buttery smooth! in the best way possible!
I finally got an appointment with Shaunda and I am sooo happy! I went back to the creamy crack and loving my hair 😍
heyyyyyyy gworl!!!!
@@hairbyshaundatv heeeey! I gotta schedule my next appt!!!
What a lush head of hair! And SHOUT OUT to the curling iron!
She looks great and you were much gentler than I remember lol. That stiff applicator brush used to have my scalp on fire!
You are awesome!!! Everything you said on the video was on point and a lot of stylist need to watch this.
Niema Brookes 💗💗💗💞💞
i had a stylist convince me to go natural which was great because i was going to her every 3 weeks to get my hair done but i’ve moved and have been natural now for 3 years and i’m so over it!!! sending this to my mom so she can help relax my hair because i just need it done asap
OMG gorgeous beautiful hair on a pretty lady!!! I'm thinking about going back to creamy crack too my natural hair is giving me carpal tunnel and I'm tired of looking like a child by the head too!
naturally me 😂😂😂 and I’m sorry about the CT in your hands 😫
It was a big mistake me watching this video. My natural hair is about her length. I’ve been natural for over two years after being relaxed for over 40 years and I understand how she feels. I had to discontinue the relaxers due to health issues. I’m still trying to learn what products and styles are best for my hair. My hair is beginning to settle into a stable pattern but I never feel my best. As beautiful as her hair is and as tempting as it is to get a relaxer I just going to tough it out and continue the struggle. Beautiful hair and beautiful job!
hairbyshaundatv Thank you for your kind words Sweetheart!
You can go to a salon and get a silk press.
Wow her hair looks amazing, shiny & healthy 🌹 I'm relaxing this spring as well I too feel childish with curly hair all the time 💁🏽♀️
The truth thank you for speaking it.
@@tonyablaine1137 I think imma do it 😭😭 I'm gonna miss my curls but I'm excited!❤
When I tell you I transitioned all my clients to Natural 10yrs ago, but applying relaxer used to be so therapeutic for me 😩 I love the smell
Omgggg this is so bomb😍 best virgin relaxer I’ve ever seen!! Can you do a vid on how to do color on relaxed hair?
