    Melchizedek was presented as a supernatural being in 11QMelch scroll and that agrees with the depiction in Hebrews, Psalm 110 AND Genesis 14!

      Hey, no problem! To add to that, certain scholars believe his depiction in Hebrews is supernatural from 7:3-
      "He is without father or mother or genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but resembling the Son of God he continues a priest forever."
      And from Psalms 110, the Hebrew reading of the text could be different from what we find in our bibles. I've read that it could be saying:
      "You are a priest forever by my order O Melchizedek" so again pointing to a supernatural person...(From James Kugel 'Traditions of the Bible')
      I'm citing from memory but I could give specific references if you're interested. If you have time, Google your local seminary and ask to use their library and you can have access to scholarly articles from different journals for free. Pay the fee to check out books or to get journals they may not have via 'library loan' where they ask other seminaries for what they might not have.

      @@eew8060 Yes good brother,_ this "Melchizedek" is definitely a "supernatural being" or I would say this (Order/Decree) He's under is a celestial system._ personally I will point to Arch/Chief(Michael/Makayah:="Who is Like God" Commander of YHWH'S. Army. We see in Jude 1:9,_ Daniel 10:13-21,_ Daniel 12:1, even the New Testament book of Revelations 12:7-9 _ The Authority bestowed upon(Michael/Makayah)_ I've personally believe that Daniel 12 best depicts his authority even titled: him as "The Great-Prince" one who stands guard over Israel to be the deliverer of Israel in the end time. And when you decipher the book of Hebrews chapter 7 you also get in detail that this is a "Celestial" or "supernatural" being: When explaining his genealogy }Hebrews7:3 _ without father, without mother, without descent,_ having neither beginning of days or end of life,_ but made like unto the son of God_ abideth a priest continually._ we also see the patriarch Abraham paying tithes to this being, further showing authority of being the highest of priests even over the levitical order of Aron. _ Genesis 14:18-20 also give us another hint that this is the commander of the army Michael because of the war praises and the praise of (The-Most-High YHWH) he is giving to Father Abraham after a Victorious battle.

    Shield of the son's channel has a good explanation of this. It's simple and concise and very informative imo. Very interesting what was found inscribed on the walls of king Melchizedek's palace ruins. Either way makes one think.

    I came to this conclusion all by myself. So like everyone else, here's my thoughts: Could it be that the key word is "order of". And that - as if to say - "a clandestine organization."
    Which is a secret. Or a mystery of sorts. Which is why you can't find very much. But on the Earth at one time, Jews knew of this clandestine organization, or as Scripture puts it: "in the order of."
    Tell me your thoughts if you'd like to, since I'm the only one that's ever thought of it this way. And since no one else knows anything, perhaps it's more right than wrong.

    Apparently, whoever wrote Hebrews had other information about Melechisdec that wasn't known to others, just like you say about Peter and Jude concerning the Giants.

    H was probably some poor king who had to play the roll of the Messiah. Not always a glamorous roll, e.g. if you happen to been dealt the roll of a Ben-Joseph Messiah. As a Messiah you apparently get to be the high priest.
    And you get to sit on the throne on the Merkabah; yet have no real control where you’re actually going.

    Book of Jasher says he was Shem the son of Noah, and if you calculate his age, he was supposed to be alive at that point of time.

    • @ssoreal
      @ssoreal  4 роки тому +3

      But jasher came in the 9th century AD... that's way too late to change such a fundamental thing.
      Lastly, the book of hebrews says he has no record of mother or father. So the book of hebrews was right. Not jasher. People try to do the same thing with Jesus.

    Melchizedek wasn't a person as much as it was an order. A role. Melchi (king) zedek (righteousness). They were a line of priest kings. The first in the melchizedek order was Adam. He was a preacher of righteousness. Seth, Enosh, Noah, Shem etc. Shem was the Mechizedek at the time of Abraham. The story in Genesis 14 is recounting an incident where the kings of the earth where counseling together AGAINST Yahweh. The most high. Psalms 2:1-3 tells of their plans to break the traditions of this line of godly priest kings until the ordeal with lot and Abraham defeats these kings in battle and even kills one king Ched-or-la'o-mer king of Elam. Elam was a son of Shem. Shem (Melchizedek) meets Abraham in the kings valley and brings wine and bread as a piece offering and Abraham, also a descendant of Shem gives Shem (Melchizedek) a tenth of all his spoils from war as a piece offering for killing king Ched-or-la'o-mar also a descendant of Shem. It was a family feud but also a pre-cursor for what was to come through our Lord and savior Jesus Christ (the Mechizedek) is going to come and bring peace to a family feud after a great war between kingdoms and nations!! The whole story of Melchizedek is a prophetic revelation and foreshadow of Christ's mission! Not only that but what we as Christians are commissioned with. The ANNOINTING of the Melchizedek. To hear more on this revelation check out Torah to the Tribes UA-cam channel The Melchizedek Connection (Discovering your higher calling).

    • @eew8060
      @eew8060 4 роки тому

      Yeah...Shem was definitely NOT Melchizedek. Hebrews 7:3 tells us he wasn't human and he was immortal. This version of MLK agrees with the 11qmelchizedek scroll where he is depicted as a divine being...
      1)The points of contact in that scroll is that it depicts MLK as the "elohim" presiding over the council of "El".
      2) Philo says that Melchizedek was called the "Word of God" the Logos
      3) Jesus, in quoting Psalm 82 says that "the Word of God came" to those persons mentioned. Came against them. Parallels "Word of God" with "scripture"
      4) Paul say "scripture" preached to Abraham (Galatians 3:8) and says "scripture" told him 'all Gentiles shall be blessed in you"
      5) Melchizedek met/preached to Abraham (Genesis 14:18-20)

    Too much speculation

    • @thedukeofchutney468
      @thedukeofchutney468 4 роки тому +3

      There is nothing wrong with speculation, as long as it it understood to be just that. While the Bible gives us the answers to the important stuff, salvation, God’s identity etc., there are still many things in the Bible that we are not given concrete answers to. So when given a cryptic character like Malkizadec (or however you spell it) all we really can do is speculate.

    Read the book of Alma chapter 13, verses 13-19 in The Book of Mormon, quoted below:
    13 And now, my brethren, I would that ye should humble yourselves before God, and bring forth fruit meet for repentance, that ye may also enter into that rest.
    14 Yea, humble yourselves even as the people in the days of Melchizedek, who was also a high priest after this same order which I have spoken, who also took upon him the high priesthood forever.
    15 And it was this same Melchizedek to whom Abraham paid tithes; yea, even our father Abraham paid tithes of one-tenth part of all he possessed.
    16 Now these ordinances were given after this manner, that thereby the people might look forward on the Son of God, it being a type of his order, or it being his order, and this that they might look forward to him for a remission of their sins, that they might enter into the rest of the Lord.
    17 Now this Melchizedek was a king over the land of Salem; and his people had waxed strong in iniquity and abomination; yea, they had all gone astray; they were full of all manner of wickedness;
    18 But Melchizedek having exercised mighty faith, and received the office of the high priesthood according to the holy order
    of God, did preach repentance unto his people. And behold, they did repent; and Melchizedek did establish peace in the land in his days; therefore he was called the prince of peace, for he was the king of Salem; and he did reign under his father.
    19 Now, there were many before him, and also there were many afterwards, but none were greater; therefore, of him they have more particularly made mention.

    • @eew8060

      Yea the book of Mormon makes Melchizedek out to be a human whereas 11QMELCH does not. I would argue neither does the book of Hebrews nor Psalm 110. So the book of Mormon contradicts the bible and should be rejected

    • @jesusistheanswer2074

      I pray you look into the bible and set aside the book of mormon for a bit, you are taught that it's a mistranslation but refuse to look at the fact that the scrolls Joseph smith "translated " are just an account of the dead. Do your own research on the symbols that will help. As well as look at all the other information available on why so many members have left that church. If he is a true prophet, it won't hurt to examine all sides and you will still be where you were but Joseph smith did not get the truth of things from looking into a pagan mystic ring and putting his face in a hat as they claim. God would not use such measures. God Bless

    In Islamic traditions he was MALIK SADIQ meaning The Just King. He was not an Israeli or Hebrew. It was this mystery man who founded Jerusalem. Most probably he was local. Abraham also recognized him as the holiest man he had ever known. Thereby, he gave him 10% of the loot he got from Sodom and Gomorah.
    As it is Jerusalem was the city of this mystery man NOT of King David. King David was an occupier 800 years later.
    As for Jesus being Melchisedek is another tall story. The Christian World as usual confuses the situation by branding the same as Jesus himself. . . !
    Now Jesus was a man born of woman. To call him son of God is okay - Noah, Abraham, Moses Jesus and others were His sons in the spiritual sense. But to establish him as BEGOTTEN involves animal sex. Did GOD ALMIGHTY had sex with Mary. It is BEASTILITY ! It's time this blasphemy comes to an end. Instead Jesus is promoted to GOD HIMSELF . . . !!! Shocking . . !
