I was praying. I asked God why He nolonger speaks to us. Why we nolonger see angels. I told Him i stoped reading the bible reason being it has been changed so much. I told him i know all the names people call Him by but i would like to know who really He is. I told Him am afraid to read the bible and Chirstianity with these early pastors they have turned it into a joke yet go unpunished. So am afraid to partake in a lie thinking it's write. I had recited this prayer for so long but today as i kept asking God if is there atleast some truth that remained unchanged in the bible. Then a voice said melchizedec. Now i had no idea where it was but i knew somewhere at the end of the bible. I never checked at that time i kept asking God to speak to me opening some books of the old testament. Then i turned to new testament a page opened about Melchizedec. I prayed and thanked God. Then i took my phone to youtube to see if anyone ever wondered about this figure. To me i believe God was showing me His truth who He is. The beginning and the end. No mother no father. Withought genealogy. King of salem. King of peace. El and Elohim. Today has changed my life and you revealed more. God bless you. I don't call on anyone to believe or debate but i know what i know

The Jews had a tradition of using bread and wine ceremonially long before Jesus. Jesus says "as often as you do this" indicating they already did it. He was reinterpreting an existing tradition, not inventing a new one.

We are convinced that's it is the "order" of Melchizedek. It is not one man, it is a title. The Melchizedek does not have a beginning, end, or genealogy. It is the line of the messiah.

I am currently reading your book The Christ Key because of a dream I had 2 weeks ago. I did not know you or your work prior. I had another recent experience regarding Melchizedek and also have vaguely heard of the name in the corners of my mind. I've never read the bible, and was not brought up religious despite being baptized Greek Orthodox. I have spent the past 4 days researching anything I could get my hands on about him and I see I have come full circle with your research paper. Thank you for your work and I am just flabbergasted at this point.

If Melchizedek was different from the Son of God he could nevertheless be a "picture" of Him, a fore-shadow, like other persons in the Old Testament such as David = King, Shepherd, or Moses = Redeemer. Those scriptures from Hebrews 7 and Psalm 110 are worth to be learnt by heart which I will do this month. Well presented rich information. Interesting books in the background. Thank you. Regards from Germany.

That's dedication and very wise to memorize scripture. Are you in the habit of memorising passages of scripture, and how has that enriched your life? I commend you for being a strong Christian in a relatively God-less land like Germany where self-sufficiency has sadly led most people to become 'lean in spirit'.

The being Melchizedek can be seen as an inner plane priest mediating divine power to those who are able to tune into the innerworld prescence of this profound and powerful being. In those older days it was accepted that there are beings who operate within the Imaginal realm and can be contacted through meditative practices, and Melchizedek is there, ever present. As you stated this being is described in Hebrews , without father or mother and as a direct mediator of Divinity . The imaginal reality of his otherworldly prescence is thus clearly defined and his authority and lineage confirmed. In esoteric tradition and practice it is important that imaginal beings are clearly defined in order that their signature or unique tuning can be preserved so that those who follow can access, communicate with and receive the divine energy mediated by such figures. Through the ages the attunement to this imaginal being is made easier by the repeated contact and mediation by priests who operate within the this particular esoteric tradition or stream of consciousness. The being of Melchizedek can thus be viewed as an innerworld or imaginal being concerned with mediating the energy of divine sovereign priesthood, a transmission which initiates of esoteric practice can tune into and resonate with.

Hi. Love that you did your Masters thesis on him! Great presentation. Thank you ..and for the link too! So do you think Melchizedek is possibly another name for Michael as Leader of our Heavenly Army? I think Hannah’s thesis in print “Michael and Christ” hints at the possibility. the Bread is mentioned first in Genesis, God told Adam he would need to work for his bread. In the wilderness God gives them bread from Heaven as a foreshadowing of Jesus coming. Jesus said I am the bread of life and he is also the Word of God and the Lord of the Sabbath, which actually means completion not rest as in tired physically. By following Jesus, we follow the Word of God and the Sabbath. In Jesus, we don’t have to work with « the sweat of our brow » or « gather manna from the field » Bread I think stands for an understanding of the Will of God.
All the references to bread… really fascinating to study… Aaron was the only one allowed to eat the bread of presence, and he was the only one speaking to the people and communicating the Word of God, Moise asked God to make someone else hall to the people so it was always Aaron communicating the Word of God. The Apostles were breaking bread before sharing the Word of God.

The traditional belief, that he was Shem makes total sense as, Eber descended from Shem, Abraham came from Eber (Hebrew).
Abraham may have already met and learned about God from the God-fearing Shem as it is posed that he had a school to teach about the One God. He passed on everything from from the beginning that his father Noah had passed onto him.
Another reason, I think it is Shem is because he was King of Salem, later named Jerusalem which would show that God had originally assigned this to his future people Israel, not to Ham.

The way I've come to understand it, the kingship and priesthood of earth were represented by one man starting with Adam, and passed down along the line of patriarchs, (not the twelve patriarchs of Israel as the word is commonly associated) until the two offices were divided. The kings were to descend from the line of Judah, and the priests from the line of Levi. This was done by God, and he was very serious about the separation of the two, as is evidenced by the severe judgment of leprosy placed upon Uzziah for attempting to overstep his place as king by offering incense, something only a priest could do. The significance of the connection between Mechizedek and Jesus is that for the first time since God separated the two offices, the kingship of the entire world and the priesthood of the entire world would once again be embodied in one man. I'm of the opinion that Shem was indeed Mechizedek, and that he inherited the kingship/priesthood from his father, Noah. The apparent immortality that appears to be ascribed to him is actually dealing with the nature of the priesthood itself, and not the man himself, even though the ultimate expression of that priesthood would be the immortal God incarnate, Jesus Christ.
Thanks for the video! I enjoyed it very much! I have been trying among my fellow Christians to advocate for the importance of study into extra biblical texts in order to gain a better understanding of the Word of God. It really opens up so much more rich meaning and understanding. God bless! : )

Very good explanation. You also see the two roles represented in the Messiah's two advents. In the first advent, He served in a priestly role, as an offering for sin once-for-all, and in His second advent, He will serve in a kingly role -- the former overcoming the flesh, the latter, the world and Satan, all 3 of which are the enemies of our soul. The nation of Israel was designated to be the vehicle for both, through which the Messiah would perform His work, and in the end times, Jerusalem will be the center of His earthly rule, both in the old Jerusalem and in the new.

I think it is important to note that Melchizedek is a title, not a name. It is an order of priesthood that apparently was established before Aaron's priesthood. It very well could have started with Adam through to Shem, stopping at the order of Aaron, until Christ. Christ brings a better covenant and reestablishes the Order of Melchizedek (the original priesthood) that pre-dates the order of Aaron (the substitute). It all speaks of redemption even in the priesthood.
Revelation 1:6 " and hath made US kings and priests unto God and his Father, to him be glory and dominion forever and ever amen." Since Christ is in the order of Melchizidek and we are in Christ, we too are in the order of Melchizedek in Christ... as Kings and Priests.

  • @mwsmc
    @mwsmc 2 роки тому +1

I think your conclusion that Paul (or author of Hebrews) is saying 'here is a list of things you have heard' is wrong. Starting in Hebrews 7:3 he is talking about the Priesthood (which was held by Melchizedek) not the person or rumors about the person.
The string of withouts (at 16:15 in your video) is NOT a string of rumors about a person. It is a statement about the priesthood which is the topic. It is saying "His Priesthood' (the Melchizedek Priesthood) is without father, mother, genealogy, it was before the person Melchizedek and continues with him (and those who have received it) after this life (it doesn't end - it is permanent)
Hebrew 7 is illustrating the need for a different priesthood. the Priesthood of Melchizedek is higher than the priesthood of Aaron / Levi - which priesthood DID require father, mother, genealogy and had a beginning and ends. The Levitiacl priesthood could not obtain perfection alone, and ends at death, so we needed a priest of a higher order which could make a better covenant and that Priest is Christ Jesus, who holds the same priesthood as Melchizedek, and therefore his priesthood continues forever (see Heb 7:23-24)

You are telling us about the various speculations that the Biblical writers encountered concerning the lives of the past men and women of the Old Testament. I can appreciate this as I have done my own research. What I conclude is, Melchizedeq's attitude and actions were probably well known to Abraham and his followers to be the kind of reminder they needed to review in light of their knowledge of God and His eternal Covenant that would one day be fulfilled in His Son. Like we who believe and look back at the resurrection for "meaning and knowledge of God for eternal life, so did the patriarchs look forward in this promissory covenant for the same meaning, "to know God."

Jesus Christ is the only BEGOTTEN Son of God (John 3:16). So, Melchisedec was not the BEGOTTEN Son of God. Jesus was the Word of God, Who became the form of a flesh man (John 1:1 & John 1:14). So, Jesus is known to transform. Anything Jesus said on earth, was a part of the overall Word of God to be given.
We don't have any writings from Melchisedec, nor do we see others writing about him having written anything. For example, we did see people write about Solomon's other writings that are not shown in the 66 books of the canon. If Melchisedec did write anything, those writings were either destroyed or are hidden. In either case, it's likely that the same things that he wrote about (primarily lost now) have been brought forth, secondarily, through others, after him. Meaning, we very well could have the parts of the Word of God, originally-conveyed through Melchisedec, now written down from others, without anything being lost. There are many sources inside and outside of the canon that say he did live and those sources describe him as being a High Priest, of the Highest known order, who followed the will of the Lord.
Regarding Melchisedec's life having "no beginning and no ending": only God and time are that way. So, he had to be an ANGELLIC FORM OF JESUS (Dan. 3:25), similar to the situation in Gen. 19:1-3, where angels visited earth, as men. We know that angels do not marry, so they must not be designed to procreate. Or, they aren't allowed to, if they can, for some unknown reason. Since Melchisedec had no parents or lineage, he was certainly like an angel, in that way alone. Also, from that one way, he was like God (God not having yet begotten Jesus Christ in man form, at that time). As well, Melchisedec was said to have never mortally died. Therefore, he could not be human, since a flesh body would've had to decay and only Enoch and Elijah never mortally died (short of everyone alive today). God would've then created him as a fully-developed, angel child (just as Jesus began preaching as a child), just as God created Adam (already as a man). This second creation, done in that non-birthed manner, would be like a second Adam then. It's very interesting that Jesus is known to be the second Adam (1 Cor. 15:45-47). What do Jesus and Melchisedec have in common? The High Priesthood and a form of Lordship/Kingship (Melchisedec, being an angel of the Lord and the King of Salem/Peace).
For Melchisedec to go from a child to a man implies that angels can grow-up, from a child, to an adult. We do know that their bodies can become physical in this realm and eat physical foods. We also know that eating fattens and grows a body, symbolic as to how fed-calves in the stall can grow-up, from feeding on the Word of God: hearing and doing God's will (Gen. 19:3 & Mal. 4:2). The bigger the angel then, the more it has been fed: the more it has done of God's will. This is how angels can be of different heights.
We know that angels are creations of God and that they have a different physical body than humans, since they can be seen or unseen. They also transfer between the Flesh Realm and Spirit Realm. It's also interesting that Melchisedec was described as being a man, but was never described as having any wings. However, angel wings can seemingly be kept unseen, just as the angels in Gen. 19:5 were also described by the people, as being "men". Further, angels can be wholly seen or wholly unseen. So, to be partially unseen is not at all impossible, for God, as many things in His plan have a range of amounts. Whether their wings were shown or not does not actually matter, as the angel-men in Gen. 19 were both known to be angels and still looked like the image of men/God. The same can apply to Melchisedec. For wings to not be described does not mean that he was not an angel. Hebrews 13:2 tells us that we have entertained angels and didn't even know it. It's important to note that the same Book of Hebrews also describes Melchisedec (Heb.7:1-3).
Lastly, he's said to have been created with a "Badge of Priesthood" on his chest. Priests minister and we know angels do too. Being a ministering angel, this "badge" then would've been a small shield on a child. This would mean that angels are created with a minimum level of sanctification credited to them already: designed and recognized to be sufficient in immediately serving God.
Angels give protection to the heirs to inherit salvation by issuing a level of the Armor of God. They issue partial or whole armor, depending on how much the heir they minister to has done. The "eating" and "badge" topics would tell us then that the angels graduate from badges to full-sized shields (both the same shape), as the angel does more of God's will and grows. So, angels are then appropriately-assigned to an heir, properly-pairing the sanctification level of the angel to the human's. The angel who has done some partially protects the heir who has also done some. The angel who has done all, protects the heir who has done all. So, the ministeeing angel then grows in sanctifination, as their assigned human does. This further tells us that Melchisedec was an angel of the Lord, who grew in sanctification, to found and protect Salem (which would come to be called JeruSALEM).
This would show us that some of the divine forms of God are:
    1) The Father
    2) The Holy Spirit
    3) Begotten Son of God (Jesus Christ: the Word)
    4) Melchisedec (the Holy Spirit in a visible angel body)
You know, Jesus was a man. He was also the Word. The Word is written, for us to read. The Holy Spirit can Comfort. He can give Peace. God can be in the form of blessings we recieve. God can be seen when looking at a sunset with beautiful clouds. He can be seen in the faces of people. He is a Prince, a King, a Creator, a Servent, a Priest, a Teacher, a Healer... He can take-on many forms and is everywhere, because He is the Almighty!
To conclude, Melchisedec must have been the non-begotten Son of God, in a physical, angel body on earth, without the appearence of wings. After all, angels do preach in this realm, at the very end of this age, and Melchisedec was a priest (Rev. 14:6). Further, angels are to protect us and Melchisedec founded Salem, as the King of Peace (Heb. 7:2): over God's protected chosen. May God's loving will be done on earth, as it is in Heaven (Matt. 6:10).

I just caught it that melkisedik was born out of death . Death had no power over him. Do you see how the priesthood came first. Establish priesthood then establish Kingdom. Priest and king. No division. Same guy priest and king. King of righteousness King of peace king of both light and dark. Ruler of rulers.

    1)
To me, it is obvious, but like some things in Scripture, it is not required for all to know it, such as Jesus saying "to whomever can receive it, let him receive it" as He did with John the Baptist being the Elijah to come. Why then, do some Christians think Elijah is one of the 2 witnesses when Jesus made it clear that Elijah has ALREADY come? Because not all can receive His saying and something go over certain people's heads.
    Now ... for Melchizedek:
    2)
Melchizedek has neither beginning of days, nor ending. *That is in reference to ETERNALITY,* for Jesus also has neither beginning nor ending.
    3)
*Melchizedek is the King of Salem.* It is a disturbing lie to read Jewish and Christian Commentaries that insert "Jerusalem." No. There is nothing about the CITY of Peace. There is literally nothing in the Text that says "Jeru-salem". Nothing. That is an insertion of man, and the blind leaders who don't know the difference. There is only "peace" (Salem - shalom) written in the Text. In fact, there is no city mentioned at all. PEACE is intangible. You cannot see or touch it.
    4)
*Melchizedek is the King of Righteousness.* How can a mortal man be the KING of Righteousness!? Only GOD can have such a title! It would be blasphemy to give a title that belongs only to God, to mortal men!
    5)
*There is literally no such thing as the "priesthood" of Melchisedek.* That is literally never written. It does not exist in the Text. Saying there is a "priesthood" of Melchizedek is as much an insertion and an error (intentional or otherwise) as inserting 'Jerusalem' into the Text when the Text clearly says "Salem" only. There is, likewise, NO mention of any other priests or successors, NO mention of any Temple, NO mention of any
    3b & 4b & 5B)
"My Kingdom is NOT of this world" - Jesus
    6)
*Melchizedek is both King and High Priest.* No one else can be both. No king can also be high priest, and no high priest can also be king. ONLY Melchizedek was this, and ONLY Jesus is this.
    7)
*His very name means KING OF RIGHTEOUSNESS* Do you not hear the blasphemy in that, to call a mere mortal, the KING over RIGHTEOUSNESS!? The very NAME is DIVINE!
FAST FORWARD TO THE NEW TESTAMENT
    8)
*The author of Hebrews mentions things that a sacred to the Jews, showing hos Jesus is GREATER than all of the things, but when it comes to Melchizedek, the author does NOT show Jesus as being GREATER, but instead, he shows Jesus as being {EQUAL} to Melchizedek.* When you read the surrounding Chapters in that light, it becomes clear that the one thing the author does not make Jesus "greater than," is Melchizedek. But instead, he considers Jesus to be "equal to."
    8)
*The author is holding something back about Melchizedek.* He says that there are things he wants to tell them about Melchizedek, but they are all too weak and unspiritual and unlearned. He even complains about their spiritual immaturity - rebukes them for it, even. So, the question is, WHAT is it that the author wants to tell the saints about Melchizedek? That he is GOD in the flesh? That he is Christ (Christophany)?
And why is this so hard to imagine? Did not Jacob wrestle with a MAN that he called GOD? Did not three MEN visit Abraham of whom he called his Lord, Yahweh?
    10)
*Because the greater always blesses the lessor.* It is firmly established and considered that Abraham was the most righteous man alive in those days. So, if he was the MOST righteous, what in the world could be MORE Righteous than the MOST righteous? Only GOD! The greater blessed the lessor.
    11)
And this one, to me, seals the deal. *ABRAHAM GAVE TO MELCHIZEDEK WHAT {{BELONGS}} TO GOD! HE GAVE HIM THE TITHE!* You cannot give what belongs to God to anything else! And no righteous man would take what belongs to God unto himself. It would be robbery, perhaps sin! So, why does Abraham, who knew better, give what belongs to GOD, to a moral man? It is for the same reason Abraham went running off to three strangers, bowed, and call them his master! Melchizedek has to be GOD!

Hmmm. I disagree that Melchizedek isn't Jesus for a few reasons:
    1. The Holy Spirit inspires the writing of the Scriptures. Why would God speak like this?.... running down rumors and comparing Jesus to local "folklore"? Unless there is serious significance to Melchizedek, being mentioned by Moses, David then in Hebrews.
    2. If we believe the encounter of Abraham and Melchizedek to be historical fact... then we must believe the things being said about him as well...
    3. If Melchizedek can never die, and a person made a priest after this order is primarily because of its permanency.. that would HAVE to mean Melchizedek still exists somewhere... since he couldn't die... AND he would have to STILL be a priest.... because by definition that's what being a priest after this order means. Your position is permanent because you have no ending.
    4. So then, do we have TWO priests in this permanent priedthood?..... Melchizedek that Abraham encountered and then Jesus???
    5. Either Melchizedek was a human that died and they attributed his myth to Jesus.. in order to help us understand Jesus' priesthood....OR...Melchizedek was Jesus in the Old Testament.
It's more plausible that Melchizedek was Jesus in the Old Testament. Being said to have the exact characteristics..... no beginning or ending.... no father or mother. These are attributes of God. Jesus existed in the beginning. Being the very thing THROUGH WHICH the Earth was created. So then why would it be so hard for it to have been Jesus? Of course not known as Jesus but by the other titles we know him to be..... THE WORD OR LOGOS.
When did Melchizedek cease being on the Earth? Did his priesthood just disappear or end? when there's a change of priesthood there's also a chance of covenant. So then, could it be when Moses and his people accepted God's covenant... this is where the priesthood change happened? Not that Melchizedek ceased being a priest... but being a person of the Godhead manifested in human form like Christ, went back to heaven? And with God dwelling amongst his people he temporary appoints Aaron and his sons to take on the task?
Kinda like when Jesus said if I don't go then the Holy Spirit can't come. Not that God is incapable of being in two places at once... but there is a change in covenant. The Holy Spirit now has a work to do in the Earth.
If we can believe that Enoch was the 1st human taken alive to heaven because he pleased God, and alln of the other incredible things scripture recounts....it's not too extreme to suggest Melchizedek was a manifestation of the LOGOS.... here not yet being the "Son Of God"...having not yet been conceived into Mary.... being only known to them by what he actually is.. THE WORD.
    Just my take on it.

He just doesn’t want to read what it says. Hebrews 7 slashes the Aaronic priesthood for the fact that the priests died, but if Jesus is the perfect priesthood, then Melchizedek must live forever and is said to live in the present tense twice earlier in the chapter.
Also, Galatian 4 tells the allegory of the bond woman and the free woman in comparison to the Jerusalem on earth and the Jerusalem above which is free. I’m t would stand to reason that since Jesus is the priest after Melchizedek, and his covenant is of the Jerusalem above, then Melchizedek was the king of the city Jerusalem above, making him, well, God himself. However, lot of scholarly academic theologians have this false model of God that would come crashing down if Melchizedek is an incarnation of God.

I have a question about this. You say something to the effect that what the author of Hebrews is doing is simply echoing common rumors about Melchizedek, not attempting to lay claim to their validity and in this way, he is like the Son of God. However, if this is the case, then what does that same process say about Christ's priesthood? Is the author trying to tell the readers that not everything that is written about Jesus is true? I'm trying to follow the logic of this... it isn't making sense to me. I'm a bit slow about "getting" things sometimes.
It seems to me that if Jesus tells us to pray, "Your Kingdom come, your will be done on Earth, just as it is in Heaven" it suggests (to me) that Melchizedek would have already been a priest in Heaven before Canaan, thus, he laid the foundation for an Earthly Priesthood, being the first Priest from God to bless mankind (break curses). If that is how it really is, then it is easy for me to see the correlation between Christ's Eternal Priesthood and that of Melchizedek. Because then, Melchizedek and Jesus both came from Heaven. It reminds me of later on when Hebrews tells the readers to "entertain strangers" for by doing so, many have entertained Angels unaware. Very interesting indeed.

Melchizadek is an order. The one with no father or mother was Adam. The one Abraham gave tithe to was Shem, and the last one is our Messiah Yehoshua. I think it was passed down until the order was split into the line of Judah as king and the line of Levi as priest until they were reunited in our Savior. It might have gone like this, Adam, Seth, Enoch, Methuselah, Noah, Shem, Abraham, Jacob and then split or something to that effect. Not one person. An order or line of people, rather.

    *Melchisedec order*
God's interpretation in Hebrews 7 clearly reveals who Melchisedec is to the New testament saints. We don't have to follow the Genealogy of Melchisedec since the writer of Hebrews have started mentioning Melchisedec from Chapter 5 & 6 quoting from Psalms 110. Melchisedec is not a type of Christ but Christ is sworn and ordained after the order of Melchisedec by God in Psalms 110 in eternity. This prophetical ordination concerning Christ is again mentioned in Hebrews chapter 5:5 to the begotten Son of God, which is to say to the Resurrected Christ (Psalms 2:7 & Acts 13:33)
The prophecy of Hebrews 5:6 concerning Christ gets fulfilled in Hebrews 6:19 & 20 as He entered within the eternal veil. Before entering Into the eternal veil, Jesus was the forerunner and in entering, God's eternal Ordination after the order of Melchisedec fulfilled.
Today we've a mediator (Hebrews 8:6)who's with an excellent ministry established in better promises or prophecies (Psalms 110) Law, Levitical priesthood, Animal sacrifices & blood, brings no perfection but God's begotten Son who is after the order of Melchisedec as our High priest, mediator and intercessor(Hebrews 7:25 & 26) is able to save to the uttermost.
Many excellent things are mentioned of Jesus Christ who is after Melchisedec's eternal order.
God's prophecy in Psalms 2:7 and 110:4 was only for Christ alone which the Hebrews writer clearly highlighted in Hebrews 5:4.
Begotten(Resurrected) Son of God is made a High priest after the order of Melchisedec and not the Apostles. Only the glorified Christ our forerunner after He entered into the eternal veil was made a high priest after the order of Melchisedec and not before that while Jesus was in earth (Hebrews 8:1-4).
Hebrews 7:14-17, the scripture talks not only about the evidence, but yet far more evdient: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec ariseth after the power of an endless life another priest Jesus Christ, whom God testifieth after the order of Melchisedec. These verses confirmed that Melchisedec is the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ received no old testament Genealogies ordination since He's after the power of an endless life and after the similitude of Melchisedec The Holy Ghost of God the Testifieth. Hallelujah.
Study from God, about The Begotten Son of God & The order of Melchisedec and not from the theologians and Hebrew Dictionary.
Praying in the Holy Ghost in tongues, God's mysteries will be revealed whose name is to be blessed. Many excellent things are written about Melchisedec in the Holy Scripture.

Hebrews sets out from the start, to answer questions that Jewish believers (or potential believers) had about the Messiah.
The various myths that had developed over the centuries about who the Messiah was and how he would manifest, had become excepted as almost as equal to scriptural truths.
Therefore, the author of the book of Hebrews begins the first few chapters by explaining that Jesus was 'greater than the angels, greater than 'Moses', 'greater than Abraham', and of course 'greater than Melchizedek'.

    • @patrickroden713
      @patrickroden713 2 роки тому +3

Another important point is that in Jewish Law, a man could not hold the office of a priest and be king at the same time, so the fact that Jesus was being preached as both a King and a priest, would have raised some questions, so the book of Hebrews shows us a man who was the 'King' of Salem but also 'priest' of the God most High, showing that it was only those who held the office of the Aaronic priesthood that were barred from holding the position of King.
So, Jesus was the 'King of Israel' and the 'High priest of our confession', and since His priesthood was of 'the order of Melchizedek' it was not breaking Jewish law.
