Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture. With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

Hold button down for glow plugs and don't release start switch all the way till running on the compressor. Stupid set up because crap gets under plastic dash and guys can't read full instructions to start it
Love my factor meals, especially for when I’m working at the firehouse!
*Just wanted to say Thank you Zack for putting these videos out. My grandfather is 70 years old and loves watching your videos.*
Tell him I said thank you!
@@MillennialFarmer I am 70 years old and I ❤ watching your videos! Zach you are a Groovy guy and funny as heck! Stay safe and Merry Christmas to you and your whole family! 🎄❤️
70 here as well
I’m a 74-year-old city girl! I enjoy your videos, your sense of humor, your work ethic, and I’m learning from you! Merry Christmas to all!
72 year old farmer here watchIng for 5 years or so😉
Zack Thank You for all the hard work you and Becky are doing. I am an old farmer and have been watching your videos since 2020. I'm in my early 80's and enjoy the modern farming techniques that you show compared to the way we used to do farming in east central Minnesota 60 plus years ago. Again, Thank You and keep them coming.
You are wise to protect your ears. . . . take it from a retired person who thought he was invincible. Trust me. I used to get laughed at for using ear plugs when I worked summers at Flexi-Coil in Saskatoon using the punch press. Then I worked on my uncle's farm driving the tractor. I had hearing fatigue at the end of the day. I could hear the tractor run all night. Next morning, repeat. Did I mention using hearing protection at the gun range? Now I live with my hearing aids. 😮
Add a mask to that set up please. I'm still coughing bean/ corn dust 10 yrs later.
And safety glasses for a lot of tasks.
Eye abrasions suck, much less anything worse.
Amen to your comments...61 yr old retired guy. Tinnitus and hearing loss are real.
Just wanted to add that it is never too late to save what is left of your hearing. Easy to convince yourself that it is already damaged so too late now. Take it from an older guy. Ear plugs!!!
Done the same thing running heavy equipment most had a cab I would laugh at some of the older guys in a cab wearing earplugs I would say you’re in a cab you sissy and now I can’t hear a elephant fart and my head buried in it’s butt I’ll be doing something or just sitting around my ears will just start ringing or roaring drives me crazy
Merry Christmas Zack and family
It's satisfying to see the cold start of the harvester on the outside
Watching you doing manual labor is jut fine. Reinforces the fact that work doesn't bother me I can sit a watch it all day.
Merry Christmas to you all!
Zach & Becky & Family, Nate, Jim, and all the other “actors”, have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Merry Christmas to all.
Hopefully this finds Jim doing well. Stay warm and take care !!!
I feel your pain with the bees wings ( red dog ) cleaning. I see Larsons have an air compressor and a vacuum that attaches to their skidsteer. Works very well from what I see from their videos. Really enjoy your videos and wish the mini was in more .
One thing you need to do this winter is to replace the muffler on the MM tractor!!
Zach, just want to thank you for sharing a little bit of your life with us. I really enjoy your videos. Merry Christmas to you and your family
When he said cool I was literally thinking cool in my mind haha gotta love when shit like that happens
The Moline still sounds great Zach, arguably the best sounding of the bunch. Merry Christmas and a Happy new year to you Becky and family.
I went from using a backpack blower or small compressor, to the tow type 185cfm for cleaning the combine. It was a game changer. One pro-tip I learned was to get a full faced respirator. Keeps crap out of your eyes and out of your lungs.
"yeah, yeah, yeah! Thunder." Sometimes keeping up on all your tag-lines can be a pain. lol! Merry Christmas to you and the whole crew!!
Thank you for another year of Videos! I like your dry sense of humor. Merry Christmas to you and your family! You are blessed to be able to live and work on a farm.
Zach, watching you motivates me to patrol the grounds of my 3/4’s of an acre and see what needs to be done. Merry Christmas and Happy and Prosperous New Year to you and the family. Becky thanks for being the brains behind the operation. It’s cool you let Zach think he’s in charge, good for his fragile ego
Merry Christmas and Happy New Years to your whole family and friends. Thank you for feeding the World and providing family friendly entertainment. No pressure, right? You're all doing great.
The care you give the farm and all the equipment is great and it shows on everything.
I wish you, your family, and the farm + neighbors a very Merry Christmas! I love the videos!
Merry Christmas Johnson family! Thanks for the video!
How satisfying. The harvest is done and the equiptment is cleaned and put away.
I don't know what's more fun watching the combine cold start or how it starts the shepherd! 😂 Yes and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year too.
And a Happy New Year too.
Hope the family has a wonderful Xmas. Love the videos! Take a fall protection course and buy a harness. Use a paper mask when blowing down the dryer. These can be the gifts you give your family keeping you safe. I know you'll get cranky with me for that comment, but I work in OHS and see a lot of accidents. Talk to the OHS guy/gal at you local big grainery, they will back up my advice. Merry Xmas to all.
Merry Christmas not Xmas
@Albertapraries2023 the X comes from the Chi Rho, which is a symbol for Christ...
@@karlrovey Like that Then there's people who've told me it means the x represents x Jesus
Jesus was born in the beginning of June, read the gospel of Luke.
@@EricCarlson-bz2pt well I won't argue against that where in Luke did you read that

Merry Christmas to Y'all n all a your family!
Wishing you God's Blessings♥️!
Merry Christmas Zack and Merry Christmas to your family too❤️🎄❄️🎁
Merry Christmas Johnson Family! 🎄
I think i agree. I see a portable air compressor in your future....... i do suggest you consider a guard-air "force 5" air lance. It has 2 safety features. The dead man switch, so if for any reason it comes out of your hand, it shuts off. Secondly it has the safety tip on it that reduces the air pressure at the tip of it in case it ended up next to someone's skin when it's pressurized, it won't inject air into their body, which could possibly ruin an otherwise perfect day. However, it still has plenty of cleaning force....... no. I'm not a paid endorser.....
I'll look into that, thanks!
@@MillennialFarmer Always over spec on a compressor as duty cycle is important for one they run "hot" and running like you was open for a long time makes unit run really hard also remember to spec air dryers as cold air and hot compressor = moisture so need to drain tanks often just like Semi's tanks.
Plumb airlines in like up top of on gantry and other places you need air?.
Then wheel compressor to where you want it connect line at bottom then when climbed up there just plug line in rather than the high risks of falling/tripping dragging heavy airlines around!.
We used a air compressor like that to blow off the combines and the quad tracks and edible bean combine
@@MillennialFarmer AW SUCKS WITH CAM GETTING MUD IN IT MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR'S
@@buckrogers2828 An electric one with a tank would be better, that way when the pressure is reached it shuts down until it drops again and also I absolutely hate generator noise but that could be just me. A lot cheaper to buy less money to maintain em, plus if you got solar power you're also saving on fuel.
Merry Christmas 🎄 and happy new year 🎉
Merry Christmas and happy new year
Merry Christmas and happy new year to the family!
They do work great. We use ours everyday to blow off the combines especially the engine area and radiator to help reduce the risk of fires. Good luck and get a pair of welding gloves, that air hose gets hot after awhile
If you love the air “pressure cleaner”, you could setup a some of 1 1/4” piping with switches/couplers on the dryer. Then you setup the compressor, couple to the pipe system. You could setup the system to each bin, easy cleaning the spout…
Merry Christmas Zach and family. May you and your family be safe and healthy. Keep up the great work. Cheers from Star, Idaho.
Merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year to the Johnson family, my favorite You Tube creators out of my 150 subs. Brock is an invaluable resource to have.
Merry Christmas to you and your beautiful family
I would put the bin /leg/pit lights on photo eyes with an Hand Off Auto 3 position selector switch. It just takes one less step out of your night!
Have a happy merry Christmas and have great new year to you and your family and friends
Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Thanks Becky
So grate to see another video from Zach i really enjoy your channel and your videos thank you so much for the hard work you do
Thank you zack for the videos this year,, i hope you , Becky and the Kids have a wonderful Xmas and a Happy New year..
We love the spec. It gives it character.
Merry Christmas to all and a happy new year.
Merry christmas zack to you and entire johnson family
Nice video Zack thanks for sharing. Merry Christmas to you and your family and a healthy New Year
When you do end up buying a compressor, get a good 185cfm model. Not one of those pos copco’s. We have a couple for irrigation blow outs. An 80 something sullair 185 with a deere engine that runs like a top and an almost new sullair 185 with a cat engine. Easially run for 12 straight hours on both units without getting hot.
Merry Christmas to you from Texas. Thanks for a wonderful year of videos
Merry Christmas Zack
Merry Christmas! and Happy New Year 2024!
Merry Christmas ol boy!
Hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas stay safe!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us 😊
Hi Zach--I've been enjoying your videos for some 3 years. The last time I visited a grain farm on the Prairies I was 8 years old. It was my grandfather's farm some 10 miles south of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. That was in 1944 and in looking back it was suffering the poverty of the Great Depression. A "stone boat" pulled by 1 horse was used to haul rocks off the fields. It needed a full team of horses to pull a huge wagon mounded up with hay. Maybe one horse to pull the swather. Maybe two to pull the binder. This created bundles of wheat that were then stacked against each other. Called stooks they awaited a threshing crew to come through. Suffering the great drought of the time, Uncle Frank was lowered down the well to clear out the silt and to dig it deeper. Down about 30 feet I was lowered standing in the bucket. My Mom called the region the "Buckle of the Wheat Belt". Sigh
Merry Christmas!
everyone needs that air compressor for cleaning out grain bins. i am glad to see you grabbing ear plugs. i keep those out in my shop , for anyone that enters my shop. hearing loss is real in us farmers
Big compressor a must have! And the mini mo I’m torn about wanting to see it back to its former glory but dang that looks nice for its age!!
Lots of stuff cleaned up today. Wishing you and your family a blessed and Merry Christmas from Oklahoma.
You rock zack. Keep on keepin on. Thank you for a good video. Merry Christmas

keep up the great videos Zach!
We have one of those for cleaning equipment and around grain bins and warehouses. They are very handy but they have very fine radiator fins and stop up easily.
Be sure to have enough hose to be able to park it well away from where you are cleaning
HAPPY NEW YEAR
Merry Christmas Zach and family and the very best in 2024
Another great video. Can't wait to watch you move snow... We only get a dusting every couple years. Have a Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas 🎄.
Need to find a excavation company with a vac truck. They wash it and suck up the mess at the same time. Plus they hold enough and normally have long enough hose on board to go around the dryer area with out moving.
Couple days before Christmas Day mom got the two sweatshirts in a shirt Christmas Day open my Christmas gift and I love them thank you for so much of your videos and everyday life keep it between the rows
Amazing what you can do, during the day.
Merry Christmas Zack to you and your family 🎄
Merry christmas zach
Merry Christmas to all of you
Like seeing the safety glasses on your face! You're a great example for the masses that follow you. And you're living my dream. My wife always says I missed my true calling and should have been a farmer. I was a successful small business man but didn't have as much fun as you do. I'm snowbirding in Tucson warmth for winters but miss my little Deeres in Minnesota.
Now you just need a bump-cap to protect your head!
