I think i will never get tired of these vlogs. It's a great opportunity for me to catch a glimpse of Canadian streets and records of course 😁. Talking about music outside of the Phil Collins and Genesis circle, you could make an April fools video or something like that about your favourite non Genesis albums. Saw a couple of Radiohead and Sufjan Stevens albums in your other video

We've all been there. You walk into a place, store #500 of "nothing special"...but then you find a treasure trove, and at really great prices. The blood drains from our brains and it's hard to think. Do we have that? Where are we again? What day is it? If we're lucky, we remember to walk out with at least something we want!

In Salisbury England for a trip I picked up an original UK …But Seriously and then a 7 inch single for If Leaving Me Is Easy where the sleeve folds out into a giant poster of Phil, awesome!!

Another great video. I would love a record store dedicated to just Genesis/Phil/Peter! Cheers, Ian

I was curious about that interesting But Seriously cassette at 3:16 so I did a search and found out its a 1989-1990 cassette from Poland released during the times of the People's Republic which I thought was really cool.

Your UA-cam Channel is great! 👍👍👍👍 I like your record shopping videos. I myself, when going to record stores go to the stores with high expectations to find record (s) that I've been looking out for. Though, I can honestly say that I can count on one hand within 1 year, that I find treasures in the record stores. I'm like a kid in a candy store when record shopping. I know that you're a musician. Is the drums one of the instruments that you play? If so, do you play those Genesis songs with Phil's amazing drum fills?

Thanks so much! Yes I play a little drums! I tend not to dabble in Phil or Genesis stuff… too tricky for me. Lol

@EverythingPhilCollins I used to play the drums. I can't play drums anymore due to arthritis and carpal tunnel syndrome. I have played some Phil Collins and Genesis songs. I'm a self taught left handed drummer. I had Gretch drum sets, 2 of them. I had Sabian cymbals as well. My drum heads were the Remo Weatherking Clear Ambassadors. I had single head drums, except for the snare, it was a double head, Maplewood, 5 1/2 × 15, 8 lug. My snare drum was a Noble and Cooley. My kick pedal was a Ludwig Speedking L203. I had 2 Gretch kits, a 5 piece and an 8 piece, both sets had Sabian cymbals. Since I don't play drums anymore, I sold both sets. As for my drum sticks, I played my drums with ProMark 747 and 470, nylon tip. My 8 piece set, had all white drum shells, with my kick drum, having the black head, with the Gretch logo in the center of the kick drum. I seriously am self taught on the drums, learned to play by ear. Yes, learning to play the drums by ear, is difficult, but I did it. Actually, so did Phil Collins. My 5 piece drum set, had beautiful burgundy shells, and that burgundy color just popped.

I reckon Paperlate is a cool
45 if you come across it. I also love the shorter version of Abacab on the 45 single.

yes this is good, I too want to open a record store just like they used to have in the 60s, Myself with my daughter want to do so, And guess we what we want to call it........take one guess......if you look me up and my ten episodes you will know by then......this is good... I miss London..... For this reason I can never go back! Beanos was my favourite record store in Croydon...Gone now unfortunately, I am from Surrey not far from where Genesis Bowie and others began....we are just starting with the Genesis vinyl collection.....the first being the clear vinyl you bought. I would have bought all the Genesis 45's , I have seen the green vinyl available on ebay second hand. You know I have heard some Genesis as a teenager, I did like some of it but I was still too much into heavy metal at the time.. now I really appreciate Genesis and the greatest hits vinyl is 10/10, You have collected some good vinyl there, I bought "Land of Confusion" when it was released on 7" vinyl when i was younger and still living in London. Then a few months back I decided to listen to the first album and that blew me away, You can find it all on my channel aswell .... I think this is only the beginning...

If you ever find a vintage 70s genesis record for a good price 10-20 dollars theres always a catch. I got a copy of Foxtrot for 15 dollars. Although it was on the charisma press and obviously vintage it was a little beat up, notched, and not a gatefold. Next day i found Nursery Cryme and when i got back home realized it was on the Elektra label :/

I love Genesis, and Phil and all related but man you really need to expand. At least a little, you know Genesis helped inspire a whole generation of progressive rock starting in the 80s with a slew of great bands in England (NWOBPR - New Wave of British Progressive rock like Marillion, Pallas, IQ, Pendragon, Twelth Night and more). Then the Neo prog movment in the 90s (Anglagard, Spocks Beard, Dream Theater, Flower Kings) and on and on. You are going to go nuts just collecting one band (hence the let down you mention in the video).

The guy on UA-cam who collects Elton John vinyl has a green vinyl copy of an EJ album like that 3 sides live.
