Actually no, because they're both right-arm bowlers. Mitchell Johnson was hard to face because he was left-arm and rapid. You don't face high quality left arm pace until you get to first class cricket or test matches, so batters aren't used to it. It comes at you from an angle you don't have much experience with.
Don’t forget about Devon Malcolm. He was horrible for batsmen to face because of his unpredictability. They didn’t know if it was going to be at their head or at the stumps. Or even short and wide.
