Virgil passed away today after battling his health issues....he will be fondly remembered...RIP
WTH!! This is scary. For no reason at all. I was Just thinking about him. Thats why I looked him up wow. I haven't even thought about him since he fought TED. The universe does talk to you
F
Pretty frigging ironic DiBiase criticizing Virgil for taking $20 or so from a citizen. He and his son bilked the state of MS out of over $4 million total.
RIP Virgil 🙏🏻
Maybe we should all practice the act of living today in a way that we don't regret tomorrow. Be a little nicer, practice giving forgiveness. You never know who you may never see again.
R.I.P Virgil.
Twenty bucks for an autograph? Everybody's got a price! 🤠
Rest in peace Mike
Man, Ted Dibiase looks way better than most of his contemporaries. A lot of the guys he came up with look NOTHING like they did back in the day. Meanwhile Trillion Dollar Ted here looks exactly as you'd expect he would.
Yeah Ted looks A LOT better now than he did 15 years ago when he was fat.
He didn't do the roids , the coke drink the pills
Virgil's entire career revolved around Ted, after Virgil stopped being a valet and started his wrestling feud with Ted that was literally all he ever did as a wrestler that was meaningful. Once that feud was over there was nowhere else to go with him and he was just used randomly until he seemed to prove that there was just nothing else for him to do. Surprisingly enough while he was face he was incredibly over the entire time.
What would DDP do if he was on this situation? .....he would help him out!
Ted says he never had a problem with Virgil, but he ripped him pretty good here 😂
Agreed. Backhanded comments 🤦🏻♂️
Ted seems to be giving him the benefit of the doubt. Mike (Virgil) had an awful lot of opportunities and just never seemed to capitalize on it.
I remember Mike J. being on CWA/Memphis wrestling in the mid 1980s as "Soul Train Jones". He was an over baby face then. Then I see him with DiBiase in the WWF and I'm like " Hold up!!!......"
This sounds like a Million Dollar Man heel promo on Virgil, its so back handed!
Mike Jones (Virgil) is currently struggling with colon cancer. He has also been diagnosed with dementia. I would be very surprised if he ever appeared at another autograph signing.
I saw a picture of him at one in the last few weeks. He looks really skinny.
@@jonathanorr44 Then he's just hanging on by a thread. After he was released from WCW in 2000, he began to stagnate and decline.
Virgil, we're rooting for you! We appreciate all your work!
Interfacing with cerebrally challenged folks CAN be a hurdle. However I hate when schisms develop with people but I do pray for "Virgil"
I seem to be in the minority here but the time I met Virgil he was the exact opposite of the reputation he has online. He was super nice to us, it's unfortunate hearing about his struggles
I am only going to say I this I find it REAL interesting talking about moral and ethics knowing what was going in THAT household (sons).
I believe it was February of 1990, I went to see a house show in Syracuse NY. Main event was Warrior/Bravo. The undercard had Dibiase vs. Jake the Snake.
After the matches we went to the basement and waited for the wrestlers to get autographs. There was a limo waiting as well. First wrestler that came out was Dibiase with Virgil. I assumed he was going to get in the limo, but nope. They headed over to a sedan and Dibiase drove! I asked my dad why the Million Dollar Man didn't get in the limo and that's when he explained wrestling to me!
That's my, "how kayfabe was destroyed for me" story.
Virgil said that they did drive in limos and flew first class all over the world, and had meals and drinks paid for and would even pay for other wrestlers food. I knew he was waffling. Theres no way vince would give an open chequebook to anyone
Anything in front of the fans where they would see the million dollar man Vince didn’t let him drive in anything but a limo. So I doubt that whole kayfabe story
Welp, its 100% accurate. Apparently, what you believed to be true, wasn't true after all. @@VClll
@@JalandharSherelol
I remember “The Million Dollar Man” Ted Dibiase in WWF then.
I know he was a heel and we were suppose to hate him. But I really enjoyed watching him wrestle and promos
Poor Virgil being publicly called a dumb ass
You mean you know mean you know mean
Guy has a degree in mathematics. You'd think he'd have been smarter managing money. Kind of hard to argue Ted's point.
@@jaythor70 he has dementia
@@jaythor70 good academics and general intelligence/common sense don't always go together though, a girl I was in school with got the prize for best student, as far as I'm aware straight A's in everything, yet she was surprisingly thick, she just had a brilliant memory for remembering how to do what she was taught
@@drexlspivey5828 I agree that common sense (Wisdom) is different from book smarts (Intelligence), but this is what he was trained to do. If he was a nuclear engineer, and caused a meltdown, he would be criticized for being inept. Same thing on a smaller scale.
Virgil says you now owe him $35.00 for watching this video about him.
faq! what's his Venmo?
Ha!
With inflation make it $50.00.
Had a 20.00 autograph situation 20 years ago at the Great Lakes mall in mentor Ohio . I talked to him for a second , asks if I want an autograph, then asks for 20.00. In the politest way possible I declined lol it was a once in a lifetime situation I will never forget .
Be thankful he only tried to hustle you for 20.00. He's usually trying for at least 35.00.
Wow! Now I’m kinda proud I got an autographed Polaroid with him at my hometown Walmart in 1995 for only five bucks. Not sure where that pic went.
@@billjames1556 this was years ago . He probably made some cost of living adjustments factoring in inflation hahahaha
@@brianrieger8427 he gave you the playa prices lol I wonder if he’s ever given an autograph for free …
@@billjames1556 with the bad inflation he'd up it to $50.00 now if he was able to.
Virgil might not have been the brightest bulb in the pack, but he was certainly more intelligent than Ahmed Johnson. LOL
My 6 old nephew is smarter than Ahmed Johnson
Virgil got me with his $20 scheme a few years back. I used to see him once a week. I haven't seen him in months. 2 festivals are happening back to back weekends here so he should pop up at one of them.
They gave Virgil alot of chances and he just never got better. His first program with Ted went on for month after month. It was no good but they just would not give up on it.
Then Virgil did undercard matches against all kinds of guys. Then there was that weird moment in 1992 when they spotlighted him in title matches on TV against Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels. But then nothing after that. They seemed to use him for alot of European tours and to fill out house shows or to either put over new guys or job out guys that were done in the WWE.
They finally dumped him in 1994, but I think that was more about the WWE running a reduced schedule of shows than him getting worse.
The fact that he couldn't even get over when paired with Piper pretty much says it all. He lacked absolutely everything, wether it was in-ring skills, mic skills, charisma. He really worked best as a non-talking manager/servant
But i mean that was already obvious before when he was in Memphis. Jarrett tried to push him so hard, including a 17 second victory over Sid, putting the AWA International Championship on him, have him face off with Nick Bockwinkel and nothing worked, the crowd just never cared.
He was good for try out matches and pairings with jobbers vs tag teams... but not believable as a threat to anyone bigger than Damian Demento
@@wbmeprograms4505 Damien Demento... now there is a name I have not heard for some time. They should have put him in a tag-team with Max Moon for worst gimmicks ever.
Or Friar Ferguson
He's right, Virgil had the look but not the ring skill or mic skill. His matches were terrible, he didn't know how to throw punches or take bumps. It was like when WCW had Dennis Rodman in the ring, basically amateur hour.
Virgil made Ted the great heel he is.
Like Batman without Robin, like Michael Jordan with Scottie Pippen, etc.
Met him years ago at a NYC con on 34TH street he was seated across from Rowdy Piper was very friendly and I could tell he was a little pushy but I did end up getting a signed picture and a picture with him but if he did that to the little kid that's bad!!
His last name is Jones, it's widely known.
Why not say it?
Mike Jones.
I met Virgil last year. He was a cool dude.
I don't like ted saying he wasn't that bright but nice he probably was thinking about other things aside from Ted
you might want to hook him up with DDP. He managed to help Jake and Scott.
Virgil was pretty slimy pushing me and my brother to the ATM at a signing and was bringing Ted in on it unknowingly to Ted. We were young dudes and didn't have a lot of money and never forgot the experience. Couldn't even just talk and meet him without it being a money push.
Virgil used to tell people he was a teacher?
Feel sorry for Virgil. Part of the issue was that many of the black wrestlers were not paid the same as the white wrestlers. Kamala (R.I.P.) said that Hulk Hogan got 250k for their wrestlemania match & he got 13k. That ridiculous! I have heard the same stories from other black wrestlers. Of course, big stars like the Rock and others were paid significantly more money. That is because they made money for Vince McMahon.
You know to ted is like bro to russo.
Ted may be misremembering because he and Virgil *absolutely* did an on and off 8-month program together from WM VIII on March 24, 1991 to Survivor Series Showdown 1991 on November 24, 1991. They wrestled on tv and in House Shows like dozens of times. They even did tag matches with IRS teaming with Ted against Virgil and Roddy Piper. There was even a couple tags where IRS and Ted beat Virgil and Bret Hart. Virgil beat MDM at WM VII via count-out and pinned Ted at SummerSlam 1991 winning the Million Dollar Championship in the process. They had their blow-off then at Survivor Series Showdown where Ted won the belt back. So, evidently Virgil had enough to feud with Ted for most of 1991...
Ted does his best to criticize and undermine others value.
Rip Virgil
Mike "Soul Train" Jones. Who? Mike Jooooones!!
Virgil was really over when he won the Million-Dollar Championship. But he was really bad in the ring and they couldn't go much further with it than they did.
It was okay, but imagine if a more talented guy had played Virgil?
It's a crying shame "Vincent" wasn't inducted into the Hall of Fame with the nWo. I'm sure someone got shitcanned because of that.
He didn’t say Virgil’s last name because he knows the host was going to say WHO????😂😂😂😂
Ouch Ted is trying so hard to be kind to the dude here but basically is saying in the kindest possible way that he was stupid. And it’s harsh to a degree to have to acknowledge that being the case but it’s also the harsh reality of why things worked out the way they did. Stinks for the dude because outside of the things he did with Ted there was really nothing of note in wrestling for him and sadder still with the struggles he’s facing now. But Ted really does all he can to be kind but honest.
Virgil was and still is so hot!
Say "kinda like" again - I dare you, I double-dare you!!
Virgil has a degree in mathematics! Weird!
Michael Jones. 🤷🏾♂️
Did he say he first name I guess is Mike? Put some respect on Mike Jones name Ted!!!
Put some respect on his name? Is he a man a Christmas tree?

Said in an interview with Hannibal that he has "some kind of cancer" in his SHOULDER
@@user-we3me3dg1y that's a bingo!
Try English next time
@@TL2354 I believe he was actually patronizing Virgil, mocking him. "He got, he got", etc.
On the internet, you see on various sites it says that Virgil gradated from college with a Bachelors degree in mathematics. If this is true, he has to be bright, in no way dumb. Then you read about him being a jerk panhandling basically bothering people to give him money for a picture of himself. Then I see other things on internet which say he is a really nice guy, etc.
In this day and age with the internet, it is hard to know the real truth about people. All people. Ted knew Mike (Virgil) and he says he was not very smart. Like he has a low IQ. I would think to believe Ted over other internet sources, yet again, if Mike (Virgil) really had a Bachelors degree in mathematics he is not a dumb person. Maybe he head a bad head injury at one point or mental illness. I don't know.
Not sure why Ted said that Mike is not bright, at all. Not a sharp guy? He didn't have to say that. Especially since Mike was not all that well, and he soon afterwards died. And I like Ted Dibiase seems like a great fellow. Doesn't make sense he speaks badly about Mike (Virgil) in that menner here. Unnecessary.
Ted was a greet heel. One of the best ever. I watched pro wrestling since the mid 1970s, to me Roddy Piper and Bobby Heenan are the best most entertaining heels I ever saw, But Ted Dibiase, my God very close to them. They had more air time and experience. Ted maybe could have even topped them, he was that good, extremely entertaining to watch as a really rich a__hole. Ted was a better in ring wrestler/performer than Roddy Piper - and better than Heenan, of course, too. I give him that. He was a great wrestler/performer battling it out in the ring
I was there him and Jackie Gayda looked horrible. Very disturbing.
That's terrible that Virgil charged a little kid after he got an autograph from him.
That's really messed up, Virgil.
"Offered" only to finesse him and his dad for 20 USD.
20 was the kids discount. He told him to get his dad so he could charge him full price.
What's more Terrible is that Hannibal TV Dumped you !

That's the story how he got hired: He unloaded his dick on Patterson's desk and got the job.
Pat Patterson would say so..
Ted Dibiasi will always be a bad guy to me
i wasn't a fan of virgil at any point in his career... but we should probably be a little kinder to those suffering grave cognitive decline.
They worked that closely and he knows next to nothing about him. "I think he's from," then wants kudos for offering a care recommendation. Tells you all you need to know about this guy.
WWE and Ted should have been there for Virgil in the end. "Mike isn't the brightest guy" but Ted u are soo bright stealing from taxpayers.
I dont understand, why all these sports athletes die young.
I know pizza eating couch potatoes who live longer... Oh well must be karma... Or shit loads of steroids and 80s drugs!
I hope that $5 you donated to Virgil's gofundme to help with his funeral expenses does't cause you to have to file bankruptcy DiBiase! Some more of your Christian values just like when you scammed the state of Mississippi for millions of dollars. You will get your karma.
Yeah Ted. Turn to religion for the next big payday.
Ted always burying virfil lol
The lights are on but nobody's home lmao.
Mike jones
At least he didn’t steal welfare money from the state of Missouri
He would of stole the whole states if he was mentally sharp
What happened?

Shots fired!
Neither did Ted
DiBiase won't say his last name? It's not exactly a secret, and no, Mike Jones didn't have cancer.
Virgil pretty much peaked as Soultrain Jones.
