Better check out Shadow Of Intent - Malediction, amazing Symphonic Deathcore sound that overall shows how shadow of intent are as a band, one of my favourite songs of all time and would recommend anybody to check out Malediction
I really wish they would drop those lame ass partial clean vocals. That gimmick has been done to death and they sound like shit. I wish they would go all the way clean or not at all.

@@thefilmeffect6089 The cleans and the symphonic parts are what push this band beyond, in my opinion. Well, that and the amazing guitar work. Everything these guys add to their music contributes to them actually being awesome. Imagine they removed the more technical guitar parts, the symphonic parts, the cleans. Then they would just be another generic Deathcore band with an amazing vocalist and we all know we've had more than enough of those in the past. I think it's time the Deathcore genre pushes its boundaries a bit and actually adds more musical elements instead of just playing the first 5 frets on the lowest string. Give me good cleans and hslf-cleans, good symphonic/keyboard parts and guitarists, that can actually use every fret on every string of their guitar in addition to the br00tal slamming Deathcore. It's beautiful just like that.

Fun fact about Shadow of Intent: Their first two albums, as well as the name of the band itself, is all a reference to the Halo franchise. Their first album, Primordial, is about the Forerunner-Flood War, while their second album, Reclaimer, is about the Human-Covenent War, and the Flood's involvement in the war. The band's name itself is a reference to a Covenent ship of the same name.
Check out their song “The Catacombs” feat. Jason Evans (vocalist of Ingested) and Dickie Allen (vocalist of Infant Annihilator).
Also if you didn’t catch it, their music is about Halo, and if I remember correctly “the heretic” is the nickname the Covenant give to the Master Chief.
Actually the Arbiter was named The Heretic in the first mission of Halo 2.

All right! This is my first time hearing Shadow of Intent as well and I also didn’t know what the word Heretic means and even I was pronouncing this word differently but whatever! Wow! What a growl and scream by this vocalist along with the drumming, guitar shredding, and the piano playing of course! Reminds me those other heavy metal bands that are present today and yes, sensory overload indeed! Also, that’s true what you said there of them having this symphony along wi5 some harsh vocals! Looking forward to more Shadow of Intent reactions like this one in the near future and I do mean in the near future so I hope to God you do just that, Alex Hefner! In the meantime, I’m going to check out more of this symphonic metal from these guys and just listen to them no matter what I’m doing! Keep on rocking, bro!🎸🎸🎸

The best part of that video is during the break down where you knew what you were hearing was insane but could not put it into words. Those guys are next level. Much love to you and yours.
Fun fact about the band: Their name is based off a ship in the Halo video game franchise. This song is also possibly a reference to a few things in Halo: the Artiber, who was branded a heretic or the group in the game that are called Heretics. It's most likely to be based off the Artiber, one of the protagonists, if that's what it's referencing.
Also, Ben Duerr, the vocalist, did the part from 3:18 - 3:41 (in the original video, not Alex's video) in one take IIRC. Which is insane as it requires using different techniques consistently.

Fuck yes! I feel like a REALLY overlooked song by them is "The Mausoleum of Liars". It's got some seriously cool parts between the vocals and blast beats that compliment each other, 2 INSANE guitar solos's, some extremely pretty symphony type choir paired with piano, and to top it all off a beautiful, powerful outro that makes you feel 10 feet tall. It's definitely worth a listen, and comes from the same album as this song! Shadow of Intent is fucking bonkers!

This band was absolutely AMAZING when I saw them live in January
So the guitarist writes the guitar parts for this band and a band called Currents and is phenomenal as you can see. With Currents newest record they have become one of if not my fav band. Highly recommend you listen to any song of their newest record.
