I like how honest the playthrough is. You can tell the double bass isn't "too" perfect. And the bursts of double bass sometimes he misses a note at the end, so it's not just computer generated. His cymbal work is the highlight for me and he's a very nice dude from experience, and love to see him smile on stage in person! Go Bryce!
Something interesting about Bryce that makes him that much more interesting, is, when Bryce was first auditioning for SOI, he couldn't even play their songs. He didn't have the technical skill, and he couldn't play fast enough. In less than a year, he caught up to their former drummer and started playing with the band on tour, and by the time Shadow of Intent was creating their fourth album, which is what this song is off of, Bryce was an official member and in charge of all the drumming. Between songs like this and SOI's newest single "Flying the Black Flag", which I think has Bryce's most impressive performance yet, you can really see how far he's come, especially if you look further back to before he was in the band. Bryce is a fucking champ, and an awesome and wholesome dude.
Check out blood in the sands of time, 03:57 into the song until the end. That explosion is one the best things I've ever heard, saw it live and it blew my socks off, and I ain't got legs! No but in all seriousness, the best piece of live music I've ever heard. @@ratenfantguerre-objectifma3861
Please check out Spencer Prewett and his playthrough of the Archspire song "Lucid" the video is old but I'd still love to see and hear your thoughts on it. I've been mind blown for years since first seeing it.
Happiest drummer in metal.
With Ingo S!
Shadow of intent is dope asf. They did a collaboration with Trevor from the black dahlia murder. Barren and breathless macrocosm.
That’s my favorite song
Bryce is joyful passion personified
He has been known as the happy drummer. Always smiling
One of the best! So awesome ! Never heard of them before, thanks for letting us see.

You’ve gotta watch his playthrough of intensified genocide. Arguably the best song on their most recent album Elegy. It’s relentless
Holy moly giberagew! That guy is talented!
Bryce Butler is a awesome awesome drummer player with incredible control it's crazy 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸😃😃💪💪💪👍👍👍👍🥁🥁🥁🔥🔥🔥🔥
He needs to sing and play harmonica while playing this
LOL FIRST TIME LISTENING TO THIS DRUMMER, INSANE SPEED
ACD DARWIN pedal custom builder out of Austria!

Bryce Butler and Anthony Barone are my 2 fav. drummers so far
I think WOW!
I love shadow of intent. After they put out an album often times they will put out an instrumental version soon after. I always buy both versions.
Holy crap..INSANE!!!!
I am a simple man: when I hear a double bass, have my upvote^^
I hate that it's so easy to listen to this kid is insanely good
I also highly recommend checking out their previous drummer's playthrough of the song 'Melancholy', amazing stuff
Woooooooopop
Every stroke he takes he looks surprised he got it right 😂
that the music I like
A lot of groove on his blast beat at the ride
Everybody plays blast beats nowadays, but his ones sound good as hell
