Seen many belts & associated components fail well within the max replacement interval. Regardless of mileage or what the belt looks like the general advice with timing belts is to replace at least the belt at 5 years of age. Nice touch using the microscope it may or may not aid in the decision
Every X year advice has no basis for this vehicle.(except that's what the workshops want and therefore spread FUD) The belt on this vehicle has no age limit. This is based on material science. The materials used on this belt do not age like the materials used 20 years ago 😅
Hi, how about a video on changing the vw up thermostat? My Up intermitently overheats. Coolant level is ok. Only overheats occasionally. Im thinking a sticking thermostat.
