What I loved about Silver Age DC and Marvel was that each one was best depending on what mood I was in; if I wanted gritier then Marvel, if I wanted a lighter adventure then DC was the way to go. Both great for what it was they did best.As for the glossy reprints, while I like the vivid colors, I do really like the pulp paper originals; they had a warmth and texture that adds to the work. And back when these books came out, as a kid, they actually were pretty bright despite how faded many look all these decades later. Oh, any chance of doing some Dell comics? The pre-Gold Key split ones were particularly good(especially the painted covers). As for Gold Key, they were my sci fi go to, with their Star Trek and Space Family Robbinson issues being particularly loved.
