I absolutely love the Chameleon Geckos I’ve seen many videos of them throughout the years and I’m so tempted to get one. They remind me of mini leachie as well so cute.
Mini leachies that cannot take off your finger if they get pi$$eD
@@SupremeGecko Very True.
Well In love with the species today when I went to repticon. Going back tomorrow to get him (:
@@sebastiangraham001 Awesome
Great video, Wally! Nice to see that you're still going strong in the hobby! My favorite accessible species is definitely Pristurus carteri (or any other Pristurus species), they are soo much fun to observe and incredibly interesting!
I couldn't agree more! Most diurnal species!
@@SupremeGecko Yes! I also love my Quedenfeldtia, but they are extremely rare in Europe and even more exclusive in America
I'm still having trouble locating the scorpion tailed geckos. Any tips on where to find breeders?
I agree with your list. I would like to add an honorable mention of stenodactylus species. The wheel who knows made me lol
:) Consider it added! :)
Great video Wally! Really appreciate your channel.
Thank you TG. I appreciate everyone watching!
Love the fun visuals in this video!
Thank you very much. I try to inform a bit, education a bit, and try to make people smile a bit too :)
Excellent Video once again Wally
Thank you my friend.
Another great, informative video! Thank you.
Thank YOU
I really appreciate this video! Some very cute species on this list!
Thank you so very much for watching.
I freaking love Viper Geckos
I do too Master.
Great video as well
Thank you Bob
I've been waiting for a video like this from you 😄 Poor Poppyseed!
Reply
Thank you Felicia for your patience. I hope you enjoyed the video.
Should I ever get any gecko, it would probably one of a species from this list...
Love those criteria! Small is great!
Small is the new large :) Thanks P 'n' G.
I love this guy's videos. He's funny and he doesn't take things too seriously. Good light hearted educational content
Thank you so very much. I appreciate that. Exactly what we strive for.
I think my parents have the #2. It runs a round the house in Florida. They found it 3 days ago and it climes on my dads foot. It climes on the couch.
Nice. Congratulations.
Hey Supreme Gecko, I love what you do. I was curious what are the smallest but SLOWEST mourning gecko sized mourning gecko. I dont want to handle often, but i also dont want to fear losing them if i have them out
Hi, I think you messaged me on another social media platform, correct? Well, I would say there are a number of small geckos like this. While crested gecko as a bit larger than mourning geckos, they are easily handlable. Paroedura picta are just a bit larger and very handleable too.
@@SupremeGecko Im currently keeping gargs which I love, but looking to go truly tiny, somthing comfortable in a 18/18/18. I'm unsure if what I'm after even exists. Ive heard Sphaerodactylus argus are relatively slower than other micros their size. Does this feel at least somewhat true? Are you working with them? Not looking to chill and hang out with them, just looking for chances to take photos every now and again without the fear of them darting in an unmanageable way. I really appreciate the response
thankyou very much I've just tried to start getting lizard and i want to start small this video helped alot
Great. Thanks for watching.
ashy and island least geckos are some of my absolute favs! i havent thought about getting any reptile but after seeing some of the sphaerodactylus species i definitely am considering it
Love the Sphaeros!
Love the spin the wheel
I thought it went a little long but it was fun to put together. Thanks
Not only cooler, but so darn cute
Yes!!!! ;)
the only time my leopard gecko looked at the screen was when you said by by leopardgecko
:) That is cute!!!
Those chameleon geckos were so cute! I’ve never seen one of those before lol Smallest guy I have is a leopard gecko 🙂
They really are. Way underrated.
Hello great video information Wally
Hi Moon. Thank you so much.
You really have levelled up your presentation style and editing. Good work there I've been enjoying being one of your subscribers, hope you keep at it.
Well thank you so much Joshua. Although, looking back at some of my older ones, I'm not sure if it was too difficult to make them better :) But I know what you mean and appreciate that a lot.
@@SupremeGecko keep at it, the more coherent and decent content out there the better; especially for the curious beginners. No insult there intended I was just complimenting the format that your work has been taking on
@@joshuacresswell7673 Oh, NONE taken. I was just reflecting on just how bad I feel the technology was, and how stiff and ridged I felt I was. I think things are always worse in your own mind than others. Thank you for the kind words.
I’m going to have to blame you for my new found love (and interest in more research about) chameleon geckos. 😂
:) Broad shoulders :) This is cool and what an amazing gecko!
Time to watch the video 😄
Thanks JP. I'm behind but cannot wait to watch your latest tomorrow.
Christal says Poppyseed is better than all those!
Don't show this to Christal!!!
Fantastic Video guys. Don't forget Lygodactylus Conraui! or Dwarf Camaroon Geckos. They are tropical, arboreal, colorful, active during the day, and Brimming with personality! And you can keep them in a compact 12x12x12 enclosure. Absolute JOY to care for. =)
I like the Lygos. I would have added L. kimhowelli but they (and L. conraui) are not as accecssable as the others on the list. And, a bit of a trick to keep them contained in their enclosures.
Totally knew your number 1!
I am sure the second you saw the title :)
@@SupremeGecko you know it!
Hey there wally! Re: smaller gecko species, you've done a few Coleonyx videos in the past focusing on one species at a time; do you think one day you could do one video introducing briefly the different Coleonyx species in comparison with each others? (You could include links to direct people to your individual Coleonyx videos through the process!)
I think this would be a great idea. Thanks.
I have a crested gekco! those I'm very interested in Eurys!
Thanks Cassie
Thanks so much for this video! My leopard gecko was in a twenty long but now that he's a year old I'm upgrading him to a custom enclosure and I'm looking for a little guy to fill the twenty
Thank YOU! And any of these terrestrials would do great in that 20L
Thank you Wally and yes I knew picta is your favorite.
....... when you first saw the title, I am sure :)
@@SupremeGecko yep
please do a video on top 5 micro geckos!!
Sounds like a great video topic. What are YOUR top 5?
I’m running emergency errands but watching in Walmart!
EVERYTHING is better at Walmart. Right?!?!
Dune geckos? And chameleon geckos are so expensive but I do want them.
I think the chameleon geckos' price has come down quite a bit in the last 5 years or so with more and more people breeding them.
Great video as always. That was not a ball python that was a boa that you showed.
Ugh!!! I grabbed the wrong photo. Thank you Chantal.
Scorpion tailed geckos have become some what more available in recent years, I got a pair of pacific blue tail skinks (Emoia caeruleocauda) yesterday, hopefully I can get them to breed and get a captive population going
Hi Kevin. I agree. And I hope they become more and more popular. Congrats on the skinks and good luck!
I'm still having trouble locating the scorpion tailed geckos. Any tips on where to find breeders?
Also, love your nail polish. Great job.
You know how hard it was to find the color that matched my ensemble ?
@@SupremeGecko I'm betting Krystal had something to do with it! HAHAHAH
@@isobuddies As she is the new CEO, I get all marketing direction from up on top.
@@isobuddies Not Christal's colors... but they are Nanette's ;)
This video is a long time coming. I hope you enjoy.
.
I Definitely enjoyed the video.
Thank you for the videoand information! My next gecko actually it a chameleon gecko! Now I'm interested in the Pictas gecko. I'll do more research for them as well! 😀
I certainly enjoy both geckos. Make sure you watch our playlist for the Pareodura picta. Thanks for watching.
@@SupremeGecko Thank you! I have and been taking notes! Thank you!
Ok you know What? The wheel part got a chuckle from me
Outstanding! Thank you. I thought it was fun but when I added it, I thought it went a bit long. Thank you so much for letting me know!
@@SupremeGecko yeah anytime
Vipers are very cute - but Pictus are my favorite
You TOO?!?!?
Looks like Wally is on Nanettes account again. Ha
@@frankdughtank8327 Looks like it but I have NO idea what her password is. Christal and Nanette are the only two that have that privileged info.
@@SupremeGecko the password is definitely Waffles lol.
I have a Eurydactylode Agricolae Male “ Juno” , He’s very goofy,crawling around His Vivarium, both day and night;
I also have a Paroedura Bastardi Male- (Paroedura like the featured Pictus Gecko) named “Bourno” who likes to crawl out at night. both remind Me of Reptile equivolents of Mice or Shrews running around and hunting.
Congrats on your wonderful geckos. Funny, I have an abundance of female P. bastardi.
How is picta’s behavior? Are they hide all the time or come out once in a while?
They are about as social as any gecko we have.
I hadn’t heard of the chameleon gecko I want them now!!!
Oh you would LOVE them.
@@SupremeGecko I’ll have to get some eventually!!!
Emily they’re awesome Little things I’m tempted to get some as well
@@emilywilson3963 I wish I had some available. I'm probably 2 years out :(
@@SupremeGecko that’s ok I’m probably that far out from getting them anyways!
hi, i plan to get Lygodactylus conraui gecko and i wonder if you have some opinion or even heard of them?
I HAVE heard of then AND kept them years ago. Great gecko. Make sure of 2 major things (and several minor)- #1 Escape proof enclosure #2 Small food to feed every day. Best of luck and keep me posted.
When are you going to make a Tokay gecko video!? :)
Thank you for asking. I do videos on geckos I've kept, and had recent success with.
The last one was so predictable knowing you lol. I’m surprised mourning geckos weren’t on the list as well.
Picta- That was a prize for everyone that watches the channel (a free pick so to speak). I know, it was extremely hard to pick 5 but, mournings were like 6 or 7 on my initial list. I left them out of the top because they can be a bit escapee.
@@SupremeGecko I definitely find a few escaped individuals every so often.
@@frankdughtank8327 I wrap my enclosures with shrink wrap!
you missed the hole Lygodactylus family a lot of great and small geckos one of the most known is electric blue day gecko but there is more
Great geckos. I feel they are a bit ++ for the average keeper, but definitely in MY top 5!
Sir, what is the outgroup of the Altiphylax stoliczkai gecko?
Please help me to complete my dissertation 🙏🙏🙏🙏 I can't find outgroup of Gekkonidae Altiphylax stoliczkai. Please help me sir🙏
This videos focused on common, in the hobby geckos. Altiphylax stoliczkai is a very obscure gecko. I wish I had more to share.
In my experience banded geckos are really picky and don’t like being handled
Seth, picky about what? To clarify, the criteria was small, accessible, and easy to care for. Handleability is a ++ for a couple geckos on the list.
I love small geckos
Me too. My favs.
Mourning gecko should be on the list too
Changing the video and title now.... My Top SIX small geckos ;)
@@SupremeGecko yes!!!
If you say ballpython don’t show a picture of a boa constrictor
Noooo!! I used the wrong photo. Thank you so much for pointing that out :)
My pictus gecko hates me lol
Why? :)
I don't know, I think I spooked her as a baby and now she has it burned into her mind that I am dangerous. She is very nocturnal and secretive.
Speckles is the og.
I miss Speckles :( Thanks for watching
Ok. I NEED dinosaurr/ chameleon geckos. Period.
Agreed.
Yup. :)
I think Mourning Geckos, Microgeckos, Jaragua Geckos, and Hemidactylus maculatus are small.
Anyways here are all small geckos I know
Cape Dwarf Gecko
H. maculatus
Jaragua Gecko
Mourning Gecko
Microgecko
Amazon Pygmy Gecko
Mediterranean Gecko
L. williamsi
Neon Day Gecko
Brazillian Pygmy Gecko
Chameleon Gecko
Viper Geckos
Banded Geckos
Great list of geckos. To make the top 5 though, do they follow the criteria I set in the video?
@@SupremeGecko Thanks, I'm not sure because some of them are not common for sale, but Mourning Geckos and Neon Day Geckos are quite affordable..
@@PlecsExotics3 they are
These aren't small geckos at all dude
These are medium sized. When I hear small geckos I think, mourning, Cameroon dwarf etc.
C'mon dude
I would consider them small (compared to the large geckos) but you have a good point that they are not 'micro' geckos. There really is no definition.
