This feels like y'all took the HBomberguy video and made a Cliffsnotes version of it
probably more likely that they had the same idea around the same time
Max Newland hbomberguy's video came out months ago, no way this video took that long
But Polygon's Dragon's Layer video came out a month before hmbomberguy's Halcyon video, so it seems totally plausible they're just continuing with Rick Dyer stuff.
The cool thing about living on a planet with 9 billion people is sometimes two people have the same idea. Also unless you are a video producer that puts the kind of production in that Polygon does I don't think you have a leg to stand on with that claim of how long a video takes to make

This is just a less interesting and less in-depth version of HBomberGuys video on Rick Dyer and the Halcyon. Polygon I love you guys but you’re better than this.
I wouldnt really call this 'copying' hbomberguy, but they definitely saw the video and picked the topic off it. Two people can make a video on the same topic, yes, but with such an obscure topic like this there's no way they thought of this before seeing hbomberguy talk about it
They've already talked about Dragon's Lair, which was created by the same guy, so it seems totally plausible that they just continued from there.
