I didn't really think OJ would be less calories than orange liquor so I googled it. I was wrong, heh. google says triple sec is 227 calories for an oz (wow) but curaco and contreau are much less, in the 70-80 calorie range. fresh squeezed orange juice is only 13 calories for an oz, wow
Hi- this margarita is "skinny" because I left out the high-calorie liqueur. It's ok to add a little agave in a skinny margarita, it will still be skinny.
Just did one with 1.5 oz Tequila, 1 lime, 1 Mandarine orange w/ice. Really good. Didn't miss the agave syrup at all.

It’s skinny because it doesn’t have sweet n sour or triple sec like a traditional margarita usually has
