  • Today on Booze On The Rocks I show you how to make the Cadillac Margarita. This cocktail is one of those Grand Marnier cocktails that deliver. The Cadillac is synonyms with luxury and so is the Cadillac Margarita. Requiring top shelf ingredients its what you drank when you wanted to show off. Now with the ever larger increase in premium tequilas you have so many ways to make it. But it must include Grand Marnier. Its one of those Grand Marnier cocktails that just works in all the right ways. Try it and tell me what you think..

    I will try this one, it sounds like a tasty drink. Margaritas are my cocktail of choice. My personal preference is Patron and Patron Citronge instead of the Grand Marnier, with everything shaken together rather than have the orange liqueur floated on top. I also like to drop a half pinch of salt into the mix before shaking instead of salting the rim of the glass. Funny how we develop such particulars over the years. Thanks for sharing this one!

    Thanks for the video.
    FWIW my favorite margarita remains one made with a quality blanco tequila shaken with lime juice and agave syrup or a blend of agave syrup and an orange liquor, the type of orange liquor dependent on what brand of tequila is used (but usually orange curacao). I find reposado tequilas lack the fermented agave flavor of blancos that blends so well with lime juice while Grand Marnier does not tend to blend as well with the base flavor of tequila as the Pierre Ferrand Orange Curacao. That's what is so great about a Margarita. There are so many great recipes for one to choose from!

    • @boozeontherocks
      @boozeontherocks  3 роки тому

      In a clean jar with a seal able lid, add you liqueur and then add equal parts peach and raspberry. For the fruit I would say check it one a day to see if the flavor is where you want it. If so fines strain it into a clean bottle and use. You should be able to do the infusion in 3-5 days. One think to note is that the color will change and that the distiller may have added sugar or a sweetening agent. Test a small amount and see where you wind up on the scale. And let me know how it turns out for you.
