Love these margs. Same recipe we use at restaurants for our top dollar margs. Simple syrup - 1-1.5cup sugar to 1/3-1 cup boiling water depending on how thick you want it. We use Grand Marnier instead of Cointreau then for flavor add real fresh squeezed fruit juice of whatever you want.
Thanks! My wife and I decided to make our first margaritas from scratch and this video was perfect before heading into bevmo. Thank you! They turned out perfect, followed with same instructions and ingredients 👌👏👏👏
More drink vids!! 😁 I never know what to order at a bar and these vids really show some cool drinks! also this vid was hilarious haha and you literally can do everything in the kitchen!
Im trying this out today, ive been bartending for years and have recieved much flack for the "purists" who go by the IBB spec and swear away any added simple or agave to the drinks... to them i say, life is about adventure! Im glad i found your channel, ill be back with a review!
This made me think of my mom! She's a huge Jimmy Buffett fan, she finished nursing school in her early twenties and moved down to the Caribbean and lived there for years, met my dad, sailed around, finally had me and my sister, and we live in Florida. I think she would be in a bad way of she was ever more than an hour from the beach.
2oz tequila 1 oz triple sec or orange liqueur 1oz simple or 1/2 oz agave (if you want it skinny) 1 oz fresh lime juice Ice and shake Add salt to the outside of the cup not the top the (salt will go into the drink and make it taste salty) Most simple way to make a jalapeño margarita is to just muddle the jalapeños and shake with the same recipe.
Dude!, I have my own little bar set up at home and I have no idea why I never thought about "spicy simple syrup", needless to say I will always have some ready but with serrano peppers, thanks so much!
You can also make it with 1/2 of a fresh serrano (seeded and chopped into a few pieces) and put it in the shaker along with the other ingredients. Perfect amount of heat and no need to make a special infused simple syrup. I always make 2 drinks in my shaker so I use a whole serrano. The seeds will go through the strainer so you need to remove them first.
@@ThePdxster yes true, you could also keep the seeds and doubke strain it, however its also nice to have a syrup made, I went with 8 jalapeños chopped into 1 1/2 cups of water and 1 1/2 cups of sugar, and just strained that into a bottle after it set for about half an hour after boiling for around 3-5 minutes.
I picked up an ice cube tray on amazon for large cubes. There are also tutorials on youtube that show you how to make them out of a huge chunk via a red or blue cooler.
Wow great video! thank you for showing a new way to add the jalapeño kick to the margarita! You did a great job using Topo Chico. We love it here in Houston, TX too!
My favourite cocktail ever! I just had one this aft on a patio in NB, Canada but they use triple sec. It was delicious though and they use fresh lime juice. They do have a spicy margarita on the menu I'll have to try next time. I also like the whole rim salted and they only salt a portion. I'm going to buy ingredients and make myself. Cointreau for sure!! Mmmmm!!
I love everything you did Fresh lime juice over bottled garbage Cointreau over Triple Sec Silver Tequila over Gold Simple syrup Big Giant Ice cubes Perfection
Hi John, I love your cocktail recipes, unfortunately I don't drink alcohol so can't re-create at home, would you be able to make some mocktail recipes for those of us who don't drink?
Oh....MY....GOD!!! I will be making the spicy one for my husband...as he like hot sauce on everythig! But even stepping it up with a better orange liqueur made a major difference!
Love your vids. Anyone got suggestion - when you make margarita at home and follow good recipe - its a good but strong and less volume drink compared to when you get it at restaurant. What else can be added to make it still a good but not as strong and more volume - Soda? Sprite? Lemoncello?
Omg! Cutting peppers without gloves 😳 🔥 🖐️ Try the spicy with Mezcal. It's sooooooo much better. Mezcal has a lovely smoky flavor and it pairs with the chilies so nicely.
*What do you get when mix cointrea freshly lime juice and tequila...a delicious spicy jalapeño Margarita, dangerously smooth🍹and the best Cinco de Mayo.*
🌸 oh so refreshing, like mine without alcohol lol 😂 Else I fall asleep 😴 or start eating everything in sight Now I’m interested in chilli 🌶 version, oooh la la I’m so making this one 👍🏼
